Good morning Everybody from a beautiful day in Connecticut
Sue, thank you for sharing the steps to take when someone dies. I made a copy of it and will keep it on my phone and also send it to my son. Much appreciated
Sharon, sorry to hear that you have unresolved health issues. Hope you get them resolved, so you can get on with the fun things in life.
Karen and everybody experiencing extreme weather and forest fires, my heart goes out to you. We are so helpless when it comes to Mother Nature. She will have her way….

I do believe that Tina will arrive at my house today! Whoo Hoo! We’ve been at this for a few years.
Enjoy your day. Peggy

Good Morning, Peggy. Wonderful to see you open Coffee today. As to that list, you’re welcome.

I’m taking a break from cleaning the house for a few minutes. Just need to finish running the vac and dust. Then after lunch, will sit down and make sure I have everything ready to take to lawyer tomorrow. May or may not mow the yard later. It’s been cloudy so far today, with a peek of sun here and there. Pop up showers possible. Could use some.

Better get back to work here and get er done.

Peggy good to hear you and Tina will be visiting. Sue, I've been welcoming the rains here but happy that we haven't been getting the power outages and damage of other areas. Winds were quite high yesterday evening but I don't know if any damages in our park. The last two nights I've been able to sleep with the bedroom window open. That's always better!

No real plans today other than a quick run into town to fill my gallon water jugs.

I made it to the campground Thursday afternoon. It takes me only a little over an hour to get there. It’s nice to not have to travel a long way. I got to see some members from Texas that I haven’t seen in a couple of years. It was over cast every day with rain all around us. Thursday night it stormed but I didn’t hear it. If my air conditioner is running I don’t hear much outside. It rained during the night Friday but Saturday the rain started about 6:00. At least it wasn’t as hot as it could have been if it had been sunny. I got home about noon today.

Luna is doing better about barking at the campground. She got to meet two dogs because they weren’t leashed. Grrrr The people across from me had 4 dogs that were loose most of the time. Their little poodle almost got run over because when Luna and I got out of the motorhome it came running cross the road in front of a truck.

I guess you have heard the story about the Roomba that spread dog poo all over someone’s house. The cats had walked on the Roomba and started it. One of the cats had used the bathroom out side of a litter box. The Roomba had spread it all over the bathroom. Thank goodness the Roomba got caught up in the bathroom and didn’t make it out onto the carpet. I had to clean all that mess up. The roller bars are falling apart so looked on line to see if I could order some. On the Roomba site they wanted $59 for the two bars, 2 filters and the little brushes. On Amazon the same kit was only $13 so I ordered it and the rest of the stuff in my cart.

I washed two loads and unloaded most of the motorhome. I need to wash the rugs in the motorhome tomorrow. They are getting old so hope they don’t fall apart. The electricity went off about 4:30 so I decided to mow since I couldn’t do anything else. Most of the yard was too wet to mow but I got the hill mowed. The electricity came back on about 6:00. I don’t know why it went out. We weren’t having bad weather.

Tina, I’m glad you and Paulette were able to be with Lori. Good picture of you three. Have fun with Peggy.

Judy, sorry your son’s dog is sick. There are so many dogs with cancer now. Hope she is ok.

It looks like we have more rain coming and rain all week. I need to do more mowing but don't want to get the mower stuck in the mud.

The doctor's appointment for my foot is tomorrow finally. It's not hurting quite as much as it was but I'm going anyway to see if they can tell me what is wrong. It's only been hurting for 3 months.

Good afternoon. Been kind of busy this morning doing housekeeping chores. Been running little Henry's rollers off ha ha I did let him rest and recharge in between. I have been a little lax lately in the housekeeping department. So today I got busy. He still has to do the kitchen floor and guest room and can do my room tomorrow. Then that will be done. I dusted every room.....again. Will wash the bathroom and kitchen floors tomorrow. Had some lunch then went out to water and fertilize the flowers. I already fertilized the veggies before my surgery. So now I will just be kicking back doing my drop regimen sheesh.

Martha you made me laugh with your Roomba story. I only run my Roomba when I am here to see everything. If I have him on a schedule and I need to go out then I cancel it for that day. Can always restart later when I am home. I saw that video of the dog poop all over the house... I am a quick learner LOL LOL Emma has never pottied in the house since she was a pup...BUT one never knows. I buy all my supplies that work with the Roomba on Amazon. Roomba store is way too expensive and these parts work great. I have the base that sucks all the dirt out so I have to buy bags for it and they are way cheapter on Amazon. Glad you had a good time camping. Looking for a cure for your foot, lets hope that happens.

Peggy so good to see you this morning. Glad you are meeting up with Tina, one of my favorite peeps. We are under an air quality alert due to the fires but so far no real smoke here. I did hear Life Flight refused the landing zone at 7 Feathers Casino due to smoke so must be smokier about 30 miles south of me. They landed at Roseburg airport instead to pick up their patient. Right by me. Watched them take off and fly over my house along with many other planes. It has been a busy fly morning. I am used to it now. It is a regional airport so no commercial flights Mostly little planes and occasional twin engine, Reach helicopter is based here.
And Fed Ex flies every morning and late afternoon. I can almost read their tail call sign sometimes ha ha.

Well think it is iced coffee mocha time

Good afternoon,

Sharon, sorry for your medical issues and the wait to see someone. They did that to my husband and he didn't live 3 months, but they did tell us to go to the ER where that same doctor saw him that night! Peggy, good to see you here and exciting that Tina is coming! Karen, Oregon's wildfire map makes it look like there shouldn't be any of the state left! Smoke has started to roll in at my daughter's - either from Oregon or the fire north of them. I take it from FB postings you monitor a scanner? Martha, I'm sorry, but yuck! Sheila, your mom keeps you on your toes sometimes! Sorry for the loss and illness in your friends' family. When you all post about housekeeping, I know I'm a slacker! :)

We went to the Botanical Gardens yesterday here in Anchorage - I've missed doing things like that. Today my grandson picked me up for lunch and we had a good visit. He was in charge of his platoons' booth for selling pulled pork sandwiches at the air show over the weekend. He'll be here 2 more years.

Tomorrow we head out to Hatcher's Pass and the Historical Independence Gold Mine. Grandson rock climbs up that way and says it is beautiful. Has turned cooler and cloudy.

Anita yes I do monitor the scanner off and on. I became a moderator for
The Roseburg Receiver it is kind of fun. The fellow that runs it and I got to talking one evening and he asked me if I had an interest in helping. This site is only 1 year old this month but he is scary smart. He is an IT guy and works remotely for UBER. Doing computer stuff. He has feeds you can go back and listen to the scanner call if you missed location or whatever. Then he started a couple of sites that uses transcription. I like to listen and look at the transcription as it is AI generated and sometimes hilarious as it doesnt get alot of the words right but listening along helps.

I know our map looks like the whole state is on fire but many of those fires are not mega fires. Some are 0.5 acres and up. Mega fire is 100,000 acres or more. And we do have several of those. This site monitors our county but one site you can enter your state and see which stations you can monitor (this is the talking one), I monitor Fire and Dispatch mostly. Sometime DFPA (fire channel) and then there is Law 1 and Law 2 it is very interesting how many idiots are in this county ha ha Or you can monitor them all........no thank you. My brain doesnt work that fast.

Good evening! A bit late for me to be posting but I’ve thought several times today to jump on and something always sidetracked me! I mostly just wanted to thank you all for the suggestions about seeing a doctor. Trust me, seems like I’ve done nothing but see one specialist or another. Started with my doctor’s office and PA and NP and so on. I was in the emergency room not long ago too. Doctor there referred me to specialist. So on it’s gone. Tried a couple of times calling to try to get in sooner but no luck there either. So far it’s been up and down with symptoms so learning to know when and plan accordingly. So again thanks for all the input. Today turned into a rainy afternoon and evening and it’s so needed. The first round this afternoon was mostly thunder with very little rain so wondered if that was going to be all but then later it really started. No complaints from me! Guess I should’ve held off one more day to mop the kitchen floor! Buddy and I both tracked in the wet. I took up the rug in front of the door since Buddy thought it was fun to chew on it. He’s getting better with not doing it but still tries it every so often if he thinks I’m not looking! Should grab it again and put it closer to the door so I can grab it and put it down when we get rain. Peggy, good to hear from you. Enjoy you visit with Tina. Interesting about the little birds, Beth. Guess if they’re re in a drier climate they have to do what they have to do! Think it’s about time to take the boy out one last time and go get ready for bed. Didn’t sleep well last night so maybe tonight will be better! At least I can hope! Enjoy your evening!

Martha, I admit I laughed out loud about the mishap with cat and Roomba. Thanks for the chuckles.

The architectural committee came back today to make sure I followed through on the couple things necessary after their visit last week. Good thing I had both done.

Hi all,
Still trying to catch up. Had the 2 older kids last week in the afternoons after soccer camp. Spent the weekend trying to coordinate a trip to visit my 2 younger brothers in WA in mid-August. Finally booked my flights last night. Now need to get ready for a friend's visit later this week. Can't wait to see her! Other than that, I'm just lazy - enjoying no schedule (so far this week) & doing whatever I feel like doing or just nothing at all.

Sue, you still wear me out just reading all that you're doing! Two of my sisters families traveled up to Michigan recently to get out of the Midwest heat. They all loved it.
Lyn, so good hearing you chime in. I need to get down to San Diego sometime for a visit.
Martha, I have a Roomba but never thought about the situation you described. Yuck!
Peggy, so good to see you. I'm sure you & Tina will enjoy your visit.
I love hearing that some of you are getting rain. We could use some. At least it isn't terribly hot here like it is elsewhere.

I need to get a trust set up so my house doesn't go into probate when I depart this life. Just hate to spend the $$ for it. Mom had everything so well set up - she's a tough cookie to follow. Funny thing was we couldn't find her notes on what readings or music to use in her service so all 8 of us (adult) kids met one evening - each with a bible trying to pick the readings. We laughed so hard as my brothers found ones they thought were good... 'Wives submit to your husbands...' We had such a special week of togetherness & laughter - a true gift. Hope my kids are able to do the same.

Signing off for now.
Take care...

Peggy really good to see you and hope that you and Tina have a great time ... I always enjoyed it when we could visit...
Anita enjoy your visit with the grandson... they can be a joy I can't picture a botanical gardens in AK but I'm sure that it was enjoyable
Martha at least the roomba didn't get out of the bathroom... but it was fun to read...
if you needed the rain glad you are getting it... but if you don't than so sorry...
Sharon hope that you perhaps can get an earlier appointment due to someone canceling theirs that would be a help...
Caroline enjoy your trip up to WA after hearing about the fires am glad that we decided to not go... not that I know where the fires are mind you...
sounds like you can bend over Karen... how is your garden doing the one system that you are trying?? hope it's going well what do you have planted in it?
when I compare myself to Karen or Sue I know how much I don't do I find other things that fill in my time except what I should do... certainly need to vac and mop ... any takers???
been looking for a infant hat pattern think I found one even thought I found the color o yarn that she mentioned liking she is mom's aide told the nurse to tell me not pink she has too much pink and the mom is simply not a girly girl... I personally think it would be funny if he baby turns into a girly girl  anyway one color mentioned was light blue which I had so tried to do up the magic ring and start the hat having issues with the yarn so think I am going to brave the stairs into the yarn shop and get different yarn and hopefully pompoms for the grandbabies hats I don't like their stairs no railing and so hard to manage... I might take a cane I'm sure mom had hanging around here so I can get up those stairs a bit better... no other place in town to get yarn... so if you want it and can't wait till you go out of town it's the yarn shop
my friends husband was discharged from the hospital today so glad!!! as I am sure everyone is as well... need to call tomorrow and see about ordering flowers..
you all have a great day
