Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, June 13th

Good Morning everybody. Been AWOL here for awhile, so thought I had better check in. That tine of year when one is up and at em early. Been busy this past week. Always a lot to do in spring, but am getting to a point where the big project is winding down and although I have some other little projects I want to do, they will get done in their own time.

We’ve been having some beautiful weather this week with sun and mild temps. So O’Sharon, that will be heading your way. But they are saying some pretty warm weather is coming for next week. So I will get busy and hopefully finish up my landscaping around the porch this weekend. Showers and storms were predicted last night, but the whole thing fell apart and nothing happened here. We are under a Level 1 severe threat for this afternoon though.

Friend of mine is camping over at the state park here, so been going over there off and on for the past eeek and a half. We took a shipwreck cruise out on Lake Michigan this past Tuesday and went up to Mackinac yesterday. She is leaving tomorrow. Could do much last week due to rain most everyday. Not steady as Maybe half the day was nice and rain later in afternoon thing. Did manage to mow one afternoon, got my shed cleaned out and need to finish reorganizing. Got the access signs for our neighborhood lake accesses, repainted, and installed, so done with POA stuff for awhile, other than watering the flowers. Need to run to town this morning, get my errands done and come home and get busy with the hose. Everything and I mean everything, is covered with yellow pollen. It’s filthy. So will be washing the house, windows, porch, deck and sidewalks off. Once all the pollen stops coming down, then I can paint the new step and do touchups on the porch and deck.

Been reading about all the going ons with everybody. Not goi g to comment as too much has been happening to remember. I need to get a move on here anyway. So will wish you all a nice day and catch you later.

Good morning. Pretty good day predicted for here today 80 BUT now they are saying we will have a few hours this afternoon of gusty winds, I hate wind!!!! So will get out later this morning to deadhead and fertilize a few plants. I took Emma to the vet yesterday for her vaccinations so my wallet is lighter of course. This morning we have a grooming appointment at 9. Need to go to the court house sheriff dept to get my new dog license. Not sure if I will do that while Emma is getting groomed or wait til next week. She is only at the groomers for an hour so not sure if I will have enough time. Also need a Costco run for just a few things ha ha want to get a rotisserie chicken to make some casseroles and some wild alaskan caught salmon filets. I do not like any kind of FARMED fish or Atlantic salmon, Not a big red meat fan so would rather invest in the seafood part of the food chain.

Time to get my butt in gear and start my day

Beth, you are a couple of days ahead of me because I thought today was Wednesday, and had to check my cell phone when I went to the bank today! What would we do without cell phones?

Went to UPS store to print a form, then to bank to sign it and get a "guaranteed signature," to the grocery store to pick up some onion rolls, and finally to post office to mail some stuff. It is hot today, and I am really worn out.

I have got to get more walking in because I have run out of excuses for being out of breath when I walk. I saw a cardiologist a year or so ago, and everything with my heart is fine. I can no longer blame it on going out of remission with my CLL because my recent blood tests showed I had absolutely perfect numbers in all tests. Only possibility left is just plain being lazy and being out of shape. So, I am going to start using my fitbit and recording my steps outdoors. Need to walk around campground at least twice a day.

We shall see how long my good intentions last.

Good late evening!

I worked on the living room today but also was working on a project so I only got half of the living room done. Got the project half done with spray painting. Will post a photo when I am done with it!

I am hoping I can drag my butt out of bed early tomorrow morning (7am-ish) to work on the trim on the deck and get that done before it gets too hot. Low overnight will be 78*. The rest of the weekend the low temps will be in the mid 80's.

It is that time of year to trim back the palm trees. I am thinking they will be getting to mine maybe tomorrow afternoon or not until Monday. They were working a couple blocks over from me today.

I talked to my SIL, Julie, today. They are coming out a day earlier than planned so will be here next Thursday afternoon. I told her we could go out for dinner at my favorite little Italian restaurant that night. Friday we can head up the hill to Idyllwild for the day. It is always 30* cooler up there than down here, and Friday will be 112* here! Saturday, we could drive thru Joshua Tree NP.

She told me that David was told last week that he needs surgery to remove the tumor on his adrenal gland on one of his kidneys. They have an appointment tomorrow to find out if he is healthy enough to have surgery. :?

I called the hearing test doctor to reschedule my appointment next Friday since David and Julie will be here then. They asked if I have already had the MRI they requested. I said I am still waiting for my insurance to OK it. She did some checking and it turns out the person who is supposed to call the insurance company for those things, never called them! I asked if they requested the approval for my hearing aid and she said that didn't happen either, so she was going to put in another request for that to be done. I was there a month ago! She said once I get the MRI, I can schedule another appointment. I just can't believe the incompetence at all these places! The only place I can count on things going smoothly is where I get my PT.

It is super windy tonight! :o The noise makes me nervous.

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, not my business of course. . . but since you mentioned it, why do you need an MRI for a hearing test?
