Sunny Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Saturday

Good late morning gals!

Gloria's daughter was next door removing the last of her stuff from the house this morning. I went out to chat with her. She said she thinks there is a small clause in the bi-laws to get around the 9 month rule. I will have to check on that. She also said that the votes for that rule were like 250 for it and 243 against it. There are about 1200 people who live here, so not a lot voted either way.

Last night I had a headache so I took what I thought was Ibuprofin. :? I tend to put different meds in small containers to keep in my purse or pack for a trip. I usually label them but not always. Well, I got up this morning and went to pee. I was terrified when I stood up and the water was red!!! :o  Then I realized the pills I took were actually Pyridium which is for UTI pain and they turn your urine orange, but since I took two, it was red! Yikes! :o No harm done but sure scared me! I guess I better label my containers better! Those tablets look exactly like the Ibuprofin tablets. Scary but a lesson learned!!

Made some tuna salad yesterday so I have that to eat for a couple days. Ironically, I have all this money for food now and I am not eating much of anything. Gloria's daughter told me that Gloria is eating really well now. I told her that is because she has someone making all her meals for her! I would eat better too if I had someone cooking for me!

I better get busy here. Lots more cleaning and sorting to do!

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

My mother and nearby aunts did a lot of canning when I was a child—tomatoes, pears, crabapples, sweet and dill pickles, and various jams. My dad even made sauerkraut in a big crock in the garage. And both he and my mother baked bread so I learned to bake bread when I was 11-12. I also had a babysitter who liked to bake so we would make cookies, cakes, and candy.

I made sure when I bought my motorhome that it had a stove and oven as well as a microwave.

At my son’s condo on a canal off Sandusky bay today. Went for long boat ride. Not as busy as Memorial Day luckily.

Barbie, it's scary to take the wrong meds, but luckily no damage done. If that for money has to be spent, but some freezer type meals for some. I know I'm not in the mood to cook much in the heat, and there are some good ones. Healthy ones, too. And get fruits and veggies you can snack on. I love my healthy smoothies so always keep frozen strawberries and bananas with my powdered base, etc. It hits the spot in the hot weather. Just some suggestions.

Ty and I walked for an hour or longer this morning. We even walked through some new home construction and through a couple of those houses. I think we both enjoyed it. A could workers showed up at I've of the houses so we decided to keep out after that. But maybe we'll look some more tomorrow. Bi don't think they work on Sundays. Lol. Yes I'm nosy. We got home about 8. I'm doing my best at going to bed early so I can get up early. Not in my nature, but is working well.

Good afternoon. Been a busy morning. Had several errands to do one which was getting my hair trimmed. Feels much better but might go shorter next time, we shall see. Getting tired of the same old hairstyle. I have dumb hair tho so cant be too choosey. It is very fine and there isnt enough mousse around to make it thicker. And it is thinner now that I am of the older persuasion LOL

Need to bake my cake this afternoon or tomorrow morning for the BBQ. It doesnt start until 2pm so I have plenty of time in the morning. Just finished some lunch so wont want much for dinner I am sure. Just kicking back this afternoon.

Sheila, I asked this of you on FB, too.... Just thought immediately of you when I heard about the Teton Pass mudslide. Will this effect you?

because I don't use the pass that much not as much as those people that commute daily for work ... I bet my grandson is so happy he changed jobs so he isn't coming over daily... but when I need to go to the big city (Idaho Falls ) it will add quite a bit of time on to the trip and if mom was to pass away before it's fixed it will add an hour to the traveling to get to the cemetery ... It's truly a beautiful drive one I don't mind riding over but one that I'm not fond of driving...there has been sarcastic talk over the years of putting a tunnel through the mountain... it would make that drive much easier year round but not a pretty a drive... have a family occasion coming up so will have to figure out how much earlier I will need to leave to arrive on time in the big city
can't get the bandages to stay on put them on twice today I think hospice won't be happy with me... and I'm not too good at keeping her on her side either... she is getting up and going to the bathroom more so hopefully her depends is not as wet
didn't do anything that I should have but that isn't a surprise... was reading scriptures and felt light headed so went out to see if the concentrator was working right seemed to be no kinks in the hose not sure what was causing it I did start a supplement today perhaps that was it
it's a good thing Barbie that the pill wasn't a big problem... and the hope of finding a loophole did she tell you what to look for?
dd is coming over tomorrow to do laundry hate that she has to add so much time to her trip over not sure if doing the freeway to almost IF would be best or going through the back roads and small towns will work the best
glad you are getting better at getting up earlier and taking the longer walks Beth...
Karen what cake are you making?
I saw a recipe that I really want to try... you halve strawberries lengthwise cut off the hump in the back so they will lay flat then make a mixture of cream cheese powdered sugar and whipping cream probably vanilla as well... then you put that in the center of the strawberry... like deviled eggs  it was a reel my dd shared looked so good
you all have a great day
