Monday Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday Monday

Good Morning. I’ve been AWOL for quite some time. But I have been keeping up with all of you, just haven’t had the energy to post. I’ve remembered Rabbits every month but didn’t do me a lot of good. Had a rough start to the year. Started out with ending up in the hospital on Christmas night and spending five days with pneumonia. Came home and a week later ended up with a severe sinus infection. Got over that and then I started having stomach issues, which I attributed to all the medication I had been taking. Nope…it was an ulcer. By the end of February, I was starting to feel human again. In March I fell now putting on my jeans (that Facebook meme about this is no joke) and I sprained my knee. I spent March and most of April gimping around with that. I can finally walk halfway decent, but it is still weak. I’ve been going to PT to strengthen it. Other than that, not much has been happening. I haven’t been out and about much.

I sit on the patio and watch the campers heading to the state campgrounds in Yankton and Pickstown and get a tear in my eye. We gave the camper to the kids last summer.

Finally got all my pots planted. Sean and I put up the swimming pool yesterday, so the grands are happy. They’ll go in it when the water is freezing….I’ll be waiting awhile. Ashley isn’t teaching summer school this summer and is working at the golf course part-time. So I’ll have Haddie quite a bit this summer. Ashley was hired as a SPED teacher in the Avon district, so she’ll be teaching in the same school as the kids next year. That means I won’t have them before school a couple days a week anymore.

I’m not even going to attempt to address each of you separately. So much has transpired since I last posted I wouldn’t even know where to start.

Have a good day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Oh, Pat, I'm so sorry for how this year has been going for you. I'm glad to hear things are improving and hope that continues.

I made a quick Safeway run this morning and bought less than I expected. But they had BBQ ribs on sale in the deli so I bought enough for two meals, one of which I'll have tonight. Also got a quickie car wash at the lowest price. It did ok, but some bird poop is in need of a little more assistance in removal. Lol

There's a little breeze outside that I enjoyed with windows and door open. I know my temp in here says 90, but with the breeze I was comfortable. Until it changed direction. Shut up and turned on my AC set at 80 and comfie again.

I have a furniture piece I purchased just before leaving here last fall still sitting in a box. I might just see about putting it together and see if it fits where I thought it would be useful. Yes, I've been lazy about it and tomorrow might be soon enough LoL

Good afternoon!

Yesterday I actually spent a few hours doing all my laundry! :o Didn't get a whole lot else done.

This morning I did a haircut and then ran some errands. Got gas, stopped at Hobby Lobby for a few little things, and went to Planet Fitness for a hydrotherapy massage! Much needed since my back is still sore from working on the closet the other day! No sciatica pain at all but just sore muscles from bending and twisting to get in there with the drill, etc. I ended up at WM for a few things, including a case of protein drinks since I am not eating a lot lately, and then headed home. I picked up a ladder from a neighbor and used that to put up the covers on the skylights to keep the heat out this summer. I have two skylights on the vaulted ceilings so I need a tall ladder to get up to them. (yes, I am very careful!) It is supposed to get in the low one-hundred teens by the end of the week! Summer is here! I keep the temps in here around 80* if I am not doing anything, but if I am busy doing stuff (or sleeping), I set it down to 77* to keep it more comfortable.

Now will put my laundry away, clean the bathroom and hopefully get to a couple other things before the end of the day. Working on a few little fun projects too. Gotta take advantage of the days when I am full of energy and motivation!

Tomorrow, I have my ADHD dr appointment. I think I will see if I can increase the dose to 50 mg and see if there is still more improvement to make.

Pat, sorry you have had a rough half year so far. Hopefully, the second half will be much better!

We haven't heard from Catherine for awhile. I think she took a trip to France not long ago (thought I read that on FB :? ).

Carol, those pillow covers are so pretty! You are so talented! Now that it is hot out, maybe you can use Bill's treadmill. I think you can get videos where it looks like you are viewing from a bike and riding thru beautiful places. Might make the treadmill more enjoyable.

I still need to get to the pool for water walking but I always have something going on in the mornings lately. I need to get a big floppy hat to keep the sun off my face and neck. I am still slowly losing weight so regular exercising would be a good thing for me to be doing at the same time.

Have a good evening!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It started raining again at 3:00 am but not storming. Of course, Luna woke me up and I couldn't go back to sleep. My alarm was set for 5:00 because I had to go bring my son to a surgery center for hernia surgery so I just got up. Before his surgery he was talking about where we could eat later. I didn't tell him anything and after the surgery he wasn't so spry. lol I picked up a lunch for him and brought him home. Tonight he is feeling better.

It's already in the 90's when it's not raining. It's storming in North Louisiana and the weather man doesn't think we will get any of it but who knows. My yard needs to be mowed but it is too wet. I cut Luna's yard with the push mower. That mower cuts kind of high so that grass could be cut every other day. I can't lower the mower because it's too hard to push.

Pat, sorry your year started off rough. I have decided that if something didn't hurt I would think I was dead.

I have been wanting BBQ ribs too. The deli has them sometimes but their ribs aren't that great. I like fried ribs too but I seldom fry things now.

actually did a couple of things but didn't get the plants watered...poor things they really need me to do that...
the nurse came and gave mom a shower mom really didn't want it but finally agreed that it would be okay... while she got her shower I vacuumed I'd tore out some dead foliage on the two plants that will be going outside I brought them in to see if they would survive one did one didn't the one that did I think I will pull it in for the night it's feeling chilly tonight... but then again maybe not it's not going to be under 40 so will perhaps let it say out tomorrow though I really need to water the plants... it rained today a lot of the day...
so over slept a case of staying up way to late.... need to change that habit
Pat so good to hear from you but also so sorry you have had a wretched first half of the year!!! hopefully that black cloud is on it's way out of your life
Sandi that sounds like it was a great trip I may have to try it but go east further so I can end up at granddaughter's place...
they have been awarding a train trip on Wheel of Fortune but the problem with it is some of the places they will see on this train trip is Yellowstone and GTNP makes me wonder where that train goes and how far they have to ride a bus to get to the parks :o
you all have a great day
