Another Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Saturday

I'm in amazement that we are 1/3 of the way through May already. Some days go slow but then the weeks and months just pass so quickly.

I got lectured from my doctor yesterday since it was 1 1/2 to 2 years since my last visit. She got over it lol. But already has me scheduled for early October before I head east. I still need to get my bloodwork done, see my dermatologist and have a mammogram. I need to see about new hearing aids but they simply aren't in my budget right now.

I'm always on the lookout for snakes when trimming or even just walking here, especially this time of year.

My laundry is hanging out to dry. Might all be dry by now. This desert dry air gets the job done fast. I think as fast as putting things in a dryer. Love it.

Just came in from doing some yard stuff. I went out early like 7:30. Moved some dirt into one of the pots. Planted my Martha Washington Geraniums, put 2 more of my round raised beds together Came in had some breakfast then went back out to water. Straightened up my back deck, looked a bit like a war zone....but no more.
I might get the power washer out tomorrow and wash the front deck off and after it dries I will restain it for this year. Will go out this evening and finish planting my Impatiens and Geraniums out front. Tomorrow I will plant my other two plants and my Rhododendron and a yellow rose bush. I am not a rose person....but the price was right and it loves full sun so we shall see. It will either thrive or meet a demise either way I still bought it. Then I will reevaluate what kind of other plants to get. I am putting these in the round beds I bought. I would prefer them in the ground but that is not happening here. Cement-like clay soil. I hate it hence all the raised beds. I was going to tackle my watering system but it was really warming up out there and I needed lunch. Now I need to catch up on some of my shows.

I am going to renew my Sirius XM soon, but only for the news channels. That's all I listen to anyway, and much cheaper!! It gives me something to do on long drives.

Made it to a state park near Knoxville, TN, tonight. Full of weekenders and tight spots, but fine for one night. Chatted with full-timing couple next door and we shared stories of hard stops and things flying around RV, using a dash cam, and some other fun things.

Tomorrow, I will be on the border of Kentucky. Short drive, but much better than todays very long and lots of traffic and accidents drive through Georgia.

I got one thing done on my to do list... got mom into the shower and out and hair set... she was not happy I wasn't happy she sat at the table for over an hour then complained that she wanted to sit in her recliner for a bit instead of taking her shower right then... the problem is I hate to wake her up to do something like that so if I don't give it before she settles down then it doesn't happen because I get caught up in what I feel like doing in the evening after cleaning up supper I color a bit then crochet my two rows then get on the computer I really don't like to change my schedule she even stomped her feet not the best day however she actually ate more than a couple of bites... almost ate all her cream of wheat finished her grapefruit and drank her milk ... win win supper was catfish fillets corn and fries cole slaw she ate the catfish most of the corn didn't want cole slaw and she rarely eats fries even the home cut steak fries so think she did better
she came to my room and asked me to turn off the fan that was running I thought what fan??? shouldn't have been one on so I went out to the kitchen area its actually the dining room but not used as a dining room and where the concentrator is put for the day time told her that it was on needed to be on when it dawned on me that the sound I'd been hearing wasn't the chime sounding funky cause I could hear an alarm realized it was the machine so checked to see if the hose was kinked it wasn't turned it off and back on alarm started sounding again in a few minutes. so off it went again and back on and the alarm started again...so called the company she had me turn it on unplug it then turn it off then plug it in and turn it on it didn't take long for the alarm to start again so she asked if I had enough tanks to last till Monday which I should have but going to be leaving for awhile at the end of the week so somehow I'm going to need to get more tanks and they don't deliver this week...guess I will talk to the gal that will be coming on Monday 4 feet isn't very far
dd and her husband is coming over tomorrow not sure if any of the kids are or not and my youngest brother is also coming ... dd is bringing food no idea what told her I had strawberries that we could make strawberry short cake with...
I like roses so am hoping that they will do well for you Karen are they a hybrid or what
Judy where are you headed to so quickly?
you all have a great day

Sheila, I am headed to REV/Fleetwood factory service in Indiana. There are several things in RV that need fixing so I have appt for Wednesday. I need to get there Tuesday night so I can stay in their very nice lot with electric.

I decided I either need to buy new RV or spend some money getting stuff fixed. I have 201,000 miles on this one. Cheaper to get stuff fixed. Want them to check both slides, find and fix leak which I think is hot water tank, nail down some loose wall panels, see if they can replace glass shower door, and maybe give price on new loveseat. Also maybe inspect roof

I will not go back to dealer I bought from because they refused to fix warranty issues 12 years ago. Factory service is same cost and they do better job. So I will spend two or three nights there. Only problem is have to be unplugged and check in office at 7:30 am!!! Better than when it used to be 6:00 am!!

Nice waiting areas and free laundry!
