Sunny Tuesday - Happy Halloween!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Tuesday - Happy Halloween!

We kids used to do a lot of things our parents never knew about--climbed high in big trees, started camp fires in a nearby vacant area, and picked strawberries in a field with a bull, among other things! The kid who threw the cat from the lighthouse was about 7 or 8, so I guess he did not know better.

One exercise to build strength I was given by PT was just getting up and down from a chair. Make it a straight chair without arms and just stand up and slowly sit down, several times in a row, several times a day.

Gamble Rogers SP is not fancy, and there is road noise because it is long and skinny along A!A, but there are several spots where you can camp facing the ocean, very close to the beach. Some of the spots have a lot of scrub blocking the view, but I have one of the good spots where I can pull in and watch the ocean through my front window! It's about 15 miles north of Daytona Beach, and there are also campsites across the highway.

Good morning...still barely. The sun came out a bit earlier than it has been. Got the brush in the garbage for Friday pickup. Still have some room for my bags of garbage but it is heavy now. Cant believe tomorrow is November 1st, where do these months go geez. Then we turn our clocks back UGH I hate that it is dark so early. I dont go anywhere when it is dark as I just dont see that well at night. Not that I go anywhere at night anyway it is just the principal. It gets dark I think I need to go to bed LOL I go to bed around 9 and get up early so I like having my coffee and cruising the internet before I start my day. Was up at 4 this morning but that is a bit too early I like 5:30 or 6 Oh well I will sleep good tonight. If I was to take a nap I wouldnt sleep nearly as well so I will just keep busy.

Charged my carport camera yesterday so had to put that back up this morning. Didnt wash my car yesterday so maybe today. I know it is going to rain on Thursday but I dont care at least it will be clean for a day or two.
Going to have salmon cakes and roasted brussels sprouts for dinner. I love those small cans of salmon I get at Costco, makes 2 medium salmon patties, just right. Changing the bed linen and then another load of darks. Then it will be done for a while. Need to dust also...again.

Beth trailer "looking". Will be interested to see what she can find. Lyn out "scooter traveling". Glad to see you still get out. I dont have anywhere I have to go until Thursday for my labs. Yay...not. Might send Henry to do the kitchen and dining area after lunch then I can Swiffer the floor, I saw a couple of spots so that wont take long. OK just a quick break in the action right now.

Well, my intentions were good even after I got up, but after taking Ty out for his first potty walk, I came in, turned on the TV and been watching it and eating ever since. No trailer looking today.

I, also, don't drive at night anymore, so I'm not looking forward to cutting my days even shorter. I was used to it in Arizona, but somehow was convincing myself to get up early there, before it was too hot.

Back to TV lolol

Late afternoon and partly cloudy on this final day of October here in northern Michigan. . A beautiful day after a week of rain and then snow. Temp is around 40. Dogs and I just returned from a long walk in the woods. About 2 and a half miles. Thry had a great time, all kinds of sniffs to check out and Piper gave chase to what I assume was a squirrel or rabbit. She was back in a couple minutes. The only excitement I had was getting my feet tangled up with a hidden branch under the leaves and taking a tumble in the leaves. That was followed by two very rambunctious dogs who thought that was great fun having mom down in the leaves   . Then they of course got into a wrestle session followed by some mini chases. They don’t chase each other through the woods like they did when they were younger though. So now there are a couple of tired but happy dogs soud asleep. One in one outside.

Yep, tine change coming pretty soon. Everybody hates days getting shorter and nights longer, but in all actuality, it doesn’t matter. It’s gong to get darker earlier in the evening or in the morning no matter if it’s DST or ST. Whether you have to drive in the dark in the morning or late afternoon, you still have to drive in the dark. We change time and then get light later and dark earlier for about 8-10 weeks, and it starts to go the other way again. As we get into mid November here, we get dark by 5:30 and daylight around 8:10. I don’t drive after dark anymore either.

Cleaned the house this morning and got the Christmas woodcrafts primed and ready to work on. Will be changing the front entrance over to Thanksgiving theme later this week.

I probably won’t be up late tonight either. I watched the Detroit Lions on Monday Night football last night. . Was a great exciting game. I’m not one to watch football much anymore, but Detroit has a great team this year, so thought I would check it out. Glad I did. Been a long time coming. The stadium was packed with a cheering, clapping, sign waving crowd, whom I think stood through the whole game. Black, white, young, old, all having the time of their lives, all wrapped up in the moment.. I thought how come can we can’t do that all the time.

Good evening gals.

Still feeling yucky off and on. Tonight I have a splitting headache and those dogs across the street are going nuts with barking non-stop for well over an hour! And they aren't even outside! They are in the house barking like that! I don't know how those people can stand that. I closed my window and I can still hear them barking! Not doing my mood or headache any good.

I only got 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night. Couldn't get my mind to get quiet. So I was exhausted at work today. I am just about ready to get to bed now. Hopefully, I can get to sleep right away. Took a couple Ibuprofin and a half a sleepy tablet.

My manager came in on Sunday from 10 to 2 which was a godsend! The new gal got stuck on a haircut and even I didn't think I could have fixed it! Luckily, the manager worked with her on it while I took care of the other customers. It was busy. I am so over this job! I am just kind of crabby and testy lately but every little thing is driving me crazy!

Need to try and get to sleep now... Happy Halloween! And Rabbits!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I actually did what I planned on doing....yesterday  at least it is done
we had a few trick or treaters but I didn't buy any candy... didn't turn on the outside lights either... sorta felt badly
one of the things I did was clean out the ashes in the pellet stove dumped them out put the bin back in and latched one side couldn't get the other side to latch so thought perhaps one side needs to be done before the other... so unlatched and did the side I couldn't latch and same thing couldn't get the other side to latch... not sure what the problem was or is as it's still a problem... called niece she said they probably couldn't come today so later I heard what sounded like the garbage can being pulled up then heard sounds at the door and though hmmm guess nephew came but he didn't come inside so went to see if the door was unlocked so opened the door and saw a car turning on the corner that looked like theirs...I think it needs to be vacuumed under the bin but that involves getting on the knees that isn't happening  I dropped my crochet hook last night and couldn't pick it up with the grabber that mom has was pushing it further under the couch... so got down and reached it and picked it up but boy did the knees hurt just those few moments...
even worked on the shrug hopefully am doing it correctly
you all have a great day
