Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning all. Up at o’dark thirty this morning. Woke up about 4:30, couldn’t go back to sleep so finally got up at 5. It’s 42 degrees out there and supposed to be a nice day. Having a 3 dsy break from the rain showers finally. Fall color going Into next stage with the yellows popping now. I’m still doing leaves. Caught up a bit for the moment. Have the sub entrance and the waking path done and my yard under control. Daily temps are gradually going down. Normal highs now are low 50’s.

Other than working outside when I can, running errands, painting on my woodcrafts, nothing much going on here. Picked up a half sheet of plywood the other dsy, so now I can trace patterns and cut out final Christmas display figures. Last of that for this year.

Molly had a follow up BP check yesterday. BP is good, so she no longer needs the meds. Happy about that. And she has so much more energy, now that she’s off all that stuff. Just on the herbal supplements now and the eye drops. She really looks forward to heading to this new vet. Can’t wait to get into the clinic. About drags me across the parking lot  You can tell they love animals.

Been reading posts and sounds like everybody’s doing okay. Carol, glad to hear that Bill is dong much better. Sometimes we have to find our own cures. One of my neighbors husbands is down with Covid at the moment. She’s fine so far. Sharon, hope Buddy is doing well with his training. Course you won’t know till you see him.

For those of you who are pet owners, I posted a link in General Talk under Marijuana and Pets. It’s a warning about keeping THC and other edibles away from our pets. A women here was viciously attacked by her dog after she gave it a THC gummy.

Heading to Petoskey this morning. Time for a trip to Hobby Lobby. Ours as a flurry of activity yesterday with crews working to finish up the exterior and the HVAC stuff being lifted to the roof, HVAC and Plumbing people there etc. Latest news is a January opening. Guess some issues with HVAC set them back. Goodwill is all closed in now except for doors and glass, then inside work. Menards had their parking lot put in Friday and Saturday. It’s a race to get outside stuff done before snow and colder temps arrive. HL and Goodwill are tornado rebuilds, Menards is is new business. Competes with Lowes and Home Depot.

Planning to head down along the lakeshore to the Friske Or Orchards farm market on the way home. Out of cider and will probably have a wood fired pizza for lunch. Hoping for some nice fall color along the way. Should be fun day coming up.

Good Morning Sue. I too was up at o'dark thirty, 4:30 for me. Just was wide awake so laid there for a few minutes but my back said for me to get up. Just finished my coffee and a bite of breakfast. Henry just woke up and is headed to my bedroom and formal dining area this morning. Then I will dust and going to wash my dining room windows, probably just the inside tho, we shall see if it warms up enough or not for me to do the outside. 52/72 cloudy today. Also need to throw a little water at my Anthurium and Thanksgiving cacti. Have a few things to file in the office, trying not to get a huge pile.

My computer has been acting up so trying to fix that is a major pain. It is probably obsolete now LOL Deleted a bunch of files thinking it was just getting full but that didnt really help, so will see how it goes. Might be going in the trash LOL I hate to have to get another one because they all come with Windows 11. I just hate another leaning curve. Will look at a few Youtube videos to see what the big differences are now.

Took some chicken out of the freezer yesterday and will throw some in the crockpot and make a couple chicken tenders in the air fryer. Going to have another acorn squash today, they are sooooo good. OK off to get something accomplished.

Good morning!

The sun has come out! I was thinking yesterday that the heat and cold don't bother me nearly as much as the gloomy days! We did get more rain so that's good. Plan is get the planter out to the patio closet today. Need to wash windows and clean up patio.

My son-in-law's obituary came out and yesterday I read the messages left. They were from classmates and co-workers. He was a night nurse and the co-workers especially left great messages and memories. Helped me to learn he had a great work family and he could be himself there.

Safe travels, Beth!

Anita, it's always good to learn nice things about people, even after they're gone.

Sheila, I've been invited back for the whole season, for any part of the season, down to a single month. Lol. I told him I'm seriously considering it. I'll need to go to SD sometime later summer/early fall for my driver's license. I'd like to spend more time with my bff and another weekend plus with my sister could be in the cards, too. So there's a good possibility I'll go back. I asked if I could have a specific site if I did go back and he said to give him dates and he'd lock it for me. Haha. Most wouldn't want the site, but it's perfect for me, the back corner, facing a field with a long grassy area across the road perfect for walking Ty when the place is busy. I did ask if the one person I'd prefer not to work with will be back, and he said, so far no. Having been a boss I understand employee problems. He says this season was the best group. Last year he didn't do an employee dinner. I'm sure I'll go back, just need to figure the dates for me. Probably similar to this year.

Sunday night I couldn't go to sleep for a long time and was tired all day yesterday. I took some Aleve PM when I went to bed last night and didn't get up until 9:00 this morning. I was looking at my sleep on the Fitbit site and it shows that I wake up a lot during the night. Probably because 5 cats are trying to sleep with me. I have been making all of them come in at night. Went to town to get a hair cut. It was either that or I was going to start cutting on it myself. Went to Walmart and remembered everything except cat litter.

I finally got in touch with the carpenter and supposedly he is coming on Thursday. Everything that was in the bathroom is in the floor in the bedroom. I would sure like to have my bathroom back.

I made a corn casserole I saw on Facebook that called for canned corn and jiffy cornbread mix. It was ok but don't think I'll make it again.

Tuesday was the neurosurgeon for me. He said and showed me what they think may be a tiny aneurysm. It's 3 mm or less. People often never know they have these, unless, for another reason, they have an MRI, like my high BP incident. At 3 mm or less they are unlikely to ever cause an issue, but he said proper course is to do another MRi in a year and if it had grown, investigate further. I guess I'm relieved. He had no answers on why my high BP, but the new RX seems to be helping. This morning BP lowest am BP in over a month.
Tomorrow i see my Bowen therapist about my neck. She has helped in past.
It's nice weather here, has been 80's during day, but we need rain! They say wednesday and Thursday will be our last chance at. 90 ° for the year. About time!
Have a good day.

Somehow I missed reading on here yesterday. :?

Sue, we have Menards in Minnesota. I loved them! So much better than HD or Lowes! They held their own with those stores, too. They have everything there, not just the handyman and construction stuff. Kind of a mix of HD and WM with tons of other stuff as well.

Beth, congrats on being invited back. Other than that one co-worker, you seemed to really like working there.

Martha, I have a recipe for corn casserole that I love. Did yours have creamed and regular corn and sour cream along with the Jiffy corn bread mix?

Velda, glad things are getting better for you now.

I left a voicemail message for Lyn...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, the corn casserole I made sounds like yours. It called for cream corn, regular corn, sour cream, butter and jiffy. It just seemed like it needed something to me. I ate about a fourth of it so it must not have been too bad. lol

Good morning, everyone.

Velda, sorry to hear about the possible aneurysm, but good news that it does not seem too serious. Good news also about your lowered BP. Here's hoping it continues to stay low.

Well, off to do laundry and the "usual".

Have a good day, everyone.
