Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday Afternoon

Good afternoon. I just got home from work. Taking a break then will get Ty out for a walk. I didn't sleep good last night so I'd rather just go to bed already lol. Don't dare or I'll be up all night.

Good afternoon, Beth and all,

With long pants and long-sleeved shirt, I guess it's time to plan for winter! I received a good-sized Costco order today and will be making a Wal Mart list after researching recipes. I think our seasons here are rain, triple digit temps, smoke and snow! One of the ski resorts near here got a tiny bit of snow overnight. I've also researched about wintering my plants and have more shelving on the way for the patio closet.

Karen, fun that your ex-neighbor is coming! Barbie, I hope that customer got home okay, too! How scary. Velda, glad you had a good sleep! Beth, I don't know how I'd survive if I couldn't nap when needed! Sheila, I'm so glad you are getting to visit family!

Monica texted me after yesterday's soccer game - other team pushed, tripped, cussed and called the girls names! 7th and 8th graders so imagine where this world is headed! Her take is that the ref has seen it and given up on doing anything about it.

Good afternoon. Anita it was very chilly and fall like here this morning also. 41/76 sunshine right now. Been doing some housekeeping chores and a little bookkeeping.
Haven't figured out dinner yet but I have lots to choose from. I am thinking chicken wings tonight. I might make some french fries, or roasted potatoes to go with it. We shall see.
Henry lost his mind this morning. His bin was full and his contacts for the automatic clean base wouldnt let him empty his bin. So I cleaned his contacts, dusted out his bin and put him back on the clean base. After that worked he took off to do his scheduled maintenance but instead is cleaning the whole house. I will have to end that project in a bit as I dont want him in a couple of places right now, so will tell Alexa to send him home LOL
I bought a DVD player so need to hook that up today or tomorrow. Laura gave me Maverick Top Gun DVD to watch. I know it is streaming right now but not without ads on what I subscribe to. I need to buy a few cheap DVD's as if the power goes out I can watch them. My generator will run the tv and whatever else I need. I also found my old HD antenna that I used when I first moved here as no cable or internet at the time. I would like to see some local news once in a while so think that might work if I have all the cords LOL ahhh technology gotta love it. I can watch local news on my computer but that is kind of a pain.

OK mocha time and a couple of sugar free cookies

Had a very good time driving and walking around Belle Island today with a good friend. It was the perfect day for it--sunny and about 77 degrees out with a nice breeze off the river. Both Detroit and Canada looked great.

I have been determined to make cherry jam because it is so hard to get. I finally have all the equipment, so for the last couple of days, I have been trying to find sour pie cherries. I called several stores, described what I wanted, and at two, the store person went back to the freezer department and checked. Yup, they had several packages of frozen cherries. I got there and found out in both cases, what they had were sweet, dark Bing or similar eating cherries. What I had asked for was the bright red, tart, pie cherries. Finally found them at Gordon Foods. Figured they would have them because those are the ones professional chefs would use for pies and other baking. Only problem is that it is a 5 pound bag, so I will not only have plenty for jam, but might have to make some cherry tarts. Will have to look up some recipes when I have made the jam. I will have to be careful not to thaw more than I need. My plans are to use my hand blender to chop them up for the jam.

And, yes, there are a lot of signs of coming fall, especially the chilly nights. Actually, that feels good to me, and I'll bet a lot of you in the hot areas are glad to see fall coming. Driving back into the campground, I saw another sign of winter coming--the fattest groundhog I have ever seen!!

Good evening gals!

Well, today turned out a little different than planned, even tho I didn't really have a plan. My agent called this morning and said he has someone who wants to see the house (with their own agent) at 3pm today. I slept in late but then got busy cleaning the house. I had done some yesterday but just basic putting stuff away. Today I cleaned everything too. Lots of fur, litter, and dust all over. Then I went outside and got my leaf blower out and blew off the deck. What a mess! Dust, dirt and dead grass everywhere which ended up all over me too, from the blower. Blew off the furniture, patios, and driveway too. Put out the chair cushions and opened up the umbrella, even tho it was a bit windy out. I left just before they got here and went to the library and then stopped for gas before going back home. They were in the house for almost a half hour which is always a good sign. I met my agent afterward and he said the couple really liked the house. So now we wait and see what happens with that. I guess they are from Washington and looking for a snowbird home. Only one issue is they want to put a king bed in the bedroom, but that will be a tight fit. It will fit, but the built in dresser drawers will probably not open all the way. I have a full-size bed and it works fine. A queen would work pretty good too. They may have to learn to get more cozy in a smaller bed, if they want this place. :o

Took a long shower earlier to get all the dirt off me. :o Just been reading tonight and hanging out with the cats. No plans for tomorrow. Maybe next week will be an Idyllwild day trip. Good thing I didn't go up there today, with having to clean for the showing.

Anita, are you higher in elevation there than at your other place?

Karen, I tell you, Henry needs a vacation before he has a nervous breakdown!
ahhh technology gotta love it

...or hate it  Just sayin'
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie fingers crossed they buy your place. This is the season starting for Snowbirds to start looking to button someplace down.
Hey Henry has Sundays off No vacation for that fellow. He did get all spiffed up today tho after his lengthy cleaning job. I had to tell Alexa to tell him to go home I was done herding him around to keep him away from where he is not supposed to go. He was only supposed to do the Hallway, Kitchen and Kitchen dining area. A 20 minute job but he lost his mind and was doing the whole house.
I have to admit I do love technology, even if it is a bit frustrating sometimes. I learn most of it on Google and Youtube. I watched lots of videos when I got my new car and also my new phone. I dont know everything either one of them can do but I have them doing what I NEED them to do, so it is all good.

Judy glad you had a good day with your friend. I am excited to see my friend on Monday also, it has been too long.

Off to bed, it is almost 9 ha ha ha

totally vegged out today didn't go anywhere at all.. sil went to the chiropractors I didn't go with her though... slept read scriptures about then they got home... so worked on the Swedish Weave finished the knots and pinned the sides... then while they watched the cub game I did one side .... one more side and it's done yea!!! the one side took me two hours so assume that the other side will as well...I have a friend that lives about 45 minutes away I need to contact her and see if we can meet up if so where and when... the family is having a gtg on Saturday so know that is out I am thinking of leaving on Monday and heading back west although that is in jello at this point.. maybe Tuesday but sil has appointment to get report on the sleep test she just took at 9:00 just looked and it's only a couple of hours to Des Moines so might have friend met me somewhere for breakfast and then leave guess I need to call her and see what is best to do I can do so on Sunday as well ... decisions decisions  almost more than I can handle... my youngest always wants to know what did you talk about???? well I don't know this that and the other thing I guess she is never happy with whatever I tell her... we don't talk all the time sorta do our thing
I think weather wise it's been cloudy and gloomy for two days... understand we got a skiff of snow on the Teton's so not ready for that ... my nephew has been the one who has cleaned snow off the driveway and sidewalk deck but he is getting busy enough (read old enough and it's what he does for a living) that he doesn't want to do it this year so guess someone has hired a company to do it not sure out of who's pocket it will be paid but I've not been in the talk so guess not me...
read something that I was going to share with you all now I can't remember what it was...
that sounds positive Barbie... actually queens aren't that bad when we got our 5th wheel it was suppose to have a queen but the next model was what came and it had a king took out something that I wanted and put in a king I was disgruntled ....
I don't know where this is located Anita but I told dd about it I was reading about 15 best places to see fall colors at not New England... and this was one of them located in Washington state on St route 11 Chuckenot Dr near or in Larrabee state park
that sounds like a lot of cherries Judy not sure I've had cherry jam or if I had it's been a long time used to get pie cherries (sour) in a can to make cherry pie with ...not the cherry filling but I think more people buy the filling as I can't remember the last time I saw it... actually preferred the sour cherries as I think the filling is a bit sweet
nephew has gone sil is back in their room and I will be by myself I might read tonight...
haven't done so since I got here... having with drawls
poor Henry Karen it sounds like you are over working the poor boy

Sheila, I had to double check about that park. It's near Bellingham, between Seattle and Canada.

Barbie, Leavenworth was 1171 feet and Cashmere is 791. Now I know that doesn't sound like snow country, but we are in a valley with mountains all around. Fingers crossed for a buyer!
