Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday, Sept. 8

Morning. Cloudy here this morning, temp 54°. Supposed to stsrt clearing out and be around 67 today. Looking at temps in 60’s, low 70’s for the next week. Great outside working weather.

Did get house cleaned yesterday, although dusting part was more just the high spots. Spent some time in kitchen, washing my cupboards, wanted to be done with cleaning. I like to do the cupboards, outside, about once a month. Keeps them clean and shiny. Then the weeks in between, just keep after the countertops, stove range hood and floor.

So today is off to Meijer for some groceries and may e put the figures back out in the flowerbed with the new outfits. Am making great progress on the next ones. Going to be very colorful.

Judy, that’s really good news on your test results. Peace f mind for sure. Martha, that storm must have been a doozy if you sat it out in a safe spot.

Watching the hurricane progressing across the Atlantic. Turning into a monster. Supposed to turn north. Hope it does. Would be really bad news for FL, GA etc.

Off to the shower and head to town. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning (still morning here) Sue and all who follow. It's a beautiful 80° morning and we are finally below 60° nighttime low, most nights. Skies clear blue, a beautiful day ahead. Will walk and get on with my day, hoping all of you make it a good day!

Got my MRI done yesterday. Need to make an appointment now for the pain management dr for the shot.

I also have a dentist appt for tomorrow morning to check my tooth that I have been having pain with lately.

Here is some info on the relatiionship between ADHD and sugar/carb cravings...
Research shows that low levels of dopamine, the chemical in the brain thought to be responsible for ADHD symptoms, is also related to cravings for sugar and other carbohydrates. Why? Sugar and other high carb foods boost dopamine levels in the brain, leading us to crave them more often when dopamine levels are low.

My biggest issue with that consultation was the fact that she did not seem to be educated in the history of ADHD knowledge and diagnosis, and that she wasn't listening to me. She kept interrupting me and dismissing things I was trying to say. I finally gave up and just stopped trying to tell her anything. And also that she didn't think I needed to get diagnosed and treated at my age, like because I am older, my symptoms and struggles don't matter at this point.

My agent wants to come by tomorrow afternoon and take more photos and video of my place, so I need to finish cleaning up around here and putting things away for that. He said he had one person who was very interested in my place until they found out they couldn't be here year round.

I better get up and moving here... Have a good day.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon all. Not too much going on here other than some outside chores. Picked tomatoes and squash and some green beans. Had to go to Lowe's and pick up a container of stain. Then moseyed to the store as I needed some milk. Came home fixed some lunch and then decided to wash all the ash from the fires off my car. Was a smelly smoky day yesterday and I suspect in a bit it will be like that again. Stopped at a garage sale on the way home, bought two new "chair covers" the guy called tham so I thought they would be perfect to cover my patio chairs with to protect them from the condensation. Well, they turned out to be one piece chair cushions. They were still in the box as he said they didnt like them so gave away the other two. They are pretty thin for one piece cushions but heck I put them on top of my other cushions and now they are comfy ha ha hey for $7.50 for two of them I wont complain. Still need to find some covers but I have time.

Fixing fish for dinner tonight and one of my acorn squash. I love them but always hated trying to cut them until I discovered the microwave trick a few years ago Might have some sliced tomatoes too. I really need to finish my paperwork in my office but the mornings right now are so nice I hate to be inside. Then after lunch it warms up and I lose my motivation. Oh well fall and winter will be here soon. Think it is Mocha and some tv time or reading we shall see.

Last night I was watching TV, and it suddenly went blank and then tried to restart itself. It reached a screen where I needed to click select, but nothing happened other than it tried to restart itself again. I turned off the power and then turned it on again, but nothing but a grey screen. Went to the bedroom and tried my TV back there--still a grey screen. I could hear the satellite chugging away on my roof, so I figured it was fine, so I went into the mode of "I wonder where I can get a new Wally receiver in the morning?" Took my shower and got ready for bed, and then decided to turn both TVs off with the remote. Nothing. Would not even turn off. Then I had a brilliant idea----maybe it was the batteries in the remote. Changed them, and VOILA, both TVs started working. Duh. Well, at least I saved the cost of a new receiver!!

Another doctor's appointment today--my annual physical exam. Already had blood test and other results, so not a lot to discuss. I did tell doctor I had been coughing from April to July, and she suggested maybe I needed to change my allergy meds since you can get used to one type if you take it a long time.

Also, I got my RSV vaccination today. Not even a sore arm yet. It has been frustrating with all the TV commercials telling older people to race in and get the shot, but no one has had the shot. I did some calling around a few days ago and found out that CVS has it, but Walgreens and Walmart does not. Just in case anyone wants to know.

I needed a sweatshirt to walk Ty before work and kept in on part of the morning. Changed into a sundress when I got home. I like this. I also like that it was busy today. We might have had d many or even more check-ins for today than last Friday. There was a special KOA promotion and it obviously works. So another busy weekend. I'll have one of the high schoolers part of the day tomorrow in the office. But I'm guessing she'll also be doing activities. Who knows lol. Not me, that's for sure.

Judy, I had to replace a remote and the new one sometimes needs a shake. The batteries seem to not stay close enough to the connection. But since I figured that out it's an easy shake lol

Barbie from the first time you mentioned people not being able to stay anymore full-time I worried about selling. Fingers crossed the right buyer comes along soon that doesn't mind that.

row one of the scarf is done!!! I am checking the rows off so hopefully it will work out the way it's suppose to... and did a few inches of the Swedish Weave tying knots for the fringe...
made a zucchini/yellow squash fried thing... grated the squash added onion eggs flour seasonings and fried ... tasted pretty good... made a bit too much as normal ...
dd#4 sent me a picture of something she wants me crochet so had to watch a video of how to do it... it actually looks easy... but we will see after I finish the two projects that I want to finish sooner than later...
Last night I had finally convinced myself to turn off the light a bit later than I wanted went to the bathroom turned off the lights and getting comfy when I heard a scratching noise what they are back??? fully thinking mice!!!! rolled over and there was mom part of the way in my room said what are you doing I mean here it is 3:45 I was wondering what that is... explained that it is Velcro to hold the cord in place when needed .... she couldn't bring her walker in cause of the concentrator being in the doorway sorta... she does this often comes up to my door to "see what I'm doing" sometimes she goes pass the bathroom peers in my room then goes to the bathroom then back and peers in the room totally doesn't make sense then days will go by when she doesn't
planning on leaving on my trip on Tuesday hopefully a friend is taking mom to brother's on Monday so now I need to decide what way and were I am going
you all have a great day
