Friday the 12th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday the 12th

Morning. Cloudy and 50°. 83 is forecast for today. We need rain, everything is dry and fire danger is high. Was thinking of mowing grass today, but might wait till after the weekend when we are supposed to cool down to more normal 60-70 degree weather. Less stress on the grass. Think I will go out this morning and blow the leaves out of the rest of the backyard and also from around my shed. Then start assembling the boy and girl outfits and support stake brackets for the figures, so I can put them out this weekend. Need to varnish the flowers that are going out there till we can plant live ones. Need to do a little weed whipping out there too.

Martha, there is a spray called Mold Armour that you attach to your hose and spray on your house. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse off. It takes dirt, mold and junk off the siding. I use it on mine. Depending on how big your house is, you will need more than one bottle. With the hose, you can shoot it up to 20 feet from the ground. Put safety glasess on when you use it as you don’t want to get any in your eyes. Lowes carries it as do other places. It’s amazing how much dirt and stuff cones off.

More info coming on neighbor. He is in critical condition in ICU in Traverse City. They did not take him to Grand Rapids. One of the neighbors coming back into the sub found him. He was unconscious, but no blood anywhere. She called 911 and then her husband to come down there. Turns out his wife was home, but must have been sleeping or something because she was unaware of what happened. They saw her walk past a window and went and got her, stayed there until the family was called to the scene. Ironically, these same neighbors were the ones who bought this couples house a year ago, when they sold it and moved down here to this end of the road. I had gone by there walking my dogs, maybe about an hour or so before the accident happened and I did not see anybody outside at that time. There is an awning on the drivers side of the MH and I have seen it laying up on the roof a couple times. I think he was making repairs to the roller mechanism when he fell from the ladder he was on. It was an extension ladder, but I and neighbors who had seen it there, all thought it looked awful dangerous the way it was propped up there. So we await further news. Kind of a relay set up among the neighbors. One finds out something and sends it to somebody else and on it goes.

Molly had good report from her vet yesterdsy at followup appt. Her liver enzymes that were a bit low are back over the normal line and the Rimadyl seems to be helping the arthritis, so now I can cut her down from one and a half tabs, one in a.m. and half in p.m. to one half every 12 hours :)

So that’s the latest news from here. Have a great day all.

Good morning all, Sue I wish I could send you some of our rain. We definitely have enough for now. I'm glad Molly had a good report at the vet. I went to the doctor yesterday for a 3 month appointment and showed him the weird itchy rash I have been complaining about. He 'thought' it might be something like poison ivy but actually had no idea . I was telling the ladies who come to clean about it and one showed me some that were similar, and the other one said her boyfriend them. The doctor offered to give me a steroid cream but Bragg Apple Cider vinegar seems to be helping.
I'm really loving my new computer!! When I Skype with someone now looks like the person is actually sitting right in front of me which is great for doing hypnosis. If anyone would like a session I'd be happy to work with you. I don't charge as I enjoy it.
Friday afternoons are always fun as I meet friends at a local bar to discuss solving the world situation and life in general. I don't think we will be sitting on the patio though today. it looks like another storm is moving in.

BJ, can you hypnotize me and make me clean my house?

I'm not moving too fast this morning but at least I'm dressed. Sugar didn't want to take her pills this morning. I usually wrap them in dog food. I wrapped them in tuna cat food and she took them. She is greedy enough to eat something if she thinks the cats might get it.

I would like to burn some trash but it's still windy. I forgot to mow a path to the barn yesterday so will probably do that. So far I haven't thought of a reason to go to town.

I am in Heron SP in northern NM for three days, but it is not a place I would recommend or come back to. 1) No views except of 10-15' cedar trees. Cannot see lake or the low mountains in the distance. 2) Roads and campsites are not paved, which means the few cars or RVs that come through here cause big clouds of dust. And yesterday was windy, so I could not open my windows. 3) Not much of a place to walk. If the lake were more full, I suppose the shore would be closer, and there would be a beach, but right now, there is just a slope to the lake. And frankly, I think I got spoiled by the views at Abiquiu Lake and the paved roads and campsites.

I know I should not complain, but I am much happier when I don't have to worry about cleaning dust off everything inside my home on wheels.

Anyway, I have lazy, but I did order a new camera. I had two almost identical Sony cameras, but I left one somewhere in Atlanta when I went there last September, and a few days ago, i dropped my other one on cement and cracked the glass on the viewing screen. It has a viewfinder, but I cannot just point and shoots with a quick glance on the outside screen. i really like this camera because it is compact and fits in my pocket easily. It also takes great photos and has a 30x optical zoom, so it takes great distance photos. The viewfinder is very hard to find on a camera these days, and since I take so many outdoor photos, I really need it.

Has anyone priced cameras lately??? Most of the ones with long telephotos and viewfinders were well over $1,000, but after a lot of research, I found a slightly newer version of my camera for only about $500, which is still way out of my budget, but the budget is shot anyway, so I ordered it. I also added on a three-year $79 extra warranty that will cover breakage and loss. Duh! Seems like a bargain considering my past experience, I think.

thanks Karen for letting us know...
as much as I rumble on and on about pretty much nothing I ought to take a break but it would still be the same ole same ole
did get to the store... hopefully tomorrow I will convince myself to do what I plan on today  last time I bought meatballs wasn't overly happy with them... so got the meats to make them so going to make meatballs and that lemon tiramisus tomorrow... 50 50 chance it will happen ...I don't want to wait until Sunday it will make it a busy day and not a relaxing mother's day plus that tiramisus needs to soften... today I went looking for the ladyfingers in the bakery found some got two boxes couldn't remember the amount needed so got 2 boxes then I continued shopping finally remembered the pudding that I needed went to get it decided that I needed to check recipe to see what size then read about the amount of ladyfingers needed more but as I read it thought these are smaller and softer so went to the cookie aisle and a carton of 48 which is what I needed so got it and went to put the others back good move they were 2 something the others 3 something per box... glad I checked the recipe.... it really sounds like a good dessert
didn't do much of anything else out of the normal didn't even Swedish weave... took me longer to do 2 stores and the post office.. than I allowed
you all have a great day
