Beautiful snowy morning Sue, guess Mother Nature isn’t finished with us yet. 51° and cloudy on the island. At least the wind has shifted direction. Will leave plants huddled together and covered. Now future forecast says the 8th to be the start of 70°. Shelia, good old Amazon sells wall of water and it’s pricy. Thanks for the thought, will just use old sheet.lol. Again no plans just hanging and putzing. Tall lady and fur friend just walked by. They take turns waiting for each other. Such good friends. Be safe

Good morning, been up for a while. I figured I would be awake early as I fell asleep yesterday in my recliner....that is never good. I can always managed to go to sleep but then I wake up in the wee hours. Went to sleep at 10 and awake at 3;30 and there will be NO napping today!!!!

I have a primary appointment today and hopefully I wont have to see her again for a year. I dont mind the yearly checkups but I am sick of doctors. Dont see the pulmonologist again until next February. Cant do much about the Rheumy or Eye doc....but cutting it in half works for me.

Just had breakfast and will hop in the shower soon. Not sure what to fix for dinner yet but hopefully I will have an epiphany about it LOL Thinking salmon patties and roasted brussels sprouts. We shall see.

I usually go to sleep about 1:00 and a lot of nights I wake up about 3:00 and can't go back to sleep for a while. It happened last night and didn't go back to sleep until after 5:00. Sugar was nice and let me sleep until 8:00.

I was working on the pump sprayer when I went to feed the cats. It was clogged up and not spraying very much. I should have gone to the pond and sprayed because I probably won't have time this afternoon. I have an appointment to get my hair cut at 1:30 and I have a Meetup meal tonight.

Our weather has been nice, it gets down to the 50's at night and up to the 80's during the day. Most days I don't need air conditioner or heat. There is a 50% chance of rain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Probably not a good time to go to the lake. I'll see what they say tomorrow.

Good morning gals!

Not a lot going on here. Yesterday, Gloria next door, needed a ride to the tire place after her little car was towed there to get that blown tire replaced. I drove her over there and then she took me to lunch while we waited for it to get done. I stopped at the library on the way home and just did some reading after that.

It was extremely windy yesterday and the sky was brown with dust. Couldn't even see the mountains. My eyes are a little sore yet today from getting sand blasted. It is a little less windy this morning so that is good and a bit cooler too.

When I have trouble sleeping, I take a product called "Restful Legs" that is for restless leg syndrome. I started taking it years ago when I had RLS and it worked really well. I discovered that it also works really well to help me get to sleep. I just take a half of a quick dissolving tablet and I sleep very well all thru the night. Doesn't make me "sleepy" per se, but just relaxes me enough to quiet my mind and body for a good nights sleep. I think it is just a natural mild muscle relaxer. I get it at WM.

My appointment with the orthopedic specialist is next Monday and I need to get a copy of the MRI to bring with me so I will call today to see about getting that this week. I am also working on finding a Dr to get tested for ADHD. I just put in a call for one this morning so am waiting to hear back. The more I read about that, the more I am sure I have it and I also think my dad had it and maybe my brother in MN. It is inherited. My nephew was diagnosed when he was in grade school. He was a holy terror! I think I have the more "inattentive" type.

Have a good day!

A very good morning to all. - I am glad to report that Bill has had six days in a row where he was up and about more than he was in bed. Still gets tired then takes short nap and seems to feel good longer. He also has regained some sight in his eye. Enough that with a magnifying glass he can get to Amazon and order things. So I guess FedEx and UPS don't have to worry about going broke! AND the insurance company is going to pay for all the underneath damage to the RV. From when the big bucket fell off the pickup in front of us and rolled and got stuck under the RV in Mexico. All in all a few really good days. And the weather is back to normal in mid to low 80's. And rain expected on Thursday. Bill had a doc's appt all the way across town for Thursday. Called and changed it to the next week. I don't want to drive in the rain if I don't have to.
Last Saturday I got in a 3 mile walk in the park. But since then haven't been out much. Way too hot. Up to 97 and 98 over the last few days. I am telling myself I WILL go out to walk tomorrow for sure.
All the plants in our back and side yards are blooming and looking so nice. And the potted geraniums are doing good.
Shirl I look forward to your comments daily. Barbie hope you find something you are comfortable with soon. Sheila, you cook some good sounding things. I did make paella Sunday - but usually just plain stuff. Need to get the cook book out and change our routine of eating.
Take care, drive safe and keep eyes on the weather. Weird year.

Good news Bill sounds like he is on the mend. Had a good visit with my PCP. Renewed one prescription, got 2 vaccines TDAP and Pneumonia booster. Still have to get the Shingrix vaccine but have to get that at the Pharmacy. She wants one more set of labs in 6months and a follow up visit. I agreed even tho I dont think it is necessary but ok. She said I could have another Bone Density test and a lipid panel. Nope. My last scan was perfectly normal and no sense doing a lipid panel as I am not taking statins.....unless I have a heart attack first then we will reevaluate. And not taking the bone drugs unless something drastic happened. She just laughed at me. I really like her very much.

Went to Costco and I should have stayed home LOL but picked up some good frozen entrees and a rotisserie chicken. It was super good and had just come out of the rotisserie oven. Now I have to go to Walmart tomorrow and pick up my prescription she called in today and the one for my eyes that they were out of. I really hate how busy Walmart is but oh well. Need to remember to take my bags iin with me as this Walmart has gone bagless now. The news said they were all going bagless. Not a big deal as I usually took my own anyway and they were always out of bags anyway LOL

Hope Anita is enjoying her road trip. I am finally figuring out my car. At least some of it the, important ones.

Carol glad to hear that Bill is having good days it helps the spirits...
Shirl the Wall of Water can be expensive but in packs of 3 and up here it makes it worth it... as we do have a very short season and lots of plants won't make it...
vacuuming was on the mental list and it got done... I was going to do the chicken but the recipe I found for the rub said to let it marinate for an hour up to 12 I hadn't allowed that time so prepared the chicken it's sitting in the frig here's hoping that I can figure out the way of putting it in the A/F guess if I can't I can always put it on the rack but so want to have it do the rotisserie. If I do I will do it before dd does  she still hasn't used her rotisserie... so supper was a toss up burger's without buns or tortellini tortellini won easier and we've had a week of hamburger in either soup or hamburger soup... so it didn't sound good... I do need to put the meat in the freezer though... won't be here Thursday night so ought to think of something for my niece to fix am going to suggest that the family eat over here as mom eats better if someone is eating with her.. might think of someway of fixing the hamburger  I usually don't wear my oxygen when I vacuum I sure know it when I finish
well you all have a great day

We had a cold front move thru a little while ago and boy did it cool things down!! Only 62* right now with a low in the low 50's tonight and tomorrow's high only 72*. It is still pretty windy out so I have one window open in my bedroom (the side away from the dust blowing). Feels good and cool! Will probably have to close it during the night, tho.

Did 2 haircuts today and will do one tomorrow. I did two on Sunday. That money will help keep me going for a week or so for food.

Romeow is such a smart kitty! Last night he got sick for some reason and he went right to his litter box and got sick in there! I praised him for going in there! He seems fine today. Maybe he just ate too fast. :?

Good night...

Barbara, is the leg product by Hylands? I was curious, so looked ot up.
PS my restless legs went away on low carb.
Also my ADHD is much better on low carb as the brain does better on ketones vs sugar/carbs!

Yes, Hylands. I am sure my high carb and sugar diet is not doing me a lot of good for the ADHD and other things. Addictions are hard to quit tho. I am reading another ADHD book that says low estrogen levels also make ADHD worse by lowering dopamine levels.
