Morning All, it’s sunny and 74°. Karen, take a walk up and down aisles in Lowes, bright lights and people helps the weather blahs. Maybe not your pocketbook. Had an eye appointment yesterday, eyes dilated so chauffeured around by #2 daughter. Was a fun day, lunch out. BJ pickup, rode through the car wash and I people watched while she ran in and out of stores. Shelia, Sam’s coconut cakes are wonderful, I will miss them. Have a safe trip back to Moms. No other news or exciting plans. Be safe

Shirl, I always enjoy reading your morning posts.

LOL about Lowes. Whenever I have the blues - this works especially well at Christmas time, when all the decorations are out - I, too, like to take a stroll through Lowes, just looking at the colored lights and happy shoppers.

Even at most other times of the year, an impromptu trip to Lowes is a good "pick me up". I have always been a bit of a "tool junkie" anyway, and the number and variety of tools there warms my heart, even if I am "just looking" at them.

You are also very fortunate to have family near to you, that don't mind spending time in your company. And giving you a bit of help from time to time.

Thanks, Shirl.

Good morning to all - well things are getting done or not. I got the REAL plants I bought planted in their containers. Still have to get some small shade loving ones for the planters on the wall. Might go to nursery this morning. The window boxes in the front will stay empty.
The AC repair man will be here tomorrow afternoon. I think it is the same problem we had last year. The freon/gas is leaking out. This time I want the leak repaired. Can't afford this every year. The warranty pays for service call and repair but not to replace the freon. So we will see. But yesterday it was in mid 80's and today in mid 70s. Feels nice to be cool.
Yesterday was doc appt with heart doctor. He had us make appointments for testing the end of June and visit July 5th. Then he will make decisions on what Bill might need or not need done. Of course Bill's fatigue from the covid came up. So doc pops open mouth and says "yes, that can last up to 3 to 6 months." Bill almost fell off chair. Now he is really upset. He is making an effort to get up and move around more every day. But last night he mentioned he'd been thinking of going from living room to kitchen about 15 feet to get a Klondike Bar to eat, but just didn't have the energy to do it. All he had to do was ask me, but that is hard for him to do. He did get up and got it. I asked him if the ice cream was worth the effort - he said "almost." It is going to be a long few months. Today he goes to retina doctor. Hope there will be some encouraging news there. Between he fatigue and the eyes - he is pretty down.
He did some cooking the other day - made a big batch of chicken Milanese. Yum.

He also advised me on planting the flowers. And on my driving.
I just saw on TV that southern Florida is having severe flooding. What a crazy weather year. Sheila sounds like a fun time getting pampered. I need to do something with my hair. I'm letting it grow out some and it just looks horrid. Oh well.

Good Morning all, I have my new computer and printer up and running although I hate to see the bill. The computer lady that installed it did a great job. Everything from my old computer transferred over but the new router didn't want to work so she called the Frontier to see if they could advise. After a thirty minute wait to get a person half way through the 'fix' she was disconnected and of course they didn't call back. So she hooked the old router up and she'll come back on Tuesday. I have 512GB of storage on my computer and she said it was a good thing as it took over two hours to transfer. She left and came back. I have over 23,000 gmail messages, it is a bit like having a diary. But I think I read somewhere that your gmail account is turned off at 25,000 messages, does anyone have any idea if true? The weather is beautiful but supposed to rain on Saturday when we are having a service at the cemetery where my brother wanted to be buried until his wife had him change his will when he was too ill to know. We had his name engraved on the existing stone where our mother and our grandparents.
Carol I hope Bill improves faster that the doctor thinks. I did have a giggle at your comment that said. "He also advised me on planting the flowers. And on my driving." :)

BJ, I wish I had someone like your computer person here. I had good luck with the Apple store in Lafayette but they are not cheap either. Would like to know someone that would come to my house when I'm having problems here. I have wires running all over that my son put and I don't know which ones still work or if I need them. I have about 15,000 emails in my account. There were a lot more than that before I started deleting some. There are some from family that I want to keep but I delete the whole month that is a year old. If I haven't looked at them in a year I don't need them.

When I went out to feed the cats this morning I decided to check the water in the golf cart batteries and charge it. When I plugged in the charger it wouldn't work. I hauled that heavy sucker to the golf cart place in town and it wasn't the charger. Brought it home and messed with it until I finally got it to charge. It's not making a good connection to the cart. I wish there were teenagers around that would wash the golf cart but guess it will be me if it gets washed. I would like to have a new golf cart but they cost as much as a used car. I had put khaki pants on this morning and now they have black streaks from messing with the golf cart. My shoulder will be complaining tonight because I was picking up that charger. I need a wagon for it.

I wanted to go to Lowe's to get some of the brick things I have around the rose bed but that wasn't on my mind when I was in town.

Well not sure what happened but I lost my whole post...poof. So will hit the highlights LOL Not raining today but cloudy out, fairly warm at 60. Tomorrow is supposed to be 63 and some sun breaks thru the clouds. I need to get out in my yard tomorrow but I wont over do it like I tend to do sometimes. I have an errand to run in the morning so by the time I am done with that should be fairly warm outside to get busy. We have a frost warning for tomorrow so I tabled my plans to go to Home Depot and check out their plants. They have mulch on sale 5/$10 but I think I have enough bags still. I will need some more planting soil so will watch for those specials. I like Kellogg, my plants seem to do pretty well with that.

Just puttered around the house this morning. Changed my bed linens and dusted. Henry vacuums tomorrow. Swept and swiffered the floors so that is done. I had Henry do the kitchen and breakfast area first so I could swiffer. Garbage tomorrow so got that all out. I am hungry already for dinner so think I will fix my dinner a bit early so I dont eat anything bad. Not that I have anything like that in my house right now ha ha I figure if I dont have it I cant eat it. So far so good. Going to have seared scallops and asparagus for dinner. I only had a small salad for lunch so no wonder I am hungry.

Good evening gals!

Been super windy for the past day or so! It was supposed to calm down around 11am today but that didn't happen. Still sounds like a hurricane out there! Lots of dust in the air. So I have been staying inside. Cooler out today and tomorrow but warming to the 90's on the weekend.

Romeow's buddy got in a cat fight overnight and I found clumps of long black fur and blood on my patio today. I never heard the fight but it looks like he got the worst of it.

I have gotten a couple emails from the cannabis company with forms to sign, etc, and am just waiting for a start date from them. Wish I was more excited about it. I have been down in the dumps now for a week or more. Not sure why tho. I mentioned that to my next door neighbor and she said she has been feeling the same way. Hopefully, once I get working, I will feel better. I tend to get feeling that way when money is tight. This wind isn't helping any either. Makes me very stressed!

I am gonna have to really change my sleeping habits in a hurry! I have been staying up until around 2am and getting up around 9 to 10am. Being that I will have to be at work by 6am  , that won't work! Will need to be sure to be asleep by 10pm so I can be up by 5am. It is a half hour drive there. Will get off at 2:30pm.

Got the new microwave set up and works well. So not gonna starve to death now. Warmed up my Easter leftovers in it yesterday.

Carol, glad to see Bill is feeling up to doing a little cooking now. I am sure the two months will go fast, altho probably not fast enough for him (or you!). Let us know how the eye dr appointment went.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I set the alarm for 9:30 I think snoozed it several times got up and what to my wondering eyes do I see but snow coming down fast and furious so went back to bed... and continued snoozing the alarm... I finally got up and it had stopped so got ready and left was gone by 11:35 I think went to get on the freeway but sometimes one gets in the wrong lane and take a slight detour  finally found myself back to the road to get to the freeway and all went well... the roads were clear until I was heading east and they were clear except for areas were it was blowing into the lane... wind was horrible in Idaho Falls I stopped to finish my walmark shopping been looking for a clear plastic tablecloth for a really long time and found it now if it's wide enough heres hoping mom has a few clothes hangers that are non slipping really liked it then noticed my #1 dd had some so asked where she found them at said either Costco or Target but as I was going down an aisle I saw some black but oh well they will keep the clothes from slipping off or having to be clothes pinned to the hanger ect... then I found the other items that I went in for except for a stupid plastic planter... need to repot one of mom's plants and I really don't want to spend a lot on the planter... but haven't been able to find any of the typical cheap ones...
I got back to moms after a stop by the store got some milk in case the milk was spoiled should have got bread milk was ok bread wasn't...
noticed that my feet are swollen hopefully laying down will help
I must be losing it I could swear it was Arby's that I saw a sign on with chicken salad sandwich on Hawaiian sweet rolls sounded good and I really like the chicken salad sandwich anyway but when I stopped in Idaho Falls at Arby's they didn't have it .... Now I'm trying to remember what fast food had chicken salad and I can't remember...
hoping Bill recovers faster than the dr mentioned but he did feel well enough to fix a meal that is a positive...
perhaps your not being excited for working Barbie is you had planned and actually started retirement and this feels like a step backwards...
I can get lost in those big stores so much to look at especially in the nursery area... probably could have found the pot there...
tomorrow I need to take stuff out of the car I brought in what was necessary milk meat concentrater computer ect tomorrow the rest of the stuff need to check with brother and see if I'm picking mom up or if he is bringing her home... I told him I would come get her but not till Monday as I wanted to go to church here if I do go to pick her up I think I will (if the pass is not snow covered still) go see my dd's house and meet the other dd's new pup who is several months old now... to bad I won't have the grandson's afghan finished but it won't be down to 10 row's left...
you all have a great day taking this weary body to bed or at least to lay down

Really been feeling lousy last few days, mostly because I have had one of those coughs where you want to cough something up but it is just thick mucus. I've been taking Nyquil, last couple of nights, which I almost never do, but did not get much sleep the night I stayed in the parking lot while they were fixing my wheel. Tried to sleep in this morning, but got a phone call and was do groggy, I told them I would call them back. Did some walking around the campground today, but mostly have been been straightening things up and getting cards, checks, and small gifts to send to two grandkids and their mother. Will take it all to post office, via shuttle tomorrow, and get it mailed, then going to try to fix my rear hubcaps, which are driving me crazy because the inner part of coming apart and they are both rattling. Got some screws to fix them, so might tackle that tomorrow. Anyway, feel better tonight and am going to try to get more sleep tonight.

I have not done any sightseeing here in Zion, but I have 12 more nights here, and it is such a nice place to stay--cheap also. Been here before, so am just trying to take it easy and get rid of this cough.

Judy, I hope you feel better soon, so you can explore Zion and enjoy yourself.

It is still terribly windy out! :o A couple cats are hanging out on my deck where they are sheltered from the winds. One is Romeow's buddy. I got a notification on my phone awhile ago about an evacuation order south of me for a brushfire. I can only imagine how bad that must be with these winds! It is about 40 miles south of me with the winds blowing south, so no worries here.

I hope I can get some sleep tonight with all that wind howling out there! Can't have any windows open tonight due to the dust blowing all over.

Sheila, glad you had a safe drive back home.
