Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday March 31

Morning All, 47° and cloudy. No frost tomorrow a severe thunderstorm instead. I can not keep up. I have to keep checking weather like some old person. Geeezzz Shelia, I misspoke, it’s a Lemon Button Fern , the leaf is round , cute little plant. I went fern crazy, even bought a creepy looking rabbit foot fern. Forgot to ask about strawberries plants but dare not go back to the nursery. The sunny double window in the living room is plant free. I ask my son to build a bench to put under the window. He was here at 10 am with bench and ask if he was off the hook for Mother’s Day. LolNeed to research plants to see who likes bright light. Be safe

Friday the last of March

In other words tomorrow is rabbits day! Good chance I'll miss saying it as I'll be sleeping, hopefully, before midnight.

I'm at work and it's been fairly quiet. But starting up the computer/register it kept saying it wasn't connected to the credit card machine. The director tried. We had our first visitors and not only did they want to pay the entrance fee via cc, but they were purchasing over $150 of items from the gift store. It wasn't lying, it didn't work. We held most of the merchandise while they went on a walk through a couple areas and the director had to make a phone call. An hour plus later success! And it wasn't long after that the couple came back in. All's well that ends well. Meantime I'm freezing. I wore my winter parka over what I thought would be enough for in here, but I'm chilly. So I may be putting it on. Its another windy day.

Beth, I don't know what your wind is but it's 35 to 40 mph here. At least it's not cold, it's 80. I would like to burn some trash but I don't dare start a fire.

Shirl, hope you have better luck with ferns than I do. They sell beautiful hanging baskets of ferns and I bring one home and it dies. Plants need to be very hardy to survive around here. I read one time that you could plant a rose upside down and it would survive. That's probably why I have a rose bed. I could put strawberry plants in one of my tubs if I knew where to buy some. The nursery in Lafayette probably has some. I'm glad the weather channel doesn't charge by the hour because I have it on almost all day. I can't stand the talk shows.

Sitting here killing time before I head to town and fish fry. Been a bit busy most of day. Finally finished installing the new mouldings in the bathroom that had the new flooring installed. Few trips to garage to make some adjustments on the cuts. Ran out of nails the other day, so got stopped. Picked some up yesterday after I dropped dogs off at groomers, while I was out running errands. Made a run to grocery store and picked up a couple pictures I dropped off at the Community Foundation so they could copy them. So that shot the morning. Then puttered around killing some time waiting for the guys who were coming to stall the new exterior lights and get a call to go pick up the dogs. Guys got here right on time. New lights look really nice. He took the old ones with him because I was going to throw them out, but he said he could use them because they’re going to open up a new landscaping business and he can use them on the building. He was going to take them and refurbish them again. Glad they can be put to good use. They are about 30 years old. Sheila, to answer your question, no trades school right around here. So yesterday was kind of a busy and kind of boring day all in one.

BJ, my bank notifies me immediately via email if a purchase is made without my charge card present. They want to be sure somebody isn’t attempting fraud. If it’s a big amount, the will stop payment till I verify it was me. They did catch a couple fraud attempts from 2 3rd party suppliers used by Amazon to ship an order.

Heading to town shortly for stop at credit union and then off to fish fry. Looks like it’s getting foggy. We’ve had rain on and onff and the temp is around 41°. So with the damp melting snow pack, it’s making fog. Had just a bit of wet snow early this morning, but that’s gone.

So time to change pants and hit the road.

My credit cards both notify me by text if there is a purchase they question. That way, I can respond immediately so they do not have to shut down my accounts. Your credit cards might do that as well if you approve it.

It is windy enough today that I considered closing my slides so my slide toppers would not get damaged, but hopefully the wind will slow down soon. Supposed to be calmer tomorrow when I go to Santa Fe. Not much else going on with me. When I was at the museums the other day, I picked up a small model of a DC3 plane that was made in Africa out of a beer can. The printing is on the inside, but the model is very well done, so I will send it along with a check to my some-day-to-be pilot grandson for his birthday later this month. Several birthdays in April and May, so I will need to shop for two granddaughters and one DIL. I did pick up some interesting candles for the DIL, but thinking maybe I will get her some Georgia O'Keefe note cards from Santa Fe museum tomorrow.

I accomplished a lot yesterday so didn't do much today.. to the store and made the bars that I planned on making for the luncheon... hopefully they turned out good...
almost look over done but we will hope not too much I haven't made them in awhile
normally mom sleeps a lot during the evening but not tonight just cause I wanted to see if her checkbook is in her walker she has looked in it so didn't want her to wonder why I was double checking.. and it's not any any of the normal areas can't figure out where it would be...
I will have to remember in an hour that it is RABBITS hard to believe that another month has gone by and if you can believe the weather on phone it's going out like a lion... weather warning until 6 AM
I need to get up earlier than normal General Conference is on at 10;00 and I need to cut those bars before it starts... I'd do it tonight but I don't want them to dry out...
dd#4 is on her way to Utah hopefully they will have good weather and a save trip... can't believe that once again a horrible tornado sets down...
thought I had supper figured out a good one that mom would enjoy I had taco soup and she had shrimp and we both had avocado she ate 3 shrimp... so bummed about it I told her I was going to have to put up the candy if she wasn't going to eat supper...
