Morning All, it’s raining and 41°. Edith and I email “good morning “ every day and this is the kind of day one of us says “turn on the lights”. We both have little year round trees to bring a little cheer. I think a lot about how different generations handle unpleasant situations. I just stopped in to start the day. Be safe

Good morning to all. I always read but usually don't post. Today we will be leaving Mazatlan and start heading for home. Baring any problems will probably cross into US on Friday. Much quicker than we usually travel. Except for the last day we'll be doing about 240 miles a day. A long drive on Mexican roadway. Then we'll stay in Arizona for a few days to stock up and rest up.

Good Morning Shirl, , Carol and all. Beautiful sunny Morning here. I’ll be sending it your way Shirl, hopefully. We had snow agsin last night but barely an inch. The front that went north in the morning, came back south as expected and has now moved east. . At least 3 days of sunshine coming and temps in upper 30’s Great dog walking weather. Although don’t know if we will do that today or not as I have an appt. In town this afternoon.

This mornings exciting chore is replacing a toilet seat. Don’t think that will be the discussion of the day on here though

On the brighter side of things, there’s flower gardening in containers. I have been keeping an impatiens and couple of Geraniums gong all winter. Course the growing and scraggly with the darker, shorter days. So last week I cut the Geraniums back to let hm start new growth with the sun and longer days. Also kept a couple of mums downstairs in my basement, in the bedroom down there where it is dark, so that they were dormant all winter. I just brought them upstairs and I will see if any new growth appears. Like Shirl, I’m experimenting. First time I have done that. I have two more planted outside, currently buried under a snow pile. I kept some of the cuttings from the Geraniums to see if I can get more to start. We shall see how it all goes.

So, time to get that toilet seat replaced. Then I will see what else I get into for a while. Load of laundry is about ready to come out of the washer into the dryer so that will get done. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning. I was awake early and couldnt get to sleep last night. Fit bit says I slept
4 hours and 44 minutes. Well guess I will sleep good tonight, altho I feel pretty rested right now LOL Need to do my Income Tax today, hoping the internet doesnt go out again. I was so ready yesterday to do it. Today not so much.
Pulled a stuffed green pepper out of the freezer and going to have a small baked potato with it for dinner. I have already had breakfast and thinking about dinner doesnt usually happen after I eat so I did it before breakfast.
Henry will be on the job this morning with the front half of the house then he has a couple of days off LOL I dont have any reason to vacuum any more often other than to get a chuckle out of watching him navigate. I have him do the kitchen and breakfast area every so often but I dont have him on a schedule for those. I just do it manually.
Sheila I will post the recipe in recipes on here. It is really good an filling. I had never used 2 cheese tortellini before but found it kind of "dumpling like" but with much better texture LOL dumplings arent my thing.....too mushy.
Carol glad you and Bill are on your way. Safe travels await you I hope. Barbie that is really scary. I hate to think what could have happened, just glad it did not. Anita how exciting getting a different apartment. Hopefully this one will be managed much better.
I am anxious to get out and work in the yard but I will have to wait a while as we have had some sort of rain each day. Already rained a bit this morning and it is 35 out so no yard work right now. I do have 2 raised beds to put together to grow something in, we shall see. I bought 2 last year but since I was so sick I didnt even care about them
Well time for another cup of coffe then will get busy and take a shower.

I love my Roomba. I’ve had one for quite a few years now. This is my second as I updated awhile back. It cleans Mon., Wed. and Friday. I live in a townhouse that has 3 levels so I have to bring it down to do the lower two. But that’s a lot easier than me vacuuming. I always put the dining room chairs upside down on the table to give it plenty of room to clean completely under the table.

Just got done with putters golf. I managed pretty well. No knee pain so far so that is good. I did pretty good with playing. It is our last day for the season but some of us talked about coming back each Tuesday to keep playing anyways.

Our power went out around 9am this morning so that put the kabosh on getting on here or making phone calls, since my phone was almost dead and I couldn't charge it. The power just came back on 10 minutes ago. I got a message from my Dr to call there so I am now on hold waiting to see what that is about...OK she just told me I have a complex tear in my meniscus. So now I call the orthopedic specialist to see what my options are.

Need to get stuff done around here in case there is a showing soon. Been lazy lately. Think I will make a tuna chip hotdish later.

Speaking of toilet seats (yes, I had to go there! ), I have a fuzzy seat cover on mine and it is SO nice to sit on to keep my tushy warm especially in the cooler mornings! I had it in the laundry the other day and boy was it a shock to sit on the regular hard, cold seat! So that is my toilet seat story. Your welcome!

I think I will rename Romeow to Henry, or maybe Swiffer! We have a new game where he lays on his back on the floor and I spin him in circles and then slide him across the floor! He loves it and comes right back for more. It really picks up a lot of dust off the floor too!

Carol, I can't believe you are already heading back! Be careful on the roads in Mexico!

Judy the Roomba gets very close to the wall, has brushes on the sides. Navigates either around or thru table legs. If I want a good clean I move the chairs away from the table, otherwise I just let him navigate. The thing I like about this one as opposed to my previous one is he maps the room and goes everywhere he is supposed to in an organized fashion. My other one just went willy nilly like a drunken soldier and I think it missed alot This one I can put barriers up on the app so that I can separate and designate which rooms to vacuum. He does Living room, family room, hallway and laundry on Mon and Friday Does my bedroom and formal dining on Tuesday and Saturday. I give him a couple days off ha ha I also have "keep away zones" mapped out on the app so he is not running into dog dishes, wires or cords etc. I manually send him if I want him to do the breakfast dining, kitchen or guest bedroom. I do not regret this purchase even tho it was a bit more than I wanted to pay. Was my birthday present to myself "A man that cleans" love it.

Barbie I think I know what your options will be LOL I am seeing a surgical procedure coming your way. The word "complex" tipped me off.

it was a beautiful day today blue sky and sun shining
we had a full day today!!!
got up and went to the women's activity was a luncheon had soup and salad and sliders those with ham and cheese and the yummy topping and cookies... the salad was a simple green with apple's in it and some vinaigrette dressing it was so good also had glaced nuts and blue cheese chunks to add if you wanted too... so yummy
then on the way home thought we ought to drive into the refuge and see if we can find any big horn sheep
so we did and we did three of them... would have taken a picture but signs say not to stop by the side of the road... I'd seen the sheep pulled into the pull out but mom couldn't see it so pulled to the side of the road where she could look out her window... she could see them but I didn't feel like I should get out and take a picture...
so then homeward bound except I thought how about a drive voiced the thought mom said if you want so off we went North unfortunately the peaks where covered with clouds so couldn't see them much but went north noticed mom's eyes were closed that never happens when she opened them we were quite away North so told mom as close as we are why don't we go up to the ranch and see if brother is working... he works for a guest ranch... so went up left mom in the car to see if I could find someone who could get him.... they could and did by the time he was coming I had to take her inside for the potty break so had a good visit and small slice of pie if that is the size they normally serve hmm I'd probably not be happy then left and came home
attempted to read scriptures but one chapter in I finally closed it and set the timer... and took a nap...
then had to fix something fast for supper... mom didn't eat well the bacon queen only ate one piece and no toast and a couple of celery with peanut butter...
Carol you and Bill have a safe trip home...
Barbi that doesn't look good at all hopefully there is not damage that you can't see
Karen thanks for talking about Henry a bit more I've wondered how close to the walls ect that he gets... my biggest issue is the programing it and the lack of desire to pay for it but oh it sounds so nice...

Actually, I looked on-line on several sites, and for that type of tear they said they do not recommend surgery, just PT and rest.

"A complex tear means there is a combination of tear patterns. A complex tear often involves both radial and horizontal tears.
Complex tears are not usually treated with surgical repair because of the complicated nature of the tear."

Will see what the specialist says. I would really like to avoid surgery if I can.

My knee has felt pretty good all day. After golf, I took off the brace and have just been walking around my place with no pain or problem. I am careful to not turn or twist it at all tho. Am also careful on stairs.

The wind has picked up again tonight with high winds expected tomorrow again. No plans to go out tomorrow other than maybe a quick trip to WM to pick up some Propel since I am out. Temps will be in the 70's all week with possibly hitting 80 next weekend. The snowbirds will be happy about that! They have been complaining about how cold this winter has been.

Barbie, rest and PT hopefully will help your knee. I avoid surgery unless it is inevitable ha ha Will be good to get the Ortho doc's take on it tho. I dont always trust Dr Google because most of the time they dont have all the facts. But it always gives me an idea of what could happen.

my eldest daughter severed her meniscus and what they suggested that she do was low impact exercises not sure what all that entails but when it first happened she was on crutches... she is a school teacher teaches 2nd grade... so not an easy feat... is now walking 10000 ft most days the days she doesn't she just didn't get the time to do so ... I haven't specifically asked but I don't think she uses the crutches anymore her pain level went down to very low I've been totally impressed with what she has accomplished... she was starting a new challenge to get her doing something to help her inactivity she had just started it when the wrong step happened and now she is doing what appears to be doing great again I haven't seen her just what she chooses to share with me...
you take care I'm sure that the ortho will have good ideas
