Sunday afternoon

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday afternoon

Postby Bethers » Sun Feb 19, 2023 1:51 pm

Yay, the weather is better again! Our activity last night was a waste of time. Martha, myself and another solo lady left before the end. That gives you an idea lol

Today is mainly a down day. We had a pot luck brunch. Yum! Everything today is mainly child related and Martha and I decided we don't need to go. I actually wish we had done the dog parade the other day though. Oh well. It was still cold then. They are doing karaoke here tonight so we'll stop in but my ears can't take it long in there when we're just talking. At the winery on the way here I purchased a sparkling Moscato so Martha and I will share. Hope it's good!

Yes, the weather is much better. I have the door open and Sugar is laying outside. She is making me get my steps in, we have made three laps around the campground. I found out how to get her to come in, open the refrigerator.

I'm with Beth on the noise in the tent. With everyone talking it is really loud. And I don't sing. I don't know how much karaoke I can stand.

I had to put my king cake in the freezer so I would stop eating it.

FYI, there is a great article in the online CNN site about Lake Oroville. It has lots of photos and slides that you can move back and forth to see the differences between 2023 and 2022 and 2021. https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/19/us/lake-oroville-before-and-after-storms-climate/index.html

Going to get off my duff and go for a walk now. Getting too comfortable and lazy with satellite TV and all the comforts in my rig. Guess my recliner also contributes massively to my laziness!!

Afternoon all. Been busy this morning organizing my bathroom cupboards and drawers so I can actually find something in there. Threw out a bunch of stuff that I was saving for God knows when....but bam gone now. Sent Henry in to vacuum the bedroom and that bathroom. Now I consider that done as I already went thru my drawers a couple weeks ago. I have been looking for a gardening fork. WOW they want a fortune for those things. Found one on Walmarts online shopping. Delivered today in a huge, but light box. My fork was in there. It will be perfect and only $42 Took me forever it seemed, to pop all those air filled bags around it. Geez So just had some lunch, having an iced coffee and think I am done for today LOL Weather is really nice out 55, sunny with a few white puffy clouds. Yup I like it. We have less than a month before we go into DST March 12th I love it being lighter later, I just wish we didnt screw around with the time changes all the time. We voted not to change time but of course brings new meaning to "an act of Congress" has to happen.

Shirl I love crunchy sourdough loaves so I would definitely enjoy your bread. Tonight it is fish, broccoli and cauliflower. And my last piece of sugar free chocolate pie.
Beth good you and Martha have each other to entertain yourselves and you seem to be pretty much on the same wave length. I hate noisy crowded places anymore. Yup I am officially OLD.

Karen, good news!! The Senate passed a bill last year to stick with DST in 2023. It just needs to pass in the House and with Biden signing it to make it official which I am thinking will happen. Here is a link about it...

Got a text from my agent this morning saying she showed my place the other day to 3 different parties and they all had good things to say about it. One guy is very interested in it but has to sell his house first. She came over today to do some staging outside and inside. When I got home it looked quite a bit different. I took the lattice down from the deck rails and also the flower box. I am bringing some stuff over to my neighbors shed since mine is full. My agent put some things away in the house so I had to go around looking for some stuff. Now she just stopped by to talk about what all she wants done to make it look even better. Whatever it takes to sell this place! I have to say I am impressed with her ambition!

I got my new glasses today so hopefully I can now see better when I am driving! . I ordered new sunglasses too.

My knee feels a little worse each day. :( One more day at work (5 hours) and then my doctor appointment on Wednesday. From there, probably an MRI and then see a specialist depending on what they find. I am betting it is a torn meniscus tho. :(

Romeow says it has been "too peoply" in here lately! Poor guy!

Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, good news for you on the new agent.

Sounds like things might finally be moving in the right direction for you.

Hope you get an offer soon!

Barbie, I'm glad the new agent is actually doing the job the other should have been. Fingers crossed this means you'll have a sale soon!

I think Shirl maybe part of the issue with the bread is not being in a loaf pan... when in a round like that they don't rise as much I don't think... however it does look good...
and I like rustic loafs
we had snow today suppose to continue off and on for a few days we will see... the snow seems to run out on the west side of the Teton's my dd's area got around 8 inches... but that was in the dry farm area and they seem to get more...
talking with my sister on chat tonight and they are expecting snow around Vegas...
it sounds like fun Beth and Martha... when I made a King cake a couple years ago it did seem like more of cinnamon roll dough and procedure... in lots of ways...
took a long nap so the salmon turned into left over frozen speg sauce and meat balls fresh spaghetti but nothing went back into the fridge... not even the salad from last night... tomorrow going no where so will do the salmon then
it does sound like this realtor is more on the ball has she taken the pictures?
you all have a good night
