Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good evening gals!

Lyn, sorry to hear about your son. I hope things will turn around and start improving for him.

Sandi, use heat to help the bruising go away faster. Also, you may have bruised some ribs. That would cause pain from coughing, etc.

So far, my car is starting right up and running good.

Another long day today. The new girl was working with me today. She is very nice but quiet and she certainly doesn't look like the hairstylist image. She walks and dresses like a truck driver, wears a baseball cap backwards and baggy pants, etc. She has really short hair and looks like a guy. She just has her barbers license so she doesn't know how to cut women's hair. That means I got all the women today. I did have her watch me do one of the cuts but she isn't even familiar with women's styles at all. She had no idea how to do a wedge or a pixie or even how to cut long hair. Those are pretty basic cuts. We get a lot of women in the shop with long hair (most Mexican women have long hair and we get a lot of them in). I have no idea why she was hired, but then the owners are desperate right now due to staffing shortages. So anyways, I didn't get lunch until 3:30 today since it was busy and I had to do most of the haircuts. Luckily, it got really slow after that for the rest of the day. I am tired but I made good tips.

At 5am Romeow decided to do his zoomies! So I was up for an hour with him racing all over the house and knocking stuff over. I will be going to bed early tonight. I have a lot to do tomorrow. I work 9 hour days on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. I think they are trying to kill me! :o  At least I have a day off in between each of those days.

I did say "rabbits" just at midnight. Hope it works!

Need to find some dinner. Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

The casita is shut up. Water and power off. Oh my gosh, I almost couldn't shut my freezer door. I knew I was over doing my cooking, but it's shut and I'm looking forward to all the meals. Shopping for a while should only be fresh fruits and veggies... And right now I have plenty of those, too. And enough raw meats frozen to continue cooking more freezer meals as space opens up.

I was planning to fill propane. Judy, it took me 4 stops to get propane when I left Utah. Frustrating waste of time. First time that ever happened to me. And one was s Love's, another a flying j. Inexcusable. So I was planning to fill in town here but I have plenty and I just sign up for propane at the park in Texas. So it can wait. I love that it's so easy there. They come once a week, check the list and come to all sites on it.

I've been sleeping in. I'd like to get out at a decent time tomorrow, but it'll depend on when I get up. It'll be quick as most everything is done. Just need to unplug and hook up the car, then stop at the office to pay my electric on the way out (and put my site back into the rental pool). So I won't be upset if I sleep in again.

Three more weeks of shortening days then we get to see them lengthening again. Yay.

when I've looked outside it's been snowing and or cloudy so it was a do nothing day.. other than the normal fix meals work on Swedish Weave and crocheted afghan I figured out that if I do my normal 2 rows a day on the crocheted afghan it will be done in 25 days .... guess just in case I make it to Idaho Falls I need to talk with grandson and see what colors he likes... we actually had a warmer day today it was up in the low 30's which was a balmy day given what we have had...
I don't know if any of you remember Donna (Cricket) she lives in CA read on her FB page yesterday that her husband was back home on hospice care... he has battled cancer for 8 years... feel so bad for her
a big part of me wants a dog I know that I can't get one while I am here at mom's but then some one said something about having to talk one of her dogs outside in middle of the night... and winter and .... makes me wonder .... Shadow was well trained (not by me) after I took him out before I went to bed he snuggled down till I got up... till he didn't the last year was not a good year... but I still miss him
they do leave an empty place in our lives...
Tina I kid you not I was just wondering a day or so ago about Jane and if it was good news when I saw what you posted on FB such exciting news... even if it means you are home bound...
not sure how much snow we have gotten but think it was a tidy amount.. and as usual we hope for more up in the mountains..
was talking with my friend today she is the one that taught me how to do Swedish Weave she has degenerative eye disease and one eye is pretty bad she wants to start a weave but can't see well enough to find the center of the cloth wish I was going to Utah would find the center of a couple of pieces for her so she could do the rest... at least hoping that she can do the rest... it's so hard to see things get hard for friends she does a lot of indexing records and that will get harder for her as well..
I wish I was going down to Q at this point I don't see it happening and at the same time I am wallowing in self pity... I'm really grateful for my niece and nephew how they do help by taking care of the snow and bringing in pellets and doing my laundry if we had an upstairs laundry I would do it and probably could go down stairs... but it's a trek down and a pull up I didn't like it before I was put on oxygen.... haven't done it since...
Peggy enjoy your time in MX
and Ava so good to see you miss your posts..
