I guess I could say I have an "old lap dog" only she is young. She will be 6 in January. Her favorite thing is to lie next to me in my recliner or on the couch. She is very low energy. I did not want a dog I had to take hiking. This breed makes good apartment dogs so they say, and I can see why. She can get very excited at times but it sure doesnt last long. She loves her toys but just for spreading around the house LOL
Tina I sure do understand health struggles. I have never felt so bad and had zero energy the last 9 months. I lost quite a bit of weight, no appetite, constant coughing, shortness of breath with any activity. I recently had a turnaround. I was put on a strong antibiotic and given a steroid inhaler ($400 and I have barely used it) and the cough went away, my appetite came back, I have gained 4lbs, and best yet I FEEL GOOD. Now just working on my stamina. It improves every day. I hope and pray they can find a way to improve your back problems. I know there is not a cure for everything but just to make things tolerable works for me.
They are right, old age is not for sissys.
