Hay guys, it’s Tuesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hay guys, it’s Tuesday!

Good morning all, I am still hanging in here! There were several articles in this morning’s paper about long Covid. They all agreed with you Karen.
Barbie, loved the latest picture of Romeow.
You found the perfect cat!
Beth, so sorry you are having more troubles with the house keepers. It is O K for you to rant here. We all understand.
Martha, gas at $3.55….what a bargain!!!
I saw a good recepie for applesauce and oatmeal squares. I have oatmeal and went to the store yesterday and bought applesauce. Now I can’t find the receipe. Sheila, you understand, don’t you!
Used to have a friend that lived in Mariposa. Terrible about the fire there.

Hi Lyn and all!

Lyn, it's always good seeing you post here and you always put a smile on my face. I agree that Beth and anyone else needs to vent, we're here and we're all good listeners. What worries me about the housekeeper that finally quit, is that her termination date isn't until this Sunday, the 31st. So I'm not so sure Beth has seen the last of her yet. It's a sad situation.

Sheila, the picture I mentioned was probably you & Red. I remember you saying you were meeting a friend you hadn't seen in a long time and that's who I thought you were with.

It's warm & sultry here in central FL but I will never complain about it being too warm as I can't put up with cold weather, and I will complain if I see a frost. Steve is waiting on a basket he ordered from Amazon for his Big Green Egg. It will fit in it and the coals will sit in the basket. By using the basket, he can pull it up regularly after the coals have cooled to leave the ashes on the bottom of the Egg so he can clean them out. The Big Green Egg are similar to pellet stoves that they need to be cleaned to be sure all the air holes can breathe, if that makes any sense. The basket should be here day after tomorrow. It'll make life a lot easier for him.

I also agree with being happy I can put one leg in underwear without falling over!! And obviously, I cannot be trusted any more to walk on roadways or sidewalks without crashing down. I am very careful about holding onto something as I go up or down steps, but it seems to be the flat things with minor uneven cracks or slippery surfaces that get me.

I drove over Trail Ridge Road yesterday, and my motorhome did great, except that the tires got hot coming down on the western side. I just stopped and let things cool down for half an hour. Isn't it the nicest thing about living in an RV, especially a motorhome, that you can stop and grab some food and a drink from the refrig and be completely happy snacking and checking email while parked??

I am now in a campground along Granby Lake for another 5 nights. I hate to even mention it, but when I left my last campsite, which was in a commercial campground, yesterday, the camp host suggested that even with a full hookup site, I pull over to dump site as I left, and stick hose with full power stream of water into the bottom of my grey tank exit. The dump site was slanted so water would not make a mess there. I did it, and it does seem a little better today with nothing backing up last night. I did not see anything obvious come out, but will see if there is any result after my shower tonight.

Cute photo of Romeow, and the pose shows he is comfortable in your shared space.

Evening All, still dealing with goofy weather. Nothing new or interesting so staying home and mutter to my self. Humidity is so terrible I missed my trip to the crab deck. I really wanted a :D frozen margarita. Don’t know if I could dash in, get my drink in a snippy cup and sit in the suv with ac. Will think on that..

Judy check Maintenance section. I posted just for you.

Hi to All - We here in Vegas are enjoying the cooler weather, only 98 today and yesterday afternoon it actually got down into the high 80's. Haven't see that for over a month. Some places in the valley got over one inch of rain, we got a few drops.
I got a new phone today and when the clerk set it up he asked me for my gmail password. I never use gmail, so didn't remember it. So he put in a series of numbers for the password and told me to change it when I got home. WELL that changed ALL of my google accounts, including my blog, so have been sitting here coming up with a password google will accept and resigning in to all my accounts. Drives me nuts.
Still haven't heard anything from heart doctor's office to find out what he wants to do because the CAT scan was denied. I called but could only leave a message. hopefully we'll hear something. But at least he has an appointment on Aug 12, if nothing else.
Judy - had to laugh about aging...well sometimes. When we moved into this house five years ago I looked at the grab bars in the bathroom and thought - those need to come off. Good thing we didn't take them off as now I find myself using them once in a while. I can get my right leg into pants, but usually have to lean against something to get the left leg into them.
For some reason today I can't get into Facebook from my taskbar. I can get in from another site and use the search to find my account. No idea what is going on. The window comes up but nothing in it. Not even a place to log in.
Done venting, thanks for all being here.

I'm always glad when I make it through a day without a fall. They can happen so fast. I think some days I don't drink enough and sometimes feel a little dizzy. I put up grab bars in the bathroom to use as towel racks so I can get my underwear on. I have had two people fall getting out of my motorhome so I tell people to hold on until they have both feet on the ground and I do too.

The weather is crazy all over, flooding in Missouri and houses burning in Dallas. I got the hill and most of the yard cut yesterday afternoon. It's a good thing because I got another 1/2 inch of rain today.

Judy, hope you can get your plumbing problem figured out. It's strange that the gray water would be blocked up and not the black.

Lyn, do a search online for your recipe and you can probably find it or one like it. I have a thing called Notes on my Apple computer that I save recipes in. I can copy them from Facebook into Notes. I would really like to make some of my favorite cookies but I'm trying not to eat cookies. I guess if I am going to have an addiction it's good that it's cookies. lol

I really didn't want another house cat but it looks like Charlie has moved in. They all go out for a while during the day but they like the air conditioning when It's hot. The vet thought Charlie was about 8 years old but he acts a lot older to me. About all he does is sleep. I would sure like to catch the tom cat that causes trouble around here. If I hear a fight outside it's usually him causing trouble.

Carol, hope you can get all your accounts straightened out. Passwords drive me crazy. When I was trying to get an appointment with the DMV the first thing I tried to do was log into my account and it wouldn't accept my password so went through the process of setting up a new password. The site wouldn't accept the new password either. Grrrrrr I finally found the area to make an appointment and you have to make up a new password every time you log into that site. Don't make it easy for people.

We had more rain this morning but thankfully nothing like they had in St Louis and Nashville, Illinois. The interstates were closed in places and people were trapped in their cars. The basement at my brothers step daughter's home flooded and this is part of what she posted on FB today. "Our house flooded the entire basement to the top of our stairs. Everything gone down there. We got as much out as we could until the windows broke and I was trapped in the storage room. My nephew who started living with us a couple months ago saved me." I haven't heard how the recuse took place but it was my brothers grandson. He is around 22 and always joking. I can just hear him as he got her out saying things like 'so if I get you out will you do my laundry and fix my breakfast'

Time for Wheel of Fortune. I hope you all have a good evening.

BJ, that sounds like a very scary situation! That is a lot of water! Too bad we can't get all that rain out this way. I remember a long time ago reading about someday being able to "seed the clouds" to make it rain. What ever happened to that idea?

I have grab bars in my shower. I use them for bath items but also for balance. I have slipped and fallen in the shower before so it is nice to have those.

Martha, I don't worry too much about my addiction to chocolate since I have never know anyone to die from eating too much chocolate! Could have worse addictions, right?

Was really busy at work again today! Can't blame it on 'back to school' since it is mostly adults coming in. Made $60 in tips on 10 haircuts in 5 hours!

I got a collar for Romeow and I put it on him today. I expected a bit of a fight and freak-out, but he was fine with it! He is such a good boy! :D Need to get a name tag now. Still waiting to get Lola's ashes. I have a little wooden box that I have my old cat, Mitzy's ashes in, so I will put Lola's in there too.

Need to make some dinner...have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Just posted a photo of my waste tank outlets in the maintenance area and a better explanation of what I think is happening, based on everything else I have tried so far.

Also, Barbie, maybe he was owned by someone who put a collar on him regularly! Are you going to get him chipped, or did they already do that at the rescue place? Just wondered.

And speaking of fall, has anyone tried the kinds of grab bars that attached with suction cups? I am wondering what is best to use because the walls of my shower are so flexible. What if I grabbed something and it did not hold my weight as I fell??? That is scary.

Barbie, there are places you can order collars with name and phone number embroidered on the collar. Sugar's collar has my last name and cell phone number. Name tags don't last and think I would get her back faster with that information. I have ordered cat collars like that but don't usually put collars on the outside cats. Since cats climb so much I am leery of putting collars on them in case they get them caught on something. If you are interested I can probably find where I ordered them from.

Judy, I don't think I would trust one of the grab bars with the suction cups. RV shower walls are not very strong.

took mom to the ENT dr to clean out her ears... the right one is a mess like lots of wax and skin tissue gave a long medical name for it don't remember it but he ordered some drops to help soften it as it was causing pain so he didn't get it out... the left ear is just fine... from how he described this I'm really thinking that it maybe part of the hearing loss... we can only hope...
my turn to continue to vent about mom her not eating supper we had sandwiches deli ham the kind in the package and good stuff to put on the sammy mom made a one piece of bread with some ham slices on it I didn't count them but think that it may have been 4 pieces a serving size is 10 equaling 90 calories... she didn't eat the bread and only the meat after I told her to eat it and forget the bread of that she maybe nibbled two or three bites... and one sugar snap pea glass of chocolate milk... she had all the diet hints down eat slow put down the fork between bites .... she says she is just not hungry I told her that I sure didn't need dad coming and giving me a whooping for starving her (not that he ever did) and he has been gone since 1973 my fears are that her stomach will shrink and she won't be able to eat enough even if this is due to heat...she almost starved herself a year and half ago I just don't know how to help her...
Karen is your phone number the same?
one of my dd's stopped in she is having to work in the office tomorrow so she came tonight will spend the night but is already in bed... so we talked about floors for the apartment not that we need to decide yet but ... it's hard to visualize the space since it's not framed in yet...
had some other some to say but don't remember what it was
Lyn google this oats + applesauce and see what you find... I did find the roll recipe by doing that the name of the roll with sweetened condensed milk one similar came up....
Irmi my friend that I saw the other day lives in NM think last time I saw her was before Larry passed away but not positive with that... we did have a good visit
you all have a great day
