Good evening gals!

Made it thru the day at work. Luckily only a 6 hour day and not very busy. My back hurt some this morning but just mostly sore rather than painful. I have a heating wrap for my lower back that I keep at work so I put that around the back of a chair (rather than around me) and turned it on while I was sitting in the chair. It also has a vibration mode so I turned that on too. I think that actually helped better than the heat. Felt much better this afternoon.

I stopped after work and picked up a Betta fish. He is red with white fins! Very pretty and seems healthy and active. I have him in a small container for now (actually is about 6 times larger than the tiny bowl he came in), until I get my aquarium set up for him. I have Japanese/Buddha decorations for the aquarium and have decided to name him Karma. He seems to like all the new space he has and is exploring the pagoda lantern I put in there. Wait til he gets in the new 5 gallon aquarium! He will be is fishy heaven with all that room to swim around!

Got quite a bit of notes written at work today on my autobiography. Almost done with the outline now. Then will go back to each topic and write in details. I have 40 topics and lots of subtopics, so that will take awhile to do all that.

It got to 114* today, 116 yesterday. Will start heading back down closer to 100* for a few days. These temps will be typical now until the end of October.

Need to find some dinner and then relax the rest of the evening. One more day of work and then have the rest of the week off. Back to sorting and organizing then. Got my new folding tables so I need to move the other tables and put these along that back wall. Then I can start putting the plastic drawers/bins under the tables. One of my new neighbors was putting a bunch of free stuff outside the other day so I took a peek and found an adorable tiny cabinet that is dark red and looks like an Asian wicker design on it. Not sure yet where I will put it but I love it!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I was going to complain about the heat here but Barbie has us beat. I can't imagine 114!! It is 9:00 here and with a dew point of 79 and temp at 88 it feels like 103! I am freaking out thinking the AC or electricity will go out. I can't remember it ever feeling this hot and it is supposed to last all week. I need to calm down or I'll never sleep tonight.
Judy I've never seen a square toilet lid it doesn't look comfortable. No idea why it is designed that way. I've never had a soft shell crab but from the discussion not sure I would like them.

we have had rain here and even some hail but didn't seem like it lasted long.... also thunder and lightening I guess a storm of sorts.. suppose to rain tomorrow morning so had dd put car in garage I even got it out while backing up past mom's car.. on one side of the drive there is a fence and lots a shrubs really easy to get too close to the fence... but I won't have to worry about it tomorrow just the garbage can...
dd told me that I'm all paid up for the cruise which is good cause what I've been paying on it I spent on plants  we will hope that they survive my being gone... niece is going to come and water them while I'm gone.. and also fill the hummer feeder.. at least once.. hopefully I will get to change it tomorrow...
planning on taking what my husband always called the scenic route... been awhile since I've taken that route... it's so pretty problem is that it's hard to gawk while driving
my sister in law text asking me if all I sent was one pair of pants (jeans) said yes that she has been in pj's forever so never thought about sending more than one pair... mom even mentioned it on chat... boy how can I read her mind??? when yesterday after her shower she was back into pj's and that was to travel over to brother's house.... oh well told her it was a good excuse to go get some new clothes
need to get some stuff done or I won't get out of here tomorrow
but did get to watch that new movie on Hallmark movies and mysteries.... a sweet movie the first time and perhaps the second time but more than that it will get old quickly.. and usually the first week after a new movie you get the opportunity of seeing it at least 3 times possibly 4 :o
my sister lives in Vegas last year she put in solar panels understood that she probably wouldn't see much difference for a year has it takes a bit to do whatever... when I asked if she was seeing any savings yet? she said yes paid a bill for 13 something and that was using A/C... can't kick about that...
pat I like your solution for your plant eaters.....
night all
