Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning All, sunny and pleasant on the island. Youngest granddaughter’s baby shower today so looking forward to a fun afternoon. Wrapped the Wonky Donkey book so am ready. Lol. Am upset, big mess on the balcony. Sparrows destroyed the Finches nest and have taken over. Nasty aggressive birds. Nothing I can do about it but will certainly raise their rent. Ran out this morning and got gas since the Maryland gas tax goes back in effect. Realized I didn’t have a gift card and wasn’t going to the store. Found a little card with a cute penguin that said “ may you holidays be shining and bright”. When you are 85 you can get away with some things. Lol Wouldn’t have to sign my name she will know who it is from. Be safe

I got back from New Orleans yesterday and I was pooped. I don't know how strong the winds were but I had to fight to keep my RV in my lane on bridges and overpasses. There was a red fire alert all over South Louisiana because of the wind, low humidity and drought. I should have waited until today but wanted to get home and check on the cats and dog. I had left Sugar with my son and she was pooped too. He leaves the back door open all day so the dogs can come and go. I can't do that here or the house would be full of cats. Sugar likes to lay on the back porch half the night but not last night and she slept until 8:00 this morning. The rally was fun but very tiring. Tuesday we had a bus tour all day. Wednesday we had a meeting with someone from the factory so we could ask questions. It was interesting to hear the problems everyone has. I hope Coach House never sells out and stays family owned. Thursday we toured the Mardi Gras Float Museum and got dropped at the World War II Museum for 5 hours. That was a bit much. Between the walking, bus rides and our meeting room being on the second floor my ankles were swollen and my knees were aching. I was about ready to call a taxi and go back to the campground. I don't know where they found the caterers for the meals but there was nothing served that was anything like South Louisiana food. People were from all over the country so they probably though it was good but I lost 3 pounds.

I thought about stoping to check on my taxes but they called this morning. I'll pick them up Monday.

I looked to see how old my HP computer is and I only bought it 3 years ago. I finally got it to update before my trip and got the GPS updated. It's a good thing because I needed it in New Orleans. My son had gotten me a big monitor for my desk so I am spoiled to the big screen.

BJ, you didn't need kids, you have enough excitement with your dogs. I got one of the emails about something being done from Moscow too. I reported it as Phishing. I report a lot of things as Phishing. If they don't want to be reported don't send me crap.

I didn't mow Sugar's yard last week and the grass is very tall. It's going to be hard to mow with the push mower. I will have to mow the yard this afternoon because the clover is taking over again. My roses are blooming like crazy. My $5 rose bush from Ollie's is doing good. I need to get the Ficus tree out of the old house. I'm glad I didn't get it out before with all the wind we have had.

Very breezy here and only 70°, headed for 79° weather says, showers starting tomorrow and for next few days are a possibility! What a change from yesterday's 92°! Keeping fingers crossed because we are in our first red flag warning of year. Woke up very stiff and sore, restricted neck movement--until I realized Stormy cat was pinning my Cpap hose tight while Mandy had my other side arm pinned! Much better after I could move! :D
I hope to get taxes nearly done today. Yesterday was a busy day and I didn't even touch the laptop.
Nice to hear about people going to rally's again. I need to hook up woth a compatible group and get going.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, barely. Nice sunshiny day with some clouds out, my kind of day not too hot and not too cold. They say it will be high 50's but it felt nice and warm out in the sun. I wanted to buy some plants and flowers but resisted the urge as we have some cold mornings coming.

Having tostados for dinner today. So nothing fancy.

Am taking a rest break while driving through West Virginia on way to Ohio. Suffering from snowbird shock because in short time I have gone from wearing shorts to freezing in long pants and heavy sweatshirt jacket!!! And about an hour ago, just north of Charleston, I drove through wind; heavy rain, and then sleet and hail. Slowed to 35 mph and put on my blinkers. A couple of cars behind me also slowed and put on blinkers instead of going around me. Lots of cars were pulled off on shoulder but I don’t like doing that in this big vehicle. Finally drove out of it. Whew. And no rest areas for last 60 miles.

Supposed to get warmer next week. Hope so or I will need another propane fill.

Got 75 miles to go. Glad sun is setting later.

Wind seems to be a factor in so many places and already fires in several. Cool and cloudy here. People are wanting to plant, but it's too early.

Martha, I'm expecting to come home from the Ireland trip pooped! One member of the group has already asked his daughter (organizer) where the nap place is on one long day. She told him in the bar at the Whiskey Museum! Shirl, the baby shower for my niece was last weekend. They were doing a drive thru so I didn't make the 5 hour one way drive - sure enjoyed all the photos though. I'm thinking you've had a fun day. BJ, I just laugh about your dogs!

Now with a phone, I finally talked to my Kansas aunt. It sounds like my May road trip is on. Have made some motel reservations already. It will be interesting to see if I can drive longer days with the car. Flying would be quicker, but getting to the Seattle airport is a pain and I'll enjoy the drive and scenery.

Anita, you better start training for your trip. I got out of the habit of walking every day after I aggravated my foot. I didn't realize how out of shape I am.
