I know everyone has given their best advice about electrolytes, but you can over or under dose on these, so my best advice is to talk to your doctor and find out if you are really low on magnesium or potassium and let him or her prescribe the best way to get it.
I will tell you that growing up in a pack of kids does have some negative effects. The biggest one is that you are always trying to be heard above the din of your cousins, so I tend to talk more loudly than I really need to. My kids are constantly reminding me to talk more quietly, especially in a crowd. Another effect is that adults were always trying to get us to go outside to play. I think having anywhere from 5 to 7+ kids ages 5-12 around drove them nuts, and I can't blame them. They also played games with us to see who could be the quietest, and then they gave rewards for the quietest kids! Luckily, our parents were mostly very young also in those days and could probably tolerate us fairly well.
My dad had bought a farm when I was about 6 or 7, and my grandparents lived in the farmhouse, so on Sundays, often quite a few of us showed up there. We had a pond for ice skating in the winter, as well.
