I've done more research on my couch and also took some better measurements. I also found a company in the Miami area that manufactures boat and RV furniture, so I am going to call them on Monday and maybe drive there on Tuesday. It is a long drive, and I would have to leave very early, but I could make it there before 1 pm and have a couple of hours before i have to drive to my night's campground.

I also talked to a neighbor who replaced their couch and am going to go talk to them in more detail and take a look at it on Monday. (They will be gone tomorrow for the day.) Husband suggested that I could put a piece of plywood down that might slightly stick over the slide, and then install the couch on the plywood. The tricky part is the size, but this place near Miami offers a low back option and will install furniture. They also have some fairly low couches and loveseat recliners. I am thinking if I go to their showroom/shop and they actually look at the space, that they might have a solution or two. It is really hard to describe the situation over the phone.

Anyway, it will be worth the drive.

it actually got up to 43 today and the sun was out it was positively nice... while outside inside???? we are still cold not due to furnace but due to thermostat set at 67 and my comfort level is 70 or more  hope Sharon that the furnace keeps responding to knocking when needed.... it would be better if it needed to be replace to have the option of doing it in the summer... but then we don't know that it needs to be replace do we??
Awhile back mom mentioned taking a shower I suggested that we do it right after supper but that is when Wheel of Fortune in on... but it's ok for me to supervise her shower when I'm into a show usually say when the show is over which is 9 here.. that happened tonight but 9 came and she was sleeping so I did something on my e-mail she woke up about 15 mins later asked if she wanted a shower not now I'll take it tomorrow I reminded her that the new Aurioa Teagarden movie would be on and I'd want to see it all the way and after was family chat... that on top of my telling her I was going to Utah next week for a week and she was going to Brother's for the week and she asked why she couldn't just stay home I said not by herself... and she hadn't convince us that she can stay by herself... she isn't very happy at all .... not sure what I can do about it though... it would be nice if sister in law could just come stay with her but that leave brother to take care of niece all by himself... no one else that can come stay with her...
having niece and nephew and their family over tomorrow for supper decided on stew I picked up a reduced to sell roast to cut up for it good thing it was reduced it was still expensive but guess when you figure in who all will be eating it then it doesn't sounds so bad.. so we will have stew and biscuits made cookies tonight made a crinkled molasses cookie tastes really good!!!
was going to make breakfast for supper .... but ended up heating up the left over pizza's after all the oven was hot so might as well.. actually heated up quite well
glad it was the parks probably Beth... and all taken care of
sounds like you found a good place to go check on a couch Judy I was going to suggest a day bed...
Martha you ought to try finding a rose called Sheila's Perfume one of our old members had one then my good friend had one but I've never been able to find one to put in my daughter's yard... my friend said that it has the best fragrance
I guess one day I ought to try and come up with some sort of directive... but haven't
well you all have a great day

Sheila, your conversations with you mother remind me of responsibilities while raising children. It is important to show respect but our job/s isn't necessarily to make them happy but to provide for them and try to keep them healthy, safe and engaged in the world the best we can. And unless it is an issue of finances I would raise the thermostat. It may be her home but she wouldn't be living there if it were not for you. Your comfort and health matter also. But then my body doesn't tolerate the cold at all.

when mom retired she had no retirement except SS it was very low... and she is very frugal the queen of rinsing out zip lock bags... she keeps the thermostat low for two reasons I'm sure cost she is really complaining about the cost of the electricity it is still high she has an electrical house so my cooking more has I'm sure raised it... and possibly that electrical throw I use for a few hours when I go to bed  she also keeps it lower so that the pellet stove will work I don't get the logic but the pellet stove is in a room that is unheated it was added on not sure why no heat but it doesn't have... when I moved in to help it was with the thought that come fall I'd be able to turn her over to the brother's thinking surely between the two of them they could take care of her even if it wasn't in her home and when spring came so would I and she would be in her own home... but one brother is now sick so it's is between my middle brother and me... I am still hoping that come fall I will be able to go to Q
I buy the food and anything that I deem we need and have someone pick up for me as well as her RX I refuse to ask her for money I drive her car so I pay for the gas... possibly I should help with some of the other stuff but I haven't offered to and she hasn't asked me... if she spent the winter away her electricity would be lots less... it is up in the air as to what we will do when she fell and was in the hospital we wondered if she would make it to Christmas...
I guess it is what is ... but I do use you all to vent with...
