Morning Shirl and all that read or follow. Was more than chilly here in North Florida. Was down to 34* last night but at a perky 58* now. We have promises of low 60’s today. Cold again tonight and nice and warm tomorrow. After these two really cold nights we go back up to 40’s and 50’s at night a 70’s in the day time. I expect the flowers to open up and glow for us for a bit.

Shirl I meant to tell you earlier that I went all the way back to the first post in “Recipes” and copied out all the ones I wanted to try. If you have the Apple phone or iPad look up the Copy Me That free app for copying recipes. You don’t have to print, copy and paste as the app does it for you.

Going on a tour of the Suwanee Music RV Park tonight. They do a nice show. Will have a nice time this afternoon at the President’s tea party before we go see the lights. Friday I will pick up our “to go” dinner about noon! Then attend the church services. Saturday we will warm up our dinner and pig out for a couple of meals. Sunday will be another beautiful church service and left overs for lunch. Then sit in the sun and start planning New Years celebration.

Prayers for healthy and safe celebrations for each and every one of you and your families!

Felice Navidad to you Beth!

Looking forward to celebrating His birth.

Good afternoon! It’s a very chilly 30 here so far today and not going much higher! I definitely had an interesting evening yesterday. I finally decided to make the cookies I’ve been talking about making so when I got into the pantry cupboard to grab some ingredients the whole shelf dropped! DH had used the plastic pegs as I call them for lack of a better way to describe them to hold up the shelf. So instead of my apron it was the tool belt. Managed, of course to do some cleaning out plus after much thinking I think I’ve managed to fix it. With only one pair of hands it was a challenge! This pantry cupboard was something DH built not long after we moved into this house so as usual, it was a challenge! So not sure if cookies will get done or not today! I still need to do some cleanup from the mess I made last night! I pretty much did everything including sawing some pieces of wood in the kitchen since it was so cold outside and my garage isn’t heated! And as usual I’m moving slow to start my day! I did get some bills paid and whatnot so all is not lost! I think despite the cold Rascal and I need to go for a walk or something to get out of the house. Don’t need to go to any stores so a walk will do us both good. And my sore back will probably thank me! Weird positions yesterday sure didn’t help it any! I sure can’t say I’m bored anymore! And that’s not a word I like to use. So hope everyone has a great day and finds something to smile about!

Good afternoon ladies!

Shirl, I'll bet you found something interesting to do today, even if it was finding You Tube videos to watch. Birdie, it is always good hearing from you. It was cold in central FL this morning when I went out for my walk. It was 39.8 when I left and 40.2 when I got back but we're 68.1 right now. Sharon, Did you use the metal clips for your kitchen shelf? I can only imagine the mess but glad you weren't injured in this incidence.

The electric hand mixer I've used for years quit yesterday so went into town today to look for one. If you've never been to Webster, there is little to nothing besides a Family Dollar Store and Dollar General Store to choose from. So tomorrow we're going to Bushnell, the next town over to see if I can find one there. I want to make a cake tomorrow for Christmas Day and be able to mash potatoes the same day, when Brenda & Linda, Sandy's sister, come for dinner. Yes, I have the potato masher but care for creamier mashed potatoes. Oh, the trivial things I worry about. Take care everyone and continue staying safe.

Another busy Day about gone. Had to get out and clear the drives of the snow I didn’t do yesterdsy. Didn’t take long as the lake effect is fluffier and I can run the blower at a higher gear and it’s up and down the drive faster. Once that was done, came in and washed my hair as I get sweaty doing the snow. Then ran to town to the store to pick up the fixins to take to Christmas dinner on Saturday. Same ones of us who gathered at Thanksgiving. Neighbor and I are taking deserts. We have to steer clear of dairy, nuts, seafood and gluten as two people have allergies to them. So we keep menu plain and simple. I’m making jello with fruit cocktail in it. Neighbor will decide what she’s making. Her daughter is the one with The gluten issues. Stopped and had pizza buffet for lunch. Store was busy but self checkout moved pretty fast. I didn’t find out till last night, that we were to bring desert or would have picked up the stuff when I went shopping earlier this week. Also put a second coat of paint on two sections of the name sign.

Birdie, glad to see you post. Sounds like a nice Christmas coming up for you. O’Sharon, glad you got the shelf issue taken care of. Never under estimate the power of us women.

So, don’t have to fix supper other than brown the ground Turkey for the dogs dinner. Will have a snack later. Another neighbor just dropped off some cookies and my Christmas present from neighbors whose house I watch, arrived too. Might do some Sanding on the other two sign parts or might not.

I’m sitting and watching light snow floating down. The house is warm, the dogs are snoozing, all’s well in my world. CW is rebroadcasting “Silent Night: A Song for the World at 8 p.m. tonight. If any of you can get CW, I highly recommend this musical documentary. If will leave you with a feeling of peace and some knowledge you probably never knew about this Carol.

I got up and at 'em this morning to get my car in the shop. Got the brake light fixed. Also got a great estimate on two new tires I need for the front. Will get those in January. They locked in the special price for me til then. I want to have good tires before I head to Arizona in February for the gourd festival. Also asked about the ignition issue. They didn't have time today to look at it but will check it out when I come back for the tires. It is something that has happened before and seems to come and go, just like the crazy windshield wipers that spontaneously turn on.

Dropped off a bunch of library books that were (over)due and filled the gas tank and got the car washed. Rain is moving down this way for tonight and tomorrow so I figured if I get a car wash, it will guarantee we will finally get some rain here!

Right shoulder joint still inflamed. Put a pain patch on it to see if that will help. If it doesn't get better soon, I will go in and get it looked at next week.

Need to get off my butt here and get back to my list of things to do. I have been shopping on Amazon and putting more library books on hold. I ordered some Spanish books to learn a few words and phrases. My manager wants to teach me some also, for work. We get a lot of Mexicans that don't speak much English so it will be helpful to know a few key words and phrases to help with communicating.

Linda says there will be plenty of food so not to bring anything. That's OK. One less thing to do today.

Sue, what is CW? If I can find it, I will turn that on tonight.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

CW is just known as the CW channel.

It is a joint venture between CBS Corporation, the former owner of United Paramount Network (UPN), and Time Warner's Warner Bros., former majority owner of The WB Television Network. The "CW" name is derived from the first letter of the names of these corporations (CBS and Warner Bros.).

How to Watch The CW Live and On-Demand
How to Watch The CW Online. The CW on YouTube TV. Watch the CW on Hulu. Watch The CW on DIRECTV STREAM.
Stream The CW On-Demand. Watch Free with the CW App. The CW on Netflix. . And also on most Cable services. Channel numbers vary with each carrier. My Spectrum is 61.

I second Birdie's recommendation of the "copy me that" app. I love it.

As I was walking Ty to the exit a truck stopped and the guy was here to see if anyone needed an RV Wash/wax. Ha, I had his business card already in my rig, planning to call the beginning of the year. Now it's scheduled for this coming Monday. The RV really needs it and his price is good. I'm always in awe of all of you that do your own, but it's not for me, especially this rig with the fiberglass roof. It gets so slick when waxed that I won't even go up there for quite awhile after it's waxed. As necessary I climb the ladder and make sure everything's good, but just don't feel safe up there at all.

Barbie, I have the CW station over the air here.

I got up this morning and drove to the dump station to dump my tanks. This site has full hookups, but has the dump hookup about 6 feet behind and to the side of the edge of the campsite. It is also raised up about 8". In order to use it, I have to back up as far as I can to the point where my bike rack is in the shrubbery and then try to stretch the hose out, except that I cannot possibly raise the hose enough. So, I rinsed and packed away my hose and headed for the dump station. On Sunday I move to a handicap site where the connection is much closer and easier to use, so I will dump then on Monday, just before I leave. Will also rinse black tank out.

Then on to stop at Trader Joe's to pick up a few things, and then spent a couple of hours at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. I have been there several times and love all the tropical plants and the orchids and such in the greenhouse. Only problem is that I discovered that they are building a big research center, enlarging the greenhouses to store endangered tropical plants during hurricanes, and replacing the parking lot with one that is three stories tall. This last item will mean I cannot go there with my motorhome. The gardens are tucked in a peninsula with almost no street parking, so I might have to rent a car or park somewhere and take an Uber. I told them they needed to make plans for people with large vehicles.

Anyway, it was a terrific couple of hours enjoying the views of the Sarasota Harbor and the plants. They have a very nice gift shop and a terrific greenhouse full of orchids for sale, except of course, I cannot really put any in my RV without them being too hot, too cold, or drying out.

I went to Lafayette to get my mammogram done this morning. I leave here at what I think is early enough to get there and get in a 5 mile traffic jam in Lafayette. I made it on time but wasn't early. Thank goodness they check you in and I didn't have to use one of those screens. The clinic was by Marshall's and Home Goods so decided to go there. Bad idea. I think everyone in Lafayette that has a car was out. After that I went to a mexican restaurant I had never been to. Don't think I need to go there again. The food was ok but not great. Their sauce that was suppose to be mild was so peppered I almost couldn't eat it.

On the news tonight they said there were shots fired in the Target parking lot. I passed by there twice but was on the other side of town when it happened. I'm going to try to stay out of Lafayette until next year. I stopped by Office Depot looking for a file cabinet but they didn't have anything I could use. I ordered one online. Hope the measurements listed are true.

I have a file on my computer called Notes that I can copy recipes to. I even use it to write letters to print. There is probably a better way to do that but I haven't found it.

When I went to a campout in Donna, TX we all got our motorhomes washed and waxed. Around here they want about 4 times what it cost in the valley. My wash jobs aren't great but will have to do until I pass a truck wash place.

Sharon, I keep waiting for the shelves in my pantry to fall. The shelves were built in when we bought this house. They are way over loaded. That would be a mess. I keep telling myself not to buy anything else but you know how that goes.

Good to see you post Birdie. Sounds like you will have a busy time for Christmas.

It got up to 77 today and it's suppose to be 80 for the next week with not much chance of rain.

been somewhat of a lazy day... I dig get supper was going to say what the recipe was but can't remember how to spell the gnocchi aw got it so it was cheeseburger gnocchi I like it mom didn't like the gnocchi that much .... so that recipe that was suppose to feed 4 and probably had 6 left over well depending on the size of serving need to find a home... as although I do give her leftovers I don't want to when I know that it is something she didn't like the first go round...
made candy as well ought to go see how it turned out... did you all know that a cup of choc chips is not 8 oz... like a normal 8 oz measurement would be? I sure didn't till I googled it
and another thing I learned today was that you can find tree farms in Louisiana? at least according to the word search I did today on a visit to Louisiana... most of it I recognized but not tree farms..
so I did do a word search not sure if I colored or not and of course reading all those stupid stories you can find of FB such a waste of time...
that was a great save Sharon I wouldn't have even known where to begin other than picking up stuff...
it snowed today like a great portion of it... and guess what Mom didn't even say that the drive needs shoveling although I do need to see who I can find to do that normally my nephew does but he and his family went to his parent's house for Christmas...
thanks Barbi for the link I will need to look into them better
mom asked what the plans are for Christmas dinner told her the menu she says sounds like a lot of cooking will need to get busy actually all that we are doing is pretty easy... fruit salad had to laugh mom likes the Tropical fruit mix but not the fruit cocktail couldn't find it here in town.... so reached out to the girls looks like they have 4 cans between them... actually the hardest part is going to be the pies will do that tomorrow and the raspberry salad which again is so easy just need to be done so it can set up... thinking the back of one of the cars will be good... for another fridge  going to make pecan pie apple pie and chocolate cream as well as peanut butter all really easy just time consuming might bring out my radio while doing it ... need to get the electric whatever it's called down for the ham that maybe the hardest as it's up high meant to have my nephew get it down but forgot...
it's more getting organized and delegating most of the food is here and hopefully got a big enough ham if not we can eat Cheeseburger Gnocchi
you all have a great day
