Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wakey wakey ladies~~~

Time for a monthly catch-up of what's {{{shaking}}} in you world

Not a whole lot new here in the Chitown burbs. Dad's been home for a week. He's doing pretty well with his exercises, but can't quire get the rhythm of the walker yet, since he still can't put weight on his left foot. Next ortho appointment is on the 11th.

My routine has consisted of cooking for him, running errands as needed, coordinating therapist times, and s-l-o-w-l-y cleaning. Starting on paper stuff he had hidden in drawers and on the kitchen table, etc. We have a whole box to get shredded and we've only done the table and two drawers. We'll I am here long term, so there's no rush. We'll need a dumpster when we get to clothes. I tell him he dresses like he's homeless. I swear every T- shirt he owns has holes, and he had drawers full of never worn ones. Geesh!

Well that's my Itty bitty news. Have a good day ladies. Stay safe from heat and smoke and do something fun today.

Morning Cheryl and All, haven’t checked weather and no longer stick my nose out the door for a breathe of fresh humidity. Did remember to say rabbits. Since the pandemic my family takes my order if they are going to Sam’s Club. Will sneak out early to pick up an order from daughter before the beach traffic heads home. Did laundry and made a batch of chili yesterday so nothing fun to do today. :D Cheryl, I have piles of paper everywhere too along with ratty clothes that are more comfortable than spandex. Just kidding only one ratty cardigan. Sams has frozen marinated salmon filet so that will be dinner. I have a paper shredder so maybe I will tackle some paper piles. Be safe

Morning Cheryl, Shirl and all who follow. I too need to get some new duds. So much more comfty to wear the old ones, but getting to a point where they y are getting to old. Time to get online and do some shopping. Papers are no issue as I keep after my files and stuff. Don’t want to leave a nightmare for whomever has to deal with my affairs after I’m gone.

Cloudy this morning. Don’t know if it’s smoke or clouds. Probably a bit of both. Having a fall like Weather cool down for a couple days. Feels good. Good working outside weather. Need to pick up the cut up saplings, couple small dead trees and some overgrowth I cut down by the house yesterday morning. Got into a little cleaning up and reorganizing session in my shed. Everything is in it’s place in there, just needed to make something to put some small loose dowels in. Piece of PVC pipe with cap on the bottom, fastened to the side if the shelving with a hose clamp fit the bill perfectly. But that lead to making some changes on the box I keep the PVC pipe pieces in, which side tracked the original project for awhile.

Dishes are calling in the sink and fresh baked muffins need to be bagged so they don’t dry out. Have some round steak in slower cooker to turn on for dinner with some sweet corn and a salad tonight. So best get going.

Have a nice day, Stsy safe d looking forward to hearing from the mo they posters.

Greetings from Mammoth Lakes. I am in a motel, not camping. All the Grands and Greats are. Down in the camp ground. At 8000 feet I am not doing much walking. Lyn

No, I didn't say rabbits. Hoping for the best anyway. Time to walk Ty and get ready for work. Lyn, it was good to hear from you yesterday and now again today. Cheryl, you are a good daughter. Hang in there.

I am moving kind of slow this morning. Motivation hasn't kicked in yet. I did remember Rabbits......second month in a row wahoo. It is change some of my passwords and Heartguard day. I try to change some of my passwords every month and this always seems to be a good reminder. So far have not been hacked so think it is working.

Also time to fertilize and add some dirt to my tomatoes and some of my plants. Going to be hot here again today. I am doing my "C'mon Fall" dance a little early this year LOL I am pretty sure it is not doing any good altho time is flying by so fast, I lost June and now July.

I was planning on going to our local fair that opens this weekend but I tell ya people here are very "mask resistant" and they are expecting a crowd for attendance so not going. Our numbers keep going up so I would have to wear my N95 and that is just not a comfortable mask to wear at all for long term, soooo will just stay home. Will head to Medford for my eye doc appts on Wed and come home on Friday. I always get the early appts like 8am so on Friday I am out of there by 9 so just go back and pick up the dog and head home.

Now time to get some breakfast and at least fertilize the plants before it gets hot, after that who knows.

I forgot Rabbits again. The sky to the South is a strange blue gray color. The weather channel says a 30% chance of rain but I think I'm going to get rain. It's getting breezy and I hear thunder.

Yesterday I went to Lafayette for a Meetup brunch. I was early and thought about stopping at the Farmers market but it was a parking nightmare. It is right next to a shopping center and half of the shopping center's parking lot was full. I'm wondering how long they are going to let that go on. We were going to Panera Bread but the dining room was closed so we went to a restaurant I had never been to. It is very popular and we had to stand in line for a little while. A friend and I went to Total Wine. I have never seen so much wine and liquor in one place. There was a story on the news about there being a shortage of liquor but that didn't seem to be the case in that store. They had a wine tasting so tried some blueberry and had to get some.

Cheryl, I'm glad you can't see some of the shirts I wear sometimes. I try to not go to town in them but sometimes forget. One shirt I liked had lost some buttons that I kept trying to find some to replace. I took a hard look at the shirt and it needed to go in the trash, not get new buttons. lol My sister and I use to disappear some of the things our mother was wearing. My friend that kept me in line moved to New Orleans.

I need to get rid of some magazines and papers. For some reason my son got rid of my shredder but I can burn papers and boxes. Instead of buying a new tax box every year I have started burning the oldest year and reusing the box.

Shirl, it's too darn hot for chili. I ate a container of chili that was in the freezer but I'm not making chili or gumbo. I am still eating on the meatloaf I made but think I'll cook a piece of steak in the air fryer for lunch. All the fast food places have chicken sandwiches now. I tried one from KFC. It was ok but won't buy another one. Everyone thinks the one from Popeyes is great but I didn't care for it either.

Guess I better get dressed and go feed the cats. They will all be on the porch waiting for me.

Good morning Everybody. I’m checking in from beautiful CT; cool and sunny today; just about perfect. I was thinking the other day when Sue offered Michigan for relocation. How about CT??? We are losing population and it’s such a tiny state. It’s expensive and that’s a big drawback and cold in the winter, but not like northern MN or ND...

Cheryl, Dad always got a new shirt for Christmas, but he would put it in the drawer and save it. Then he would put on last year’s new shirt. Since the pandemic I would be embarrassed if anybody saw what I was wearing in the garden and around the house! Enjoy today. Peggy

I didn't even realize it was already August 1st! Was thinking it was sometime this week, so I never even thought to say "rabbits".

I have some old raggy t-shirts that I love to wear. Hard to get rid of them because they go with my blue jeans and are very comfortable.

I did get most of my kitchen cleaned yesterday. Just a little more to do today. I made a schedule of rooms to clean up each day of the week. I made one before, but it was little and I kept losing it, so this time I made two very large ones and posted one in my bedroom and one in my living room and the little one in my bathroom. Now I have no excuse to not clean up each room once a week and keep up with keeping this place presentable.

Yesterday I was watching TV and heard water dripping. I looked around and realized it was coming from my mini-split unit. I texted the guy who installed it and he said to take out the filters and clean them. I took them out and they didn't look too bad but I sprayed them down with the hose outside and put them back once they were dry (they are plastic and nylon). Seems to be working OK now. Need to do that with the ones in the bedroom today. I think the humidity in the air is probably causing that too. I feel bad for people out here who only have swamp coolers since they really don't do much good when it is humid out.

I need to make a run to WM today too since I am out of cat food for the stray kitties. I could probably just go to the dollar store since I just get them the cheap stuff anyways, altho I have a couple of tops I bought at WM the other day that are a little small and need to exchange for a bigger size.

No golf on TV this weekend because of the Olympics. So far I haven't seen anything that interests me. I enjoy the equestrian events but they rarely televise those for some reason.

Church is on in half an hour and then need to get up and moving. Have a headache this morning so I need to take something for that.

Great to hear from you Lyn! I bet Mammoth is gorgeous! Hopefully no smoke in that area.

Have a good Sunday and Rabbits Day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning! I have been messed up on dates and days all last week. I remembered rabbits sometime during the night, but who knows if I had already talked to myself or the TV.

Cloudy, cool and had some rain. I can't tell here when it rains. Smoke from fires up north has rolled in - not too bad but Monica says East Wenatchee is.

Lyn, I hear you about disappearing posts! Now that I am off the road, I am trying to improve my wardrobe. I 'save' the nice tops so have pictures 10 years apart with the same top! It was always fun to further the tear in one of Steven's undershirts, fold it and put it in his drawer. :D Cheryl, it's good you can be rid of some of the things now while helping your dad.

I haven't watched Olympics - once all the controversy started, I was done. Guess that wasn't fair to those who aren't involved in the messes. Now with serious injuries, a horse being put down, it's too depressing. Enough bad news. I made the kitchen my project yesterday for organizing and then I tried to switch my phone from my Verizon account to my daughter's provider account. I misunderstood the gal at the store so ran into problems activating my phone. The day before I hooked up the Fire Stick.

This won't be to everyone's liking, but I happened on videos from Plant Based Gabriel which shows his now 18 month old daughter on the farm. She is quite the little character picking and eating fresh produce, playing with animals, etc. Gabriel was a college football player who broke his back and gained a lot of weight. He went for a plant based diet and lost 100 pounds. Mom is a mathematic professor so he's the stay at home dad. Little Bridgette Rose gives me a smile. link to today's video https://fb.watch/76AA4YBMGk/

Have a good day, week and month!!

I said Rabbits before and after midnight, since Sarah reminded us on Facebook! Hope it works! On our way to another warm day here in Northern California. I woke up after only 4.5 hours of sleep and never went back to sleep, so I'm tired today. Church will be on in an hour. Mandy is half across my chest and we are just checking email , the forum, and FB. I got rid of a whole lot of clothes as I lost weight, and added new here and there, but I could use some new dressier clothes for church and other special occasions, but I despise the "fashion" of stores today! It's always fun to see who pops in for the rabbit post each month. This month sons PT continues and he has a dentist appointment. I'm hoping Sean, the handyman, finishes my bedroom deck renovation and finishes the remaining small details on other decks so he can move on to my sunroom. We will mostly stay in our bubble here. And I'll continue my decluttering, going to Curves, walking on treadmill and working out on Total Gym.

Yes! I remembered to say Rabbits! Just hope it works better than it did last month. Not to be a Debbie Downer but July wasn’t a good. It started on July 3rd, I ended up in the hospital for two days. My oxygen level tanked so it was a trip to the emergency room. After every test they did everything was fine and my O2 level returned to normal within a few hours. So it was probably just hot weather and high humidity. Two day a week PT for my bum foot and daily exercises at home hasn’t helped do I see the orthopedic specialist this Tuesday. The worst thing that happened was my friend Missy’s 27 year old grandson died after a freak accident playing softball. Zach and another player collided while trying to catch a ball. Both fell and Zach got up but collapsed immediately and lost consciousness. CPR was performed by an RN at the game and someone ran to the local church and got the AED. The ambulance came and he was transported to the local hospital and air lifted to Sioux Falls where is passed. Zach was a well-liked young man. In small community where everyone knows everyone it’s been very hard on everyone. During this time another friend’s mother passed. So I’m glad to see July is over.

It’s been extremely hot and dry. It seems like the rain goes around us. Right now we’re getting the smoke from the fires in Canada and the air quality is poor and it’s extremely hazy. I’m staying in the house as much as possible.

So here’s to a good August. Wishing all of you the best too! I’m not going to comment on anyone’s posts for fear I would forget someone. I read every evening before I go to bed….have to wait for Sheila’s post! :D
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Am in Traverse City SP right now. Left the casino RV park late this morning because I slept in! Very short drive today and not sure this state park was a good decision. It is an older one and has a lot of trees and very small camping spots. Actually, the trees make the spots even smaller because the spots are all dirt, and it is hard to get into a camping spot without hitting trees. I had a gentleman help me park, but it was still not easy. I like more open spots, and asphalt so I can more easily get in and out. And campsite next door has their campfire ring a little close to my rig, but I think they are hanging out with friends on the other side. The place is also packed with a lot of families and kids. Probably will not come back here, at least in the summer. Fall or spring weekday would be fine.

I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things, most importantly, a loaf of bread, then had a BLT sandwich for late lunch/early dinner. Probably will have a couple of ears of the corn I got the other day for a late dinner/evening snack.

I also check for Sheila's late post to end my evening!!

I am glad that I am read... often wonder  ... you know that habit is a lot of it... I used to work come home be involved in family stuff like feeding them separating them taking them places then when they could drive worried about them... so "my" time was late and that is when I got on the computer as well as the forum... and created a habit one that I could if I tried change but is still do other stuff before I spend my 2 hours on the computer... even my 2 rows on my afghan which I am now down to 7 rows.... yea!!!! have the yarn for the next one but I would sure like to find that pattern for the afghan I made last year for my grandson... hopefully I will stop by the trailer for a bit on the weekend... we will see
heard unsettling news today... friends were over and they mentioned that their son had been working on the fair and I asked if he worked with my dd what bank he works at ect they told me then went on to say that it was being purchased by another bank... but all were suppose to be retained so checked with dd it was the same bank and she does work with him but didn't know much about the buy out... one thing I didn't pass on was that they said the loan department wouldn't be here I hope that is wrong I sure don't want dd to have to find another position or another job... he deals with depression and anxiety can't think this will be good... so on pins and needles to say the least..
it's been a typical Sunday day church study and nap all in that order
well it is that time of night
you have a great day
