Saturday Afternoon

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Afternoon

Postby Bethers » Sat May 29, 2021 2:02 pm

Several posts but no one opened our morning.

I like my bosses but they are getting frustrated with no time off. I warned them that that is one reason I didn't go back to SD. If you manage and it's seasonal, you pretty much need to be around most days, even if not for much on some of them. Things just happen. That said, they only hired a part time housekeeper to help and it's not enough when we're as busy as we are this week. And by part time I mean only two days a week. I'm part time, but 5 days a week. Tomorrow we have almost the whole place to turn over. Obviously I can't do that myself, so they have to help. Oh well. But I'd hate to lose them so I hope something gets done.

Ty got a bath this morning. He was showing off his pretty mohawk (it always looks best immediately after a bath) to 2 of the other workampers and then rolled over in the dirt. The little rascal. Mohawk still looks good though lol

Sandi, I look forward to any artwork you show us!

Hi Beth and all that check in,

Shortly after Steve & I were married, we went into hotel management and that was one of the hardest jobs we ever had. I made and cleaned lots of rooms when the others decided not to show up, Steve cut the grass and swept the sidewalk plus our office was open from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. seven days a week. Had I known what I know now, things may have been done differently in our lives.

I got a call that another family member died and was found dead in his house. Our family is much smaller.

I worked with a lady who's husband owned and ran a small gas station. She called it a jail without bars. Sounds like you all know what she meant.

I messed around all morning and waited until it decided to rain to go to town. Went to Lowe's mostly to get some bolts that wouldn't rust for the dog fence. Hopefully I can replace the bolts that have rusted. The fence is 2 foot panels that bolt together so a lot of bolts. I want to move one of the gates. I was going to stop at the grocery store but it was raining too hard.

Sugar likes to roll in the grass. I'm not sure if she is scratching or rolling in something that stinks. Yesterday she was trying to roll on the side of the ditch and almost fell in the ditch water.

It's going to be a long weekend. Two more days of doing nothing.

I misunderstood the trip to Yellowstone... oh well hopefully it will happen another day
we instead went to Grand Teton National Park on the way we stopped and got flowers for the graves then left them at mom's
headed up to the park talked with the rest of the family and decided to meet at a lodge at 12:30 so we drove around the 12 yr old and 7 year old really were troopers although the youngest kept asking when we were going to go to the park...
the roads weren't busy but the parking was horrible so we truly drove a lot went up to the to of Signal Mt... not far from where we were going to meet up at then headed south with the plans of going to Jenny lake and walking around the parking was out to the hwy and beyond so by passed that drove to a trail head and turned around then it was close to time to meet up so went back to the lodge and found out it was just take out decided instead that we would go to Dubois and eat (we were going to go anyway) so eat then went to the cemetery where my sil is buried at... we at least accomplished that back to town and a park then to my mom's for a few stopped at the grocery store for a few things so tomorrow will have to hustle with stuff for the picnic we normally have after we take flowers to the cemetery... did cook the bacon and onions for the baked beans forgot the brown sugar sure hope I have some think I do guess we will see probably dd will have some letting it cool off so I can put it into the frig
so that was my day another beautiful day
