Saturday May 15

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday May 15

Morning All, pretty morning on the shore, 70° predicted. Looks like a nice week ahead, weather wise. It’s commission week for the naval academy so traffic in Annapolis will be awful. Families visiting and the Blue Angels performing add to the chaos. I’m going to pack up Grandma’s China for youngest granddaughter. That leaves me with an empty China cabinet. Certainly don’t need a dining room set and would like to sell it. Will look in consignment shops for a small table and chairs and ask youngest daughter, the yard sale queen to shop for one. Nothing like buying something new, the recliner, to get things moving. Like the vacuum cleaner  Enjot your day and still be safe.

Good morning Shirl and all that follow. Got home from Medford yesterday. Was a pretty good productive week. Saw Rheumatologist just because, he thinks I need to see him every 6 months per the protocol for the infusion I am on. All was well, spent my 15 minutes with him basically chatting LOL Then had eye doc appt for injections on Thurs and Fri. Left after that and had a nice drive home for a Friday. We went to seafood restaurant on Thursday and it was very good. Always good to get home tho.

I was worried about my tomato and squash plants while I was gone but I did water them well before I left and I swear they doubled in size while I was gone. So got all the plants watered, stuff put away, so pretty much back to normal. I bought a small bench for my bedroom and it came while I was gone so will need to put that together (screw on legs LOL) this weekend. My seed potatoes came so I am going to plant them also this weekend. Going to plant them in potato bags and see what happens. Just a bit of a fun experiment. Then will get my drip system set up to water the tomatoes. The rest of the supplies came while I was gone and my neighbor picked them up and they are over at his house so will run over there this morning to get them and my mail.

Pondering what to fix for dinner..............have some choices but need to decide what to thaw out. Might just pop something in the crock pot...we shall see.

Hi Shirl & Karen & everyone that checks in! Shirl, that was too funny! Karen, so glad you are back home from your appointments and can't wait to read updates on your garden.

There hasn't been much going on here but we will get our last Pfizer vaccine this week. My sister & bil will be visiting us for a couple days next week in their new Class B motorhome. I can't wait to see them. The weather here has been a roller coaster of temperatures, from morning lows in the high 50's to day time highs in the mid 80's and lots of breezes. We've had these breezes for weeks on end but I know they're nothing like what some of you are experiencing on the west coast. We'll be in FL for another 5-6 weeks or so and head north to MD.

Good evening gals!

Irmi, have you been using your casita a lot? Is it all finished now?

I worked 6 hours today and of course my customers were practically lined up waiting for me. I tried to be very careful with how I moved my arm and shoulder while cutting. I did pretty good but occasionally forgot and moved it wrong, causing some burning sensations but that went away after a few minutes. Just took my time with each haircut.

Just got a letter from my insurance OKing 12 more sessions of PT so will call Monday and get that set up.

I have been watching a lot of paranormal shows on TV lately. Last night I got into bed after watching Ghost Adventures, and turned out the light and within a minute or so, my bed shook for just a second. :o I turned on a light and slept with it on all night! I was really hoping it was just a small earthquake so I checked this morning on the website and nope, nothing. Hmmm... Maybe I need to start watching something else on TV.

It is very windy today again but will be cooling off a bit for a couple days.

Hope you are having a good day!

Loved that Shirl was so cute... need to share it on FB or need to find the book so that some of the grandkids can enjoy it
today was the birthday party for my great granddaughter... she had a very nice time after people went home my dd took mom and dad and baby (she is two with the new one coming we need to stop referring to her as the baby) and myself out for supper was a good meal a good day....
it's always a good day when you can spend time with family/friends
when I got there they were decorating using blue and white streamer's so I thought that was how they were going to announce
the baby's sex but was told nope that they used the colors of Cinderalla's dress as that was "the baby's" favorite princess but that there was a hint would just have to look for it... there may have been a hint but I didn't pick up on it until it was pointed out to me... the cupcakes had nuts in them .. and I didn't pick up on it
need to go make a list of those on line tax things and see what I can do
can't believe that I have procrastinated this badly did call my friend and still no call back but she might be overly busy :?
Velda doing fine with the drops the clinic I go to had a option I could get their drops at 65 $ 3 drops per day as opposed to almost 200 per eye and I think 4 drops per day 130 sounded a lot better than 400 so doing the combined drops in one
you all have a good day

The winds are nasty tonight! There is a wildfire in Los Angeles that was set by someone yesterday. They are looking for the guy who they say is still in the hills where the fires are and may be hiding in one of the caves in the area. Maybe karma will get him first. These crazy pyromaniacs wait until the high winds start up and then set the fires knowing they will blow out of control.

I especially hate fires in the spring knowing there are lots of baby wildlife that can't escape. So sad.
