It was an odd and end day did I accomplish much not really but the recycling is in the truck the thing that resides on the desk is on the desk instead of on floor of bedroom (if the slide would have cleared it it might have stayed there ) garbage out plants sorta watered haven't finished them forgot I was doing it did a couple pages in the word search magazine... talked with a good friend actually two... feed birds got Shadow outside a few times... hard work outside and then in and back to sleep... had a chili dog with the chili I bought from Wendy's the other day... tasted really good and just the right amount... text my brother and sister in law to get idea's from them no response not sure if they thought it didn't require a response or not but I thought it did...
that was beyond scary Velda hope they figure it out and Sue same with you hope the appointment gave you some ideas as to how the eye will be fixed
Wow Martha that is crazy makes you wonder what the guy is thinking or not
have a friend that tells me that there is no added deaths than normal that all deaths are attributed to the virus to make it look worse... I pretty much disregard what she says
didn't make it to walmart perhaps tomorrow will need to out of milk and enough other things should go

Sheila, I have heard that from a lot of people as well. Had a guy tell me the other day that he isn't gonna get the vaccination because just as many people are dying from that as are dying from Covid. Another guy said that more people die each year from drug overdoses than from Covid this past year. Where do they get these crazy ideas??

Judy, I didn't just decide to stop the BP medicine. I was on half the smallest pills they make of Losartan and HCTZ. I began having terrible side effects including runs of palpitations each evening at same time and my BP was dropping so low after exercise that I was dizzy. My Dr made a decision to stop them and see. In fact the half life of that drug is under 4 days and I was close to 3 weeks out. All was well until last Friday afternoon. In fact after exercise that noon, my BP was 110/60. No one could have predicted this and all I saw agreed should not have happened as it did. We are trying to see what works , but I can tell you, today I feel like night and day different, like the cloud passed. And I'm following orders on only taking my BP twice a day. We will keep working on it and I'm going to be very careful watching after #2,vaccine in a week. I have reported what happened via ASafe at CDC. They indicated they may call me for more details.

Velda, I didn't think you made that decision--your doctor did.

I once was on a very long plane ride and had forgotten to take my morning BP pills. Then because it was a smaller plane and was packed, they made me gate check both of my suitcases, but my pills were all in the one suitcase I had planned to carry on. I got to my destination and was panicky because I was so buzzed feeling and had a horrible headache without my meds. Then of course, i could not even find a drinking fountain in the airport and finally found some place to buy a bottle of water. By the time I took my pills, it was 15 hours or so late (24 hours since last pills) and i really felt horrible and scared. Took me forever to feel normal.

Clarification:

Sorry I wasn't clear. The pharmacy where I got my shot is in a major shopping center here. People inside the pharmacy were all masked - LOL - "mostly": loose-fitting surgical masks, or masks worn below the nose.

But outside? Mostly people were unmasked (and if they were going into the pharmacy, they would only "mask up" at the door). When they would see me standing there (I was outside for the post-vaccination "waiting period", instead of inside which was very crowded) these unmasked people would come up to me and try to start a conversation, or pass by so close to me that I had to step aside to keep from getting my shoulders bumped (and it is a BIG parking lot - lots of room to pass me by six feet away - but it seemed no one could be bothered to give me my "six feet").

It was very surreal, but not surprising. I live in a town of "covid deniers", I guess they each wanted to share with me that they thought I was being foolish to be wearing a mask: "Hello! You know you don't need to. . ." I would spin on my heel and walk away without making any reply. It was really, really weird.

For the 1/2 hour I stood outside I felt like I was playing "dodgeball", with me dodging the people instead of a ball.

I don't know if this kind of thing is going on elsewhere, but it is going on here. The level of denial and stupidity is astonishing, and a bit frightening.

It made me think of the rodent parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, that makes a rodent lose their fear of cats:

Small wonder that the pandemic rages on, and that my two-county area has had one of the highest positivity rates in the state.
