Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Morning All, still cold on the shore but if the sun is shining the apartment is very warm. I have a programmable thermostat which I set when I moved in. I always seem to be manually adjusting it. I’ve checked the programming and it is correct. Looked at it again last night. I failed to set the present correct time originally. Note to Anita, lol. Hope your new apartment is on schedule. Does it have a balcony and what direction does it face? We will need pictures. Since Peggy didn’t send me Mac and cheese, it’s all I can think of. Found a crockpot recipe, have everything except cream cheese. Searched and you can freeze cream cheese. A fish spatula is a wonderful kitchen gadget. Be safe

Sunday

Almost noon here with bright sun! Finally a sunny day even though they are forecasting snow and rain tonight into tomorrow. But the cold news is that our temps are supposed to go up! Maybe some of my snow piles will melt. I’m running out of places to put it! I thinking maybe today Rascal and I should just get out for a drive. Not sure about our favorite walking area but maybe at least check it out. I think Rascal is as bored with being inside as I am! I just don’t do well in the cold. At least the extreme cold that we’ve had! At least I have the ice cleared away from my gate so I can at least get the car out! The rest of the driveway is still ice from the storm earlier in the week. At least between my neighbor and me we’ve complied with the borough’s rule for snow off the sidewalks! And the road crews have done a good job clearing the main roads so that’s a plus! So anyway, not even itty-bitty news from me today. Still scanning vaccine sites and on several waiting lists but nothing so far. So just trying to stay safe and only doing what I need to do outside of my little bubble! Stay safe and warm and hoping you have a good day.

It was nice to do something fun yesterday. The golf cart parade turned out pretty good. Lots of carts and lots of spectators, too. The sad part was shortly before it started, so did the winds. Thank heavens for the warmer weather, but the winds really were bad. I was upset to see some groups of about 10 sitting right next to each other in one of their sites without masks. But it's good to see as it reaffirms my being super careful. All the cart people I saw were masked. And you should have seen me try to keep my Mardi Gras mask on over my glasses and my regular mask lol. Sorry, I have no pictures so unless someone shares with me I can't share with you.

After I spend some desert time with Ty I intend to go do some cooking.

Good Morning!

Rain and melting snow here. I went out to empty tanks yesterday and got a surprise. The heated water hose was dripping at the camper connection. Had a tall block of ice under it! Downspout with roof melt is above a camper jack so had a huge icicle there as well!

Sheila, so kind of you to do for your sister and nephew, but I'd be worn out, too! All the food talk on here makes my mouth water! The last time I had macaroni and cheese was at a wedding - with lobster in it! Beth, golf cart parade sounds like fun except for wind.

Shirl, the studio apartments were finished on time. I did finally find a few pictures to see how they were decorating. One for rent site is saying availability in my building is May 15 - originally moved from July to May 3 so looks like might be a slight delay. I'll get over there someday! No elevators so I have a first floor corner apartment facing south and east. Yes, there is a balcony or whatever you call it on first floor.

Be safe and have a good day!

Shirl, mac and cheese is not something I make often. I decided to make it using Trisha Yearwood's recipe in the crock pot for company one time and it wasn't worth the effort. Kraft does a better job. I might try a different recipe sometime. I don't think her recipe calls for cream cheese. I think I would like a recipe more that used cream cheese.

I had bought some country style pork ribs the other day and put them in the oven with BBQ sauce today. They are still cooking because they weren't very tender after an hour.

The temperature is up to 64. If the sun would come out I think it would go to 70. No big plans for today. I wish there was something worth watching on TV.

Beth, glad you all were able to have your Mardi Gras Parade. I haven't seen any pictures from our campgrounds.

Good morning. Not too bad a day today. No sun but no rain either and it is supposed to get up to 52° today, we shall see. Not too much on my agenda today. Was going to go to the store but then realized it was the weekend LOL so will go tomorrow. Had breakfast and my shower so now mulling over if I want to do something or be a sloth......we shall see which wins out. Making salmon, cauliflower w/cheese sauce, and baked potato for dinner. Havent had salmon in a while. Because of it's high omega fats I try to have it a couple or three times in a couple weeks. I have been slacking lol

Yes, I sold my Motorhome. Since I am not working and living in it anymore on assignment, and Covid has restricted so much camping seemed like a wise choice. I had it on consignment for a while but those fools had it priced so high nobody would ever look at it. My contract with them was going to be up in a week so was making arrangements to go get it. So by a fluke my friend told another couple (that were also neighbors) that I was selling it and how nice it was. So they contacted me and wanted to buy it. I sent them to the RV webpage to look at the inside pics as they had seen it many many times in front of my house. They said hurry and go get it, we want it. They were worried someone would buy it up there but I told tham that would never happen. I only had a week left on my consignment contract. I had a neighbor take me up to pick it up, about 70 miles away. I found a place to store it only a couple miles up the road until they can come get it. Since the fire they have been living in a 5th wheel but are moving to Tennessee in June and want a Motorhome instead. So this all worked out. They were coming up this weekend but their dog has been super sick and in the doggy hospital so will probably be next week. They want to switch out rigs so they can sell their 5th wheel. They paid me for the MH already so that part doesnt enter into the deal. I am super happy it is going to a good home LOL I loved that MH but just not feasible right now. I have plenty to do around my house yet and then there will be yardwork so it is a good time to sell. Will decide as time goes on if I buy a smaller unit for just camping.

Sorry to hear that you have sold your motorhome, Karen - but also glad you were able to sell it.

I remember the first time you showed me the inside - I think it was at the Eagle Lake GTG. I was blown away - I had never seen the inside of a Class A before, and I thought it was really, really lovely - and looked more like an apartment than a motorhome!!

I (almost) allowed myself to have 'Motorhome Envy', but, really, my teeny-tiny Jayco suits me to a "T". Sadly, I haven't even laid eyes on her for a long time - but 'Hope' is stored inside, in a warehouse type building that is locked up at night, so she should be fine. I feel very fortunate to have found this storage place - no 115 degree northern California sun to fade her paint and rot her plastic.

I look forward to taking her out again. . . but don't know when that might be. I definitely won't be going anywhere before I can be vaccinated, and that isn't looking like it will happen anytime soon.

But, hopefully, this will change.

Good evening gals!

Just got home from work an hour ago. Was kind of slow today which it typical for a Sunday.

I have had to snooze or block friends on FB too, but the worst is having customers at work that rant about stuff I don't agree with. I try to change the subject or ignore their comments. Very hard to do sometimes!

I ordered a book from the library on walking for health. I picked it up the other day and it is 256 pages! What could possibly be written about walking in that many pages!?? I really need to get out and walk tho. I ordered a fitness tracker that I should get tomorrow. Maybe that will motivate me some. It is a cheap one but I don't need all the bells and whistles. It will be interesting to see how many steps I do at work each day.

Still behind on housework, my autobiography classes, and 3 weeks behind on church services. Also need to work on taxes and the golf spreadsheet. I have two days off this week and two short shifts so hope I can get caught up with some of that! Next week I actually have 3 whole days off! Yay!

Are we supposed to be getting a $600 stimulus check now, or is that just a rumor I heard? I got a letter about it last week but no sign of any money yet. Maybe I misread the letter.

One of the stray kitties was crying all night under my bedroom window. I finally got up at 3:30am and put a dish of food out there for him. There was still food in the bowl on the deck last night but I think Spooky guards that pretty well. I should go out now and refill all the bowls.

Nothing new in the weather department here. Sunny, 75 and beautiful. :D

Karen, right now is a good time to sell RV's and trailers. They are a hot commodity right now. Someone told me that they figure when things get back to "normal", people will decide to dump their rigs so there might be some good deals later. I still want to get a class B/camper van but that can wait awhile. Once I retire in 2 years, I will still cut hair part time in the winter and then take the summers off to travel.

I better get to doing something around here, and eat supper. Have a good night!

Barbie, did you get the $600 stimulus approved a few months ago. If not, I suppose you could have gotten a letter about that, but I think it may have been a scam. Congress is still working on the next stimulus payment, but not approved yet.

I haven't made homemade mac and cheese in years. I avoid things I need to make with milk unless I feel comfortable using almond or coconut milk. I should avoid all dairy. But I do cheat.

I am not a what a person would call a fussy eater... there are a few foods that don't entice me and others that are ok and if I have a choice will not eat but if no choice will do so and not complain ... Mac and cheese is one of them... why I don't know cause I love pasta and cheese and all the ingredients it could be that I've not had one that made me want more... will check out the recipe... but as much as I cook here probably won't try it right now that is...
I don't cook much for myself more of a open a can of soup or plan a meal and then delay long enough that it's open the can of soup.. sandwiches and graze through out the day I do try to fix one meal a week today should have been it turned out not that can of soup was good though...
a relaxed day with church on line scripture reading and napping then a couple chapters reading...
chat should be on soon doubt mom will make it she just wasn't sounding full of energy when I talked to her a few minutes ago
you all have a pleasant day tomorrow
think I will do catch up stuff plants needing watered inside and out declutter the table and chair as that is where some of the stuff ended... :o
need to decide if I want to fill one of the larger tanks again or just utilize the smaller one... I much rather have the larger ones empty for traveling...
and water needed guess it sounds like a busy day :o

Beth, I did get that last one awhile back. Gonna try to find the letter I just got and reread it. I know I heard on the news that CA is planning to send out their own $600 stimulus check soon, but I don't think that is what the letter was referring to.
