Good morning Shirl and Everybody from sunny CT.
California red grapes have been on sale for $.99 for several weeks and I bought more then we could eat. So, I got out my dehydrator and “voila” I have plump raisins for my oatmeal this morning! Enjoy today. Peggy

Good morning Shirl, Peggy and all who follow. This job is putting things into perspective. I'm feeling my age lol. I'll never consider Amazon or those type jobs again if my feet and legs are having trouble with 8 hours. I'm sure it'll get better. It has to. I think yesterday was worse because I was outside on door duty almost my entire shift. We can only allow 10 people in the store at a time, so someone has to control that. Yesterday me. So standing on cement all that time. Luckily the customers are great. Today I believe I'll be doing some of what I was hired to do. Fingers crossed. I can be filler anywhere, but it would be nice to do what I came to do.

Meantime, Ty and I are still snuggling. Peggy those grapes were quite a deal! Yum.

Beth, won't they let you put a stool or something to sit on during door duty? I don't have a problem with walking but just standing in one place for a long time kills me.

We have another sunny, warm day. It's already 77. I am not looking forward to the first freeze. Our Christmas campout is always the first weekend in December and 2 years ago it snowed. I don't have any plans for today. I'm baking another pan of cornbread in case I decide to make dressing. I beat the neighbors dog to my Sunday paper. He has torn it up the last 2 Sundays. She told me to run him off if he comes in my yard but I'm not going to do that.

My son put in a request for a 7-up pound cake. I might make a run to the Dollar Store for 7-up.

Martha, I didn't think about fencing in the tree itself. I do have one of the wall connectors for my big gate right next to where the tree goes so I might look at that. Right now I use the big gate to keep him from the glass TV stand, wifi equipment & the larger kitchen opening. If I can figure out how to secure the kitchen, I'm sure I can figure out something for the TV stand & equipment. He's like your son - born last Nov, walking at 9 months, climbing on everything & curious as he can be about what he can get into. He's a lot of fun to watch as he always surprises me with what he comes up next. Thank goodness he's cute!

Cleaning house this morning. Made beef stew yesterday to take to son's house & will pick up a cake to celebrate SIL's citizenship a little later on. DD & SIL will then stay with me this week.

Better get back to cleaning. Everyone have a safe day.

Morning has broken….and it’s now late afternoon and I have accomplished absolutely nothing. I take that back…I did clean the kitchen floor because I just about lost my socks walking across it! November has been a rough month for me. Three of the men who I taught with in Avon have died. Two from COVID and one from cancer. All of them were 72 and the two who passed from COVID were in excellent health. It really hit all of us, who were on the faculty, hard because we were a close bunch of teachers. Then all the funerals were for family only so there really doesn’t seem to be any closure. But with the present rate of infections in South Dakota I doubt I would have gone to any of them. That’s four people who I know that have died from the virus since October 12th. When is it going end? I feel like running away but where?

So that’s my itty bitty depressing news. We’ve cancelled a family Thanksgiving….I see all commercials on TV and feel I should be getting ready for a meal. Guess we’ll probably have a chicken breast and Stove Top stuffing meal here.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

I was going to suggest a stool, also. You need one you can sit on that makes you exactly as high as if you were standing. Can use it at cash register and other places. And how about a shorter one instead of bending over??

Changed bedding today and have two loads of laundry going. Otherwise, just got class work to do and am running behind as usual. Nice sunny day at least, and even had to open some windows and turn AC on briefly.

sitting here wishing the propane to the buddy was turned on getting a bit chilly but when I go out to turn it off will do that... which I probably should do soon..
an a typical Sunday church came home and did a zoom meeting with church ladies in Idaho... lunch read scriptures and nap then made a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich tasted yummy
turned the genny on a bit early has it was really cloudy day so it didn't charge up the batteries as well but fully changed now and now I have that new radio so can't complain about no sound... Shadow used to bark at stuff he doesn't do that any more... rarely hear him bark...
Hopefully Tina will heal soon and return home quickly
going to go up to my sister's on Tuesday but since it's not a long drive I won't really have to stop... unless mother nature insists
 so feel pretty safe going up
you all have a great day do what you need to to be safe

I'm not going to ruffle feathers about outside as I won't, most likely, be out there that long. I think I was out a couple hours today. I actually got to do a lot of what I was hired to do. Surprise lol. And my boss and I got along well today. I had two short spells on the register today and discovered the two registers don't work exactly the same. Weird lol

Pat, I am so very sorry about your friends. Hugs to you. I have to say I feel much better being in California. Not a single complaint from anyone about having to stand in line to come in the store. Not a single person refusing to wear a mask. It's refreshing. And makes me feel the most comfortable I have since Covid stuck. It's still dangerous, obviously, but it's good being around people automatically doing the right thing.

I have the next two days off. I never intended to make the long drive back to Pahrump for at least a few more weeks, but I might make the drive to see what I can do about getting a phone/service where at least I get texts and phone calls. First I'll drive the 30 miles to Furnace Creek and see if I get service there. If I do I might just make that drive once a week to check for messages, etc. The bad wifi is keeping me in contact, so all isn't lost. I even streamed a couple tv shows, which people told me I wouldn't be able to do. I won't tell them it's working for me and have the signal get weaker lol It sometimes starts throttling then I just close it and come back later.

I was hoping to lose some of the pounds I've gained. Maybe I will, but having meals prepared for me might not make it easy. But my snacking is cut way down.

Time for dreamland. Night all.
