Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Mornin' ladies~~~

Hope everyone is doing well today. Day to hang around the CG, other than going for gas for tomorrow's trek to Texarkana. Space heater in usethe last couple of nights. I called the dealer this morning that replaced the propane regulator, and I'll be going back in the A.M.

Fall colors are slowly getting to Arkansas. I'm enjoying seeing different pics in FB, but glad I'm heading south.

Have a good day ladies and stay safe wherever you are.

Afternoon Cheryl, what a weekend. The ocean traffic was back up all day because of a jumper on the bay bridge. This is the second time for this man in a month. I wish I could post a picture because I can not believe how he climbed so high or how the police got him down. He definitely needs help and do not understand how he is not being treated. His actions are a threat to himself and people trying to help him. Felt like a caged lion this morning so left to run errands. Irmi can I pitch a tent on your lot. :D

Good morning. I am at Laura's until Saturday. Big things happening for me. I made an offer on a house in a 55+ park in Roseburg. Since the fire you cant touch anything in Medford or surrounding cities. Prices were high before but now outrageous. Roseburg is about 100 miles north of where I lived but still in southern oregon area. Got this house for a reasonable price but will be replacing the carpet and putting in vinyl windows. Inspection is this Thursday. If no major issues this should be a go. Lots I want to do to it and the yard is not my style but all good things in time. Then some serious shopping will happen as I have no furniture LOL Need to remember I am a gal on a budget. It definitely is not the same kind of park I was used to but the houses are kept up and the location is fine. I start thinking about all the little things I need to get (which add up) but so many of you have been super generous that this will surely help. My storage unit is untouched and I have some dishes and kitchenware, towels, etc out of my Motorhome that will do for now. It is amazing when I consider what I had and what I have now. But I still thank God I got out with 5 minutes to spare. Emma and I are safe but getting settled is my prime goal. I will post some pictures when I finally get in there. Going to look at carpet samples now as it really needs new carpeting so that is first on my list. Will keep you all posted on my progress ha ha

I said Rabbits shortly after midnight on the 1st. Just didn’t get around to posting on the roll call. September went by in a flash, but I’m getting terribly depressed with the self-quarantine crap, but cases have been rising in our state. This summer my outings consisted of two pontoon rides, went to the Ashley and Ryan’s reception for a couple hours and sat outside. A couple of girl’s nights where we sat around two 6’X3’ tables that were pushed together so we could socially distance. Last Monday night I went to Bronc’s flag football game in Yankton and it was the first time I had been in Yankton since March 12th. Watching first and second graders play football is quite entertaining. Bronc retrieved a fumble, took off the wrong directions and just about made a touchdown for the opposing team! Made the Wal-Mart stock up trip also. Almost everyone had on a mask. I had a list and should have been in and out in about a half hour, but they had rearranged the store and it took me a lot longer than I expected and I came home without some of the things I wanted. Guess another Wal-Mart box will be delivered this week!

Missy and I had planned to make a trip to the Black Hills to see Beth in September but at the Covid cases started ramping up we decided against it. Wish Beth could have stopped here on the way to her sisters, but I understand that she was on a mission and trying to make as few contacts as possible.

The swimming pool is put away for the year and Miss Haddie is not happy. I really should empty my flowerpots, but I hate to do that until it freezes. Just can’t see babying them all summer and then ripping them out before they freeze. I have a few Fall decorations outside but I don’t think I’m going to purchase any pumpkins…it appears that the high school kids are already in pumpkin smashing mode.

It’s been really dry here and that’s not good news for harvesting crops. Sometimes a combine head hits a rock that sets off a spark and the whole combine and field is on fire. It was cool all last week and is supposed to get up to the 80’s some days this week.

Have a good month. Always reading…just not much news to post. Karen, Congratulations on you new home.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Karen, Such good news. My youngest daughter is Queen of the yard sale shoppers in our family. Lol. We give her our orders, a rake, hoe, cat carrier, plant stand, etc. She shops in nice neighborhoods and gets great bargains. Might be an option for you. Good luck.

Hello Everybody,
Pat, so nice to hear from you. Keep smiling under your mask and keep washing your hands. You’re going through the rough
patch that CT went through earlier.

Karen, happy to hear that you found a house. I hope the inspection goes well and you can move in soon.

I took care of business today: got my flu shot and mailed in my ballot for a new president.
Enjoy today. Peggy

Congratulations Karen. Will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for good out comes. DPF hope that the virus backs off in your neck of the great west. Both you and Missy deserve a trip now and again. Find some lovely B&B or Air B7B and go enjoy.

Glad that Beth made it safely to the midwest and her sister. Let the vacations from job commitments begin.

Jane and I spent three days at an outside sort of chilly dog show. Jane showed well and is looking pretty good in the ring. She got several nice compliments and picked up two Reserve Winners placements. Her sister picked up two more points by the end of the weekends. Next weekend we go back to the same show site but for a different club. This time we will be staying in the Roadtrek.....the Trek left this morning to be winterized. I followed most of the directions but those low point drains looked really down low and it is still chilly out for Gray Haired Ladies. I am still working on my learning curve and adding to my lists of things I know but not planning on adding winterization yet. The shop owner did say he would walk me through the steps when I picked it up later this week in time to pack up and leave for the dog show. I will still be able to use the gray and black tanks and will carry a supple of fresh water to drink, cook and wash up with along with some RV antifreeze to add to the tanks.....

Off for now, It is time to trim some doggy toe nails.....After I find where they try to hid.

Karen, hope your house purchase goes through.

I have the attention span of a nat. I have been trying for a week to remember to fertilizer the Mums I bought 2 years ago. I came in, filled a jar with water, put liquid fertilizer in it and sat it down to put clothes in the dryer. Three hours later I remembered I didn't water the Mums. I always thought you bought a pot of Mums in the fall, they died and next year you buy some more. The 6 plants I bought 2 years ago on sale have filled a 14 inch pot. They bloom all year long. The pot they are in is falling apart but I'm afraid to mess with them. The next time I go to Walmart I will have to get them a new pot. I need to go get cat food for the outside cats but don't want to go to town.

Still watching the weather for the next storm. Wednesday or Thursday will have to move vehicles and equipment unless it goes more to the East. Right now they have almost all of Louisiana in the cone. I am getting tired of this.

Karen~ Congrats on the new place! Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Martha~ Some mums are perennials. You probably got those and didn't know it.

And Pat~ nice that you got to spend some time with friends and family. I can imagine the hoots and hollers at Bronc when he was running the wrong way. Memories!

Pat, you know I wanted to stop. I did wave lol. Karen, that is exciting. I hope the inspection goes well and you can start making the place your own. Martha, this storm season needs to come to an end!

My sister, bil and I went to the apple orchards today. We all crossed our fingers that they wouldn't be too busy for us to want to go in and we were in luck. We weren't thrilled with things at the one we thought we wanted to go to so went back to another that we liked much better. We all bought apples, but the "seconds" didn't have much variety yet, so Diane and Bob will go back later for a big lot of their favorite kind in a week or so. Diane will make lots of apple sauce. Then we bought a dozen fresh baked apple cider donuts. I've put 4 in my freezer for treats later. Also purchased a quart of fresh made apple cider and Diane and I had hot apple cider tonight. I almost want to go back and get a quart to bring with me. It's the best apple cider hot or cold. It matched my memories. I have good memories of living in this area.

We got to Cottage Grove about 2pm. The drive was beautiful thru the mountains! Did see a lot of burn areas and saw Karen's old park as we drove by. Candiss's ex-husband met us at her new house and helped unload the truck. Then he bought us dinner. I am beat and my lower back and shoulders are really sore. Tomorrow will be mostly a down day for me, to recuperate. So glad we are finally here!

Karen, I hope everything goes good with the home inspection. Moving will be a breeze :D. Finding new things for the house will hopefully be fun. You can make the yard the way you want it next spring.

Got my airbed all set up. Hopefully it has no leaks! One of the dogs is on it with me now, or rather under the blanket curled up next to me. :D

It is cool here and feels wonderful!

Beth, I want to get some fresh apples when I get back home. There are two mountain towns that have lots of Apple orchards and festivals. I want to make apple crisp. I spent a few years when I was young living on an apple orchard. Great memories!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

am tired!!! shouldn't be but it is what is... made it to Ogden safe and sound went out to supper with dd and sil went to liberty burgers...they have a yummy drink if I recall peach with ginger and basil not sure of the other ingredients though...but it was a yummy drink....
took the truck up and left it at the shop hopefully it will be done quickly...got a text from my niece asking when I will be back as mom has a drs appointment for blood work on Friday wasn't in my plans to go over on Friday but if I am home guess I will have to rethink it.. I was giving a thought to making banana bread as I totally forgot to bring the bananas with me and they will be so over ripe...then I get a text from sister in law telling me about this appointment mom as I'd already talked with mom to see if she needs someone to go with her or what she maintains she doesn't I tend to let her do as much as she can just know that there are some things she has a hard time doing vacuuming would be one of them and going up and down those stairs to the washer and dryer is tough anyway let alone if you are almost 94. and that she has an appointment on the 21 will hopefully be gone by then but niece said she was planning on going with her to that appointment which mom said she would like someone to go with her as she isn't totally sure where to find it... so that is taken care of hopefully...
have a lot to do to get ready to go though... plus I need to finish the must finish projects... which is grandson's afghan and great granddaughter's quilt... really want to have them finish and here it is almost 10:30 not done my 4 rows of that afghan so guess I will say good night and go crochets
