Now for Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Now for Thursday

Another day. Made a drive into Kentucky yesterday. Came back north with a very used Roadtrek 190P to park in my driveway. After seeing some very bright and shiny ones that were priced with bight and shiny high numbers and a couple that gave me the creeps inside, I went with the one with reasonable mileage, that needs some work but is basically clean inside and out. Now to head down to my favorite mechanic and let him know that I will be stimulating his economy. It needs work on suspensions, etc. but was priced to leave me the cash to do fixes. My three weeks of adventures with Facebook Market place (both the selling and the buying) and RVTrader have now drawn to a close... It was interesting to experience the process from both sides. I now can throw a lot of notes away and get back to reading my books, kayaking, hiking with dogs and avoiding undertaking any serious projects.

Congrats, Tina! Glad it all worked out for you selling your A and you finding your new chariot. Not easy during a pandemic with distancing, masks, etc.!

How exciting. I'm wishing you many wonderful adventures in your new-to-you RT.

I'm still laying in bed. There's no hurry to check on the store so I can be a bum. Maybe I'll take Ty to the cemetery for a run. He deserves it.

Happy Thursday!

Congrats Tina! Hope you found a real keeper and will be happy with her for a long time! Can't wait to see pics!

I am still messed up on what day it is! I was thinking all day yesterday that it was Thursday. I am surprised I was able to get my books from the library since their website said they are closed on Tues and Weds. I need to remember that I have my dentist appointment tomorrow morning at 7am (Friday!). So my Amazon orders don't come until tomorrow either. That's OK.

Lola is hungry (or so she thinks) and is laying by me being very affectionate. That is the only time she is like that. She really isn't starving. She has food in her dish but as soon as she can see a tiny bit of the bottom of the bowl between the kibble, she thinks she is gonna starve to death soon! I like to have her finish it all so it doesn't go rancid. I try to put any leftover kibble on top of the new food I give her so she will eat that first.

I didn't get to sleep until just after 3am and woke up at 9am so I think there will be a nap in my day sometime.

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Congrats on the new-to-you vehicle, Tina. Sounds like you made a good choice!

Got lots of work to do today, but am going to get my brand-new bike out and go for a ride. I need to make some phone calls also, with very weak cell service here, so maybe I will ride to where I can get better service.

Enjoying the chilly breezes off of the Pacific!!

Congratulations Tina on the new RV! Many happy travels ahead.
We started our day with an early dentist appointment for son Chris for 2 fillings. I dropped him at home ( his knees still sore from fall a month ago), then I went to Costco, Napa auto and our local grocery. We are set for couple weeks.
I use USPS Informed delivery and today it said I was Getting Chris’s 2 packages of Rxs. Well they were not in mail. So I dug out my password book and went to the actual tracking site. At the site, even though the email notice said they were delivered Thursday, that in fact one is delayed leaving Los Vegas and the other is in Sacramento! It also said give it a week more to see if they arrive. Why would they say Thursday July 30 when in fact one is still in Las Vegas. Makes their so called informed delivery notice pretty useless. Sheesh. Hopefully they will Arrive soon as one was a rush delivery supposed to be here by 28th! I worry about RXs being left in hot mail box so get my exercise Checking box daily until it’s actually filled.
Our temps have been 99 to 102 all week and warmer they say for weekend. Sure glad we don’t have Barbara’s temps. Don’t know how you put up with 120!
My son suggested seafood salad in croissant for dinner, so I picked up the salad at my local grocery where they make it fresh daily, and he had his croissant and I used a big romaine lettuce leaf. Made a good supper on a warm evening.
Someone in one of my Leisure Travel Van Facebook pages just started a Northern California get together group. So far just a few of us, but we are suggesting laces we could meet or might like to camp. I look forward to meeting them for some somewhat local camping. It will be fun to see the newer models some have. So glad I stumbled on Leisure Travel Vans back in early 2005. They are among the few left under local small ownership, as many companies who did the Sprinter vans have either gone bankrupt or sold to big conglomerates. I can still reach the company and get answers after 15 years.
Stay safe and cool or warm depending on your climate. Happy camping and travels.
