Muggy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Muggy Sunday

Postby Colliemom » Sun Jul 26, 2020 11:57 am

Good afternoon. Waiting for some primer on a craft project to dry, so I can continue on, so thought I would pop in. Cloudy and muggy here, rain coming hopefully. Strong cold front to follow which will drop us into tbe 70’s for this week. Every body‘s fready for fall. We are tired of this hot weather we keep getting.

O’Sharon, hate fo say it, but you will probably get this out your way, once the front pushes it east. Was just reading an article in Trailer Life about Jim Thorpe, PA. Sounds like a neat place to visit. Pat, was so nice seing you post. Miss your posts on life at the ranch. How’s Bronc these days? Tina, congrats on selling tbe Vegas. I’ve always had good luck selling stuff on FB marketplace. Have fun looking for new wheels to adventuring with. I sometimes think I would like to sell my trailer and find a small drivable RV. Barbe, you are on a purging roll. That’s what I did too before and after I mived here. Ine nly needs what one uses, especially if you don’t entertain or have use for stuff.

I’m slowly getting things ready to roll here. Can’t do much else for right now. Down to the last batch of things like clothes and food to load. My fridge repairman is coming back tomorrow to fix the fan he discovered wasn’t working right, after installing the new relay. Sure don’t want to come home to a fridge and freezer full of spoiled food, especially the freezer.

Otherwise nothing else doing here right now. Have a nice day and stay safe.

Good afternoon Sue & everyone!

Sue, thanks for starting our day! Have fun on your trip!

Tina, so happy you were able to sell your motorhome and now see what will suit you for the continuation of your rv-ing trips.

Barbie, I hope things settle down for you. We miss you when you're not here.

Martha, are the storms missing you?

Sheila, when will head back to Q?

It's warm in MD, around the mid 90's with little to no breeze, but it is summertime. Tomorrow could be a few degrees warmer. Because our rig is on the larger size, it seems whenever friends meet, and because we do have the larger unit and I love to cook and entertain, I don't dare purge because I use everything in here at one time or another. Church was this morning and we've had about the same attendance for the last three weeks. Today was the third Sunday I've played and we will leave after Labor Day weekend to head south again. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Irmi, it seems like you just went North. Hurricane Hanna went way South so we only got rain bands. We got about 2 inches of rain yesterday. It's raining off and on today but I don't think it is from the storm. At least the rain is holding the temperature down. There is something out in the Atlantic that they say has a 90% chance of developing but can't say which way it will go. It can go somewhere else too. I have a campout this coming weekend and I would really like to go.

I need do some purging around here. I'm not making much headway with my pantry but I can see some room in the freezer. Growing up we learned to make do and not waste things. That didn't get passed down to kids today.

Good afternoon. Big time heat here 106 right now, geez it was just 104 how high will it go. I ventured outside and was like being hit with a blow dryer on high. I didnt stay long out there that is for sure. Got some house chores done this morning and the outside watering and have been inside ever since. Doing a load of laundry right now, washing my bed linens and bedspread. That about sums it up for today LOL

Now going to try to find something to watch on one of the streaming networks I have. Sometimes I cant tell if I will like the show or not by their description so have to give it a try but if after about 15 minutes it doesnt work for me I am on the hunt again. I am kind of picky about my shows. I dont like science fiction, horror, comedy or war movies...ok so that kind of limits me LOL

It was 92 here yesterday with a heat index over 100 dew point was 74! I'm picky too about what I watch too. I don't care for horror or most of what they call comedy now. I watched an episode of something called Workin' Moms on Netflex and thought if there are really people in this world who behave this way I don't want to know or watch!! I watch a few shows on cable, Young Sheldon is one, the little girl who plays his sister is really good. There are a couple of shows on PBS we watch like Father Brown and the Call the Midwife series, but mostly I read books on my iPhone that I get from Amazon. Right now I'm reading a book written in the twenties called The Keeper of the Bees by Gene Stratton-Porter. I am really enjoying it and i think it was like .99 for the Kindle version. I just don't like to read an actual book any more, I can adjust the print size and the light on my phone. Hope it cools down this week for us all.

I started watching The Big Bang Theory when it came on and now I watch Young Sheldon. I think the writers for these show are very good. I probably watch PBS more than anything else and if it wasn't for the Weather Channel I would cancel DirecTv. Most of the other shows are stupid and I seldom watch a movie. My sister likes the Hallmark channel and when she is camping with me I am almost glad when we can't get the satellite. She also wants to watch the baking shows like anyone is ever going to make those cakes.
