Warm Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm Wednesday

Postby BarbaraRose » Wed Apr 15, 2020 12:54 pm

Good morning gals!

Looks like it is gonna be a warm one today. I am out on the porch and it is already pretty warm out here for this early in the day, and no wind so far. Temps will cool off more closer to the weekend.

Didn't do much yesterday so I need to dig up some motivation for today. I did work a little bit on my "cat" gourd. Still waiting for a few little things I ordered to finish it. My friend Debbie is really excited to get it.

I had to cut Lola off from the ham because it gave her instant diarrhea. So I get to eat all the rest of it myself. It is almost already gone tho.

I better at least get the trash to the dumpster before it gets any warmer out. Have a good day and stay safe!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It was cool yesterday and got down to 49 last night. It has only gotten up to 68 today. It got kind of cool inside last night but I managed to not turn the heat on. It is another breezy day. Yesterday I went and sprayed 2 gallons of weed killer in Maurice. It was a little too windy to be spraying but got tired of waiting for no wind. The weeds were tall where I was spraying so just sprayed down wind so it wouldn't blow on me. I might go mow over there tomorrow since we are suppose to have rain starting Saturday.

I have done nothing today. The truck could really use a wash since it has mold growing on it. It's a little too cool to be washing a vehicle today. We are only half way through this month and I kind of doubt May is going to be better. We have nice weather and cheap gas and can't go camping. It's going to be a long spring.

We reached 82 yesterday here in Sacramento region. It's 78 at just after noon. But we too are supposed to cool back down and rain by Monday . Not doing much here though I have been walking on my treadmill some. My machine has sat too long ( it freezes up when it sits and it's been about 8 years) so I can't make masks and bandana just didnt work for me. So a friend is making me 2 masks today. I do need to get to store for a few things. We got Disney channel on our Roku, so have watched several good movies recently, including the Pixar movie, Small Foot, which was released early due to the pandemic. Pretty good movie. Not much else going on, just waiting for the pandemic to ease and CA to open back up.
Have safe travels if you are on the road and everyone be careful out there.

Good day today! Not only did I get my SS check auto deposited, but I also got my stimulus check. Put the stimulus check on my Visa payment. Yea! Did the rest of you get yours yet?

I've really been sleeping in lately--like sleeping until noon. I have tried getting to sleep earlier and forcing myself to get up earlier, but I am having serious problems getting to sleep and then I wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep. Last night, I got to bed at 1 am, but did not fall asleep until about 3. Then I woke up at 5 and did not get back to sleep until 7 am, so I was really groggy this morning and gave up and slept until noon. I am going to keep trying to get to sleep at a reasonable hour and to wake up earlier each day, but it is hard when you are groggy.

Part of the problem is that the nights have been warm--like lows of 70-75. That means I need AC and it is noisy and blows cold air on me, but I can't sleep when I am hot. Luckily it cooled off today and low is going to be 55 tonight and I am headed into Georgia on Sunday, so maybe cooler nights will help as I head north.

My stimulus check was deposited into my checking account today, Judy. I'm sure it'll be gone soon. But today I actually filled the motorhome tank at $1.199! Just over $45 for just shy 38 gallons! Awesome! It looks like my next fill will be over $2 again. But it'll still be the least expensive gas for any of my journeys up or back. I'm glad the prices haven't jumped back up yet.

Day two Of my northern jaunt under my non-existent belt. I didn't go as far because I'm stuck tomorrow heading into snow, etc. I'll just drive the short distance to what would have been today's stop (but I actually reserved an rv park just now for tomorrow's storm, yep, I'm a wimp).

Oh, and Barbie, I'm already missing the warm weather. It was about freezing when I woke up and expect the same tomorrow morning. It'll be in the 20's the next couple mornings. And probably more of the same in Keystone for awhile.

Judy, it sounds like you are on my sleep schedule except no one is going to let me sleep til noon. Have you tried having a fan blow on you if you don't run the air conditioner? My air conditioner is over the beds and is noisy. I have a small fan that doesn't make any noise. Just having the air moving helps.

I don't know if I got a check or not. I don't get into my account often enough so the passwords expire and I got tired of going to the bank to get everything reset.

My sister thinks she found someone that wants to buy some inherited land we have an interest in. My niece inherited her dad's part and she doesn't want to sell. My sister thinks that we can force her to sell. Not sure where she gets her legal information from. I would rather not start a family feud.

I had zucchini slices cooked in the air fryer tonight. Louisiana Fish Fry Products came out with a seasoned coating mix for air fryers. I wouldn't say it was better than deep fried but was pretty good.

I made it a whole hundred miles... the RV mechanic was later coming than what he planned on so that put me behind and then we had issues with hitching up the trailer just didn't seem like it was down far enough.. finally up it went again and guess something was on the ball and if came off and then it went down further didn't see what it was... so it was after 1 by time I left and was hot and tired so just stopped in Needles for the night hopefully the winds won't by high tomorrow just suppose to be in the 10-15 mph range will hope that is true cause when it comes to wind I am a whimp. Took a quick look looking good whew!!!
tried to check my bank the wifi was so slow I finally pulled out my mifi but then when I went into the bank it was on a different page so finally went out will try in a bit..got here plugged in and took a nap...
called my son had hopes that I could see him which perhaps we could have but another thing I am a whimp about is down town traffic so guess I won't do it... his company removes the "uglies" in a building iron all that undesirable stuff and they have a big contract in St George... so he is there week days home for the weekends. they were suppose to be on a cruise this week guess it will be a redo ...so tomorrow will try to make it to Cedar City like I told son if I coming down can go from Cedar City to Needles then one would think I could make it from Needles to Cedar City going back up right??? but then it is up hill now might slow me down... Its been a cold spring normally by time we are ready to leave the desert it's in at least the 90's if not higher the last couple of nights if I had a working heater would have turned it on... although here in Needles it is still hot outside or at least according to my indoor outdoor therometer not sure I always trust it  phone says its cooler but still in 70's at 10:00
guess I ought to go check the bank out .... was shocked it was there!!! wow

I just checked on my account and I got my stimulus check today too. Hoping to start getting my unemployment checks soon too.

Was a decent day today altho quite warm. Pushing 90. Feels nice out tonight tho so will open the windows again.

There is a lot of noise outside tonight. Not sure what it is. Sounds like construction noises about a mile or two away but that wouldn't be happening this late. Just a lot of crashing and banging noises. Never heard that before around here, day or night. I don't want to listen to that all night long.

Beth and Sheila, stay safe on the roads and with the weather.
