Snowy Sunday Afternoon

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Snowy Sunday Afternoon

What! It’s 3:45 here in MI and nobody’s posted today yet. Guess you are all busy.

Actually my day has been a bit busy as well. There was church this morning, stop at Lowe’s to pick up the vinyl tile glue I forgot to get the other day as well as a few paint color chips. Then went to Home Depot for few more. Want to repaint both bathrooms, just not sure what colors. I like greens, blues, beiges, thecool colors. But my living room and kitchen are sort of a blue green depending on how the light hits, and I don’t really want to go overboard on green. And the one bathroom is blue now, kind of getting tired of that, but we shall see. Did pick up somorlstouh. Then it was home, lunch, put up a new set of mini blinds in my office and took the dogs for a walk. Very fine, wet snow, coming down. Guess we are supposed to get about 3-6 inches.

Decided yesterday, that since that sun was shining so nice in that clear blue sky, rather than spend it inside doing house projects, it was time to hit that open road. So the dogs and I piled in the truck and meandered our way up to Mackinaw City. Took the county roads through the small villages, past snow covered fields, ice covered lakes, snowy woods and some beautiful vistas stretching into the distance. It was cold, temp holding steady at 13, with a little breeze. But didn’t stop us from going for a couple of short walks once we got there. Took a couple pics, which if I knew how to transfer to here on my IPad, would do so. After having some lunch, I turned the truck south on I-75 and headed for home. The clouds were roling in from the west, ahead of this next system, so it was time to say goodbye to the sunshine. It was great to be out enjoying that beautiful winter day.

Hi Sue & everyone!

Sue, I always enjoy your posts, especially when you mention your weather and how terribly cold it is and you take it all in stride.

We are finally having a warm weather day in Ocala and I think it is much deserved. I have been wearing leggings under my jeans and dressing in layers for the past couple weeks.

Steve & I met with Cheryl while she was staying in Ocala and spent a couple days together showing her this area. She is quite the woman and we just adore Punkin! We spent about ten days in Daytona dog sitting for my sister and bil while they were in Tampa while he was having and recovering from a bone marrow transfusion. He aced what lots of people get very sick from. Now that they are staying in a hotel close to the hospital, the dog is with them and we are back in Ocala.

It's just about dinner time, so I have to run. Be safe, wherever you are.

I started out the morning planning to stay put a couple days. Unhooked the car and the battery was dead :( So I hooked it back up and took the rig and car to Sam's Club where I got a new battery and decided to head further. I'm stopped at the Painted Rocks Petroglyph Site for tonight and maybe tomorrow. Rain is due in overnight, so if it's continuing through the morning, I'll stay put. Unless it's real light. I don't mind that. Writing this I realized I put full price in the envelope for tonight! So I just went back and added my pass number and am putting it in for two nights.

Barbie, vent away. I'd have a hard time working with either of those two. And yay for Lola!

Slept in some this morning. Missed the pancake breakfast.

Went to HD to pick up the new CO detector I ordered for the trailer and then to WM for a few things. Then headed to the trailer, removed the stuff from my trip to Q that I had forgotten to unload before and put in the CO detector and put on the new bin locks. Got home just in time for the rain to start. Nothing heavy but will take whatever we can get here. The wind is picking up now too.

Will probably watch the Oscars tonight.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

am on in the dark again  the generator started again....came in and plugged in my tree and immediately the panel went to red and I thought what why???? then thought I didn't plug it in... so out I go and plugged the cord in so there is power going to the 5th wheel... need to get used to it again like the radio is on on battery cause I forgot to switch it over to electric... or turn it off and do pandora ... even though the generator is a fairly quiet one inside it seems loud as it is on a thing on the rear bumper... not attached to the bumper but under it... day two for it to work ...
to church home and nap then read scriptures then Kerry came over for supper had this chicken dish... the same one that I made while Beth was here except that I forgot to get green onions but still tasted so good.
Beth I don't know if you remember Cricket on the old forum but we are friends on FB they just got a travel trailer... anyway I tagged you so you can tell her how to find us and be back on the forum
so that has been my day will take down my tree sometime this week about time but did want to see the lights on it...
