Back to gloomy skys and possible ice tonight. Oh well it is February.
Wow Judy I hope your tourist friends have been in this country at least 2 weeks. What a good experience though! I was traveling one summer to California and back with a young Standard Poodle who was not fond of strangers, especially men. When we would get out at rest stops we would be immediately surrounded by foreign tourists wanting to have their picture taken with him. I was really afraid he might hurt someone because they rushed to him so quickly and didn't understand what I was saying. I learned to not take him out of the car unless there was no one was near.

I am happy to say I suddenly gained my 2 pounds, now I want at least 7 more just in case. I was so freaked because the scale kept going down, I finally realized my scale might need a new battery.  Feeling releaved!!

Barbie, your blood is thinning out there in the sun! I also would have stayed in bed!

I went through a period when I was taking my blood pressure a couple of times each day. It kept going higher and higher, so I ended up at the doctor panicking. Blood pressure there was fine. Turns out a symptom of a failing battery in my blood pressure cuff was that it was failing. New battery did not help, so I went out and bought a new one--blood pressure went right back to normal!!

Been busy today catching up with all the phone calls I have not been able to make at Midway Campground. I had OK data, and did receive some phone calls, but had a very difficult time calling out. After trying to deal with my aunt and uncle's prescription coverage company, I am drained!!!

Watched four almost identical catamarans and two big sailboats go through the locks here. Also changed my bed and towels in bathroom, except I found out they removed the washer and dryers from this campground, so I will have to drive to an outside laundromat. I have four loads of saved-up laundry to do!!! Washed out a couple of pairs of undies to last me until I can get out. Using commercial laundries is one thing I dislike about my lifestyle!

I didn't do much today. It was gloomy here too. We had rain moving through most of the day. I don't think we got all that much. Parts of the state were under a tornado warning. My sister said it rained at her house all day and some places got hail. It got warm in the house but I didn't turn the air conditioner on. It going to get cold tonight. Two cool days and back to the 70's this weekend.

Guess I'll go to Lafayette tomorrow to get what I forgot yesterday. Trying to get all I need for my trip so I don't have so much to do last minute. I'm sure I'll be forgetting something.

I got the estimates for the barn work. The barn isn't too bad but the carport is going to be a lot. There are 5 posts that have rusted through at the bottom and the gutter is all rusted. I would rather not have the rvport coming down on my camper.
