Rise and Shine Saturday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rise and Shine Saturday!

Good morning gals! :D

Am still in bed but will be getting ready for work soon. So glad the sale is over but the work isn't over. Now I need to go thru what I still have in the porch and put that away so I can get that fixed up nice. I need to get my love seats out on the porch to sell them since I need to have someone remove my sliding door to get them out of the house first. Will be easier if someone buys them and wants to take them right away.

One of my neighbors is coming over tomorrow to help me put my swing together. That will be nice to have that for relaxing outside!

I brought my Jeep in yesterday to get the exhaust looked at. They said it all looks fine but think oil is leaking onto the exhaust and burning and that is what I am smelling. He said it looks like the oil is leaking from the valve cover gasket. Not a cheap fix. I think I will go to the other place I took my Jeep to and get a second opinion and price. The rattling I have been hearing turns out to be a loose wheel cover.

Have a good day! :)
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I rose then went back to bed lol

I guess fall will be doctors appts for me... Saw my new doctor again yesterday. Dermatologist scheduled for week after next. I'm still needing to hear from the hospital on openings for a mammogram and bone density test, which I'm hoping can be fit in before the beginning of Dec. Then I'll head out shortly after... Stopping for my audiology appt in early December. Back to my regular doctor late winter when I'll find all the results... Barring any major problems. And I'm hoping all the necessities with the dermatologist can be taken care of in the one visit.

My new couch is together in the casita. I wanted a love seat but the deal on this was too good to pass up. It's nice and cozy in there. Of course, I'm used to small spaces so it's perfect for me.

Barbie, good luck selling the love seats. The only used ones I could find here weren't in very good condition, unfortunately.

Lyn, please keep us in the loop re your lungs. We care.

Barbie, I rose and shone at about the time you did--very late, but it felt good to stay in bed and read the news on my cell phone, cozy in my down comforter!

Sunny last couple of days, and warmer also. Temps during the day at close to 40 today and lows just barely below freezing, all of which means I am using less propane. I did get my second small heater out and have both running 24 hours, so it is nice and warm in here. I also put window film on my two side-front windows, but the biggest problem is the big cab area. The cold air seeps in from there, but I hung my older comforter over the opening and draped it onto the floor, which helps a lot. I take it down during the day so I can see out, but it does help with the drafts on my feet at night.

Still waiting for results of my Thursday PET scan. I am hoping it is negative so I can head south to warmer places, but prepared if it means I need a biopsy through my ribs--ugh!

To give you an idea how little is on TV, I am watching LSU play Ole Miss. The election coverage has probably started on the local stations. I'm so glad that's over.

Judy, hope your tests are good so you can head South. It has been warmer here and is going back to the 70's next week. I use some insulated curtains I bought at Walmart to block off my cab when it's really cold. Curtains at Walmart aren't that expensive but a thick quilt works too.

I read online that a too hard or too soft mattress can cause sciatica so I took the memory foam pad off my bed. Laying on the sofa seems to help some. My neighbor says he sleeps on the floor. The cats are really concerned when I lay down on the floor. I haven't tried sleeping on the floor, it's really hard.

I would think twice about sleeping on the floor Martha... hard and hard to get up
got up a bit later than I should have gathered up clothes and garbage stopped off with garbage then on into town
for a shower and to do laundry... then over to a friends we watched a show she had taped called oh sure can't remember not one I normally watch.. the contestants are in costumes one was a lady bug one a fox one a rottie and one a tree that ... guess there are more but only five per week they sing and there are clues given and the judges try to guess who they are then the one with the least amount of votes is demasked and the judges find out who that person is and the others go on for another week... it's a Fox channel show... was good will I go looking for it when I get my tv hooked up not sure but perhaps depending upon what it is opposite..
then worked on my baby quilt that I so should have done during the summer would like to get it done so I can give it to the baby when I see her next which will be in a week. keep thinking if I just have the sewing part down the rest I can do even while we are in CA perhaps I can do more on it Monday my friend isn't going to be home but told me I could come in and work on it not sure but then her dd is coming so not sure I will want to invade while her dd is there.
then home and and a tomato sandwich that sure tasted good.
take care
