Still Tuesday over here

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Still Tuesday over here

Still Tuesday. Still Scotland. Hope that everyone is making it a good day where ever you are. I am back to my B&B, the car is parked, my boots are off and my feet are up. Sigh. This is still feeling pretty good. Missing the dogs.

Glad to hear you are still doing well in Scotland, Tina. I have been following your blog and enjoying the photos.

Moving very slowly this morning with my shingles. They are on my right side, just under or at a line where the bottom of my bra goes. I am not wearing a bra because it hurts, but even without it, it feels like someone has tied a very tight band around my chest. Very painful, so I am doping myself with pain meds. I find if I sit very still, the pain goes away until I move again--ditto for laying in bed. I am also taking an anti-viral med, so I guess I just have to wait it out.

The nurse said I should start feeling better in a couple of days, but I am supposed to be leaving on Thursday morning, so I don't know what I will do. I don't think I can drive with this much pain. Supposed to go out today to get my tires checked, but may wait to do that tomorrow after my appointment with my doctor.

I knew I had a chance of getting shingles because of my immune system, but darn!!!

Judy, well that sucks! Hope the meds kick in soon.

I worked the first shift today. Stopped at the vet to get more Pred for Lola. Called the golf cart guy back and he replaced the fuse yesterday but charger still didn't work. He says I need a new charger but that will cost between $700 and $800 dollars!! Yikes! I am going to call the place I bought it from and see what they are willing to do.

I was going thru the new directory for this place and about a third of the people here are from Canada, a third are from Washington, and another third from California and Oregon. Just a few from other states. Interesting!

Tomorrow afternoon is my orientation at the new fitness center and then I am going to a class at church in the evening.

My GC's manager is getting me more hours at another location the week after next for a couple weeks, so that will help me out financially a bit. After that things should be picking up at our location with the snowbirds coming back at the end of October.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Sil worked on the generator got the J hooks he wanted but the angle made it so that they weren't going to be as tight.. so he cut a board for it to sit on started to put the hook's on when he realized that a place needs to be cut for the oil to drip through when changing the oil.. so it is put on hold till my gs comes over with the right kind of saw... but it's full of gas and oil will need to run it for a bit and check the oil again and see if it's still getting black quick one of the reviews recommended it said that it takes a few hours of running and oil to get rid of all the stuff ... think I will try to do it while here at least one more time just so that I have the help if I need it
they had picked up more tubes for me and said it was in the basement but when I looked in I didn't look at the wall by the door so didn't see it... guess I didn't look with my women eyes... so will do that tomorrow depending upon weather have laundry to do regardless of weather well guess it may wait but not long... suppose to be a huge storm hit parts of WY not sure if it will be in Jackson or not... but what happens there some times happens here... may have found out why the furnace runs and stops and runs and stops... checked the propane level it's only at 20% shouldn't get below 30 so hopefully the company will come soon as the big tank for the house is 0% but they will get here when they get here...
I am amazed that it will be only a couple weeks before I plan on leaving for parts south!!! Plan on stopping in Utah for a few days then on to AZ. need to start haunting Weather.com

My older son teaches high school in Napa. He said they have closed the schools for tomorrow and Friday because the power will be turned off. Apparently, the winds are going to be really strong there and that area has not had the rain that Oregon and Washington have had. (Everything is green and wet around those states.)

Anyway, he said they made the announcement today in 5th period, and he expects you could hear the kids cheering and shouting all the way to Sonoma! They don't get the snow days the kids get in Michigan and mid-western states. However, what the kids have no doubt not realized yet is that without power, they will be without electronics! What will they possibly do for two whole days?? No TV either, and no movies to go to. Might have to actually read books.
