Tuesday...Came and Went and is Back.. Morning.. That's what happened to my post.. AGAIN.. I even previewed it.. and then clicked submit...YIKES Oh.. what a Morning.. Did I STRIKE OUT...See, even though we know it's Tuesday.. it's acting Like a MONDAY.. ooooooooooh I sure hope the whole day don't go this way..

Yesterday was a shared day.. by all Americans..and a well deserved remembrance too.. I watched the dedication on TV and boy when those Taps are blown..brings a lump in your throat.. I sure hope you all had a good day..a day to celebrate our freedom.. our back yard cook outs and our families able to get together.. I even read up on the Original Day.. Decoration Day where all the Graves were placed flowers and flags..and when it all began.. interesting read..

Now as I surfed through I was smiling.. had to giggle a few times...

Good Luck keep us posted !

Retired Happy.. (Karen) How could I miss that Flamingo Towel.. I don't think anyone could.. it definitely catches the eye.. oh and by the way ... I hear ya about the Barking dogs.. I travel with 4 and when mine go out I'm there .. I don't let them just sit in their Xpen without being there.. they'd bark too.. I think people just don't think.. they are use to it.. and accept it.. I don't.. never have..

Birdbybird (Tina) I love those mug shots of your fur babies.. and Yep at dog show we have barking dogs.. but not all night long and not continuously.. I think most of us, don't put up with it.. LOL I'd have my spray bottle handy.. mine trained quickly.. LOL even the small dogs (toy dogs) most owners took covers and went around the Xpen as they know those little darlings bark at the air LOL...so if they can't see out they keep quiet.. works for me LOL...

Good morning Barbzee, and all! So good to see you in your kitchen! I also love your bowling pins! Can't wait for them to be all down so Saturday is back!

I just HATE it when I lose an entire post to cyberspace! I NEVER preview or hit submit any more without copying the entire thing first---in case!

The pig roast dinner was great, Barb----although I had chicken as I don't like pig! They served roasted chicken or roasted pork (they had it on that spit all day long!), cole slaw, baked beans, rolls and butter, lemonade or coffee, and cookies for dessert. They do this a few time a year here, and it's always good. Then they have a lively DJ with great dance music for two hours in the large lodge hall, and everybody joins in for that fun.....from little kids to great grandmas! (Great grandpas tend to watch----sorry guys----that's just how are!)

I need to vacuum my truck, I know, and clean the pine pollen off all the interior surfaces. The outside could use a good hosing down, as well. The last time I went home to check on my cat, the pollen on the porch phonograph was so thick it looked to be fluffy yellow! But, when I swiped it, it felt sharp and gritty----no wonder it makes people sneeze!

It's just at about freezing level here this morning, with the temperature at 31 deg. F. The sun is coming out bright and warm, however. I can't believe what a perfect camping weekend this has been! I started my furnace to get the chill out of the inside, and now I'm running my Little Buddy heater to keep it just right. I am having coffee, then need to stow my loose stuff inside, crank up my stabilizers, hook up, disconnect power and cable, and haul myself home. Then reverse all that to get me set up in my yard again. I am never totally sad to be heading home, as my own campsite is as beautiful as any other places I may go. The only drawback on that home side of the mountain is that they don't treat our streams to kill black fly larvae any more, even though our streams were the tests to see how it works! We had NO black flies those years they used the BTI in our streams, as they have none over here on the Wilmington side. It appears to check mosquitoes, too, as while over here, I have needed NO insect repellants of any sort. Back home, I will be getting attacked as soon as I step out of the truck.

Wherever you all are today, and whatever you are doing, I hope you all have a wonderful day doing it. Back to school I must go tomorrow, for another whole month before summer vacation. Sigh...I can't WAIT for that last day for the season!

Happy trails from me and Molly

Cute bowling pins! You sure are creative with those graphics, Zeee.

The animals have awakened us, so generator is running and coffee is brewing at 6 a.m. But it's going to be another beautiful sunshiny day here in MT as we head toward Glacier NP.

I tried to upload you some pics, but Photobucket (or my computer) is too slow. Can't do it on generator...as you know I take a lot of them.

OOh it's hard to enjoy the outdoors with those black flies biting. Use repellant with Deet they say. I've got some along for those giant bugs in AK.

Hope you all are blessed as I have been blessed with a beautiful day and congenial companions.

Zee, I love the bowling pins this morning!

We had a great weekend camping too. I was remiss in that I didn't take any pictures. Wasn't sure we were even going to make it out of my driveway as Friday once I got the rig all loaded up I went to start the engine and NOTHING! Even with the AUX start...NOTHING! So, I called my roadside assistance (through Progressive Insurance) and they didn't have anyone in the area that could jump start me. BUT, they did have a tow truck that could tow me somewhere so I could get a jump????? Lot of help that was. And I wasn't at that time even sure that it was just a jump that I needed. It almost sounded like maybe the starter or alternator was not working properly! So, I called a mechanic that has worked on my rig before and had to wait for him to get back from a "Part run". He finally came over and jumped the RV for me and all was well. Of course, I had been ready toleave around 10:30. It was now 1:30! But we went ahead and hit the road.

The campground was about 3 hours away and about 2 1/2 miles from the bay and the beach. It's a pretty nice campground though it did have a lot of "park models" and or Permanant resident sites. But, it is very wooded (Big Oaks Family Campground) and had a very nice pool. My good friend and her GD joined us Saturday around noon and stayed the rest of the time.

Oh, I bought some firewood too and managed to lug it to the campsite! I should have known by how heavy it was that it was still green...had a devil of a time getting a fire going with that wood! It took 3 fires to burn one bundle! I have the other bundle in the RV for next trip!

All in all it was a great weekend.

Good morning everyone. Barbz, only one pin down-looks like my pins when I bowl. We didn't stop at Del Rio. It was early and Bob was on the move. We pulled into Seminole Canyon State Park just east of Langtry. After setting up, 2 guys on bicycles knocked on our door. They are doing a ride for pancreatic cancer and helping to pay for premed students' college costs. Said that the terrain was hillier than were told and realized that people who drive hvea a very different sense of distance. "Down the road", usually meant at least 1/2 hour, etc. They are hoping to be in southern CA by the end of June.

Then the camp host came by and said a big storm was heading thru here with heavy lightening, wind, rain and hail. The storm shelter (bathroom) was right near us if we felt a need. The lightening display was beautiful and all around us, the electric went off, but otherwise, all was ok. Another woman rver I know, was heading down a farm road yesterday morning from the Livingston area to a campground south of Austin and a big hunk of ice hit her windshield and cracked it. She managed to stay in control (34ft Class A with toad), made it to the campground and called a glass place. Maybe the hail from our storm flew there. She's fine and has a great, "well I'm ok and things happen" attitude.

We're planning on stopping in Langtry to check out Judge Roy Bean if I ever get off this computer. Ok, talk with y'all later. carold

One more day....and we will be heading to the local campground resort for a week of camping. It is our shakedown trip. The first of the year. The trailer is cleaned out. Some stuff I took out. Other things I added. I notice I keep changing things out each season...well this is only season 3 for us, with this trailer.
I took out the plastic bins, that we had for toys, books and such. It seemed to be in the way. I cleaned out a dining seat for that stuff. Put the stuff that was under the dining seat in a rubbermaid tube and placed it in the underbelly. It was the extra extension cords, awning lights, little shop vac, etc. Things that really didn't need to be inside. I also added one of those cloth door hanger thingees that has all the little pockets. Going to see if it will help keep some of the little things more organized. Decks of cards, markers, crayons, etc.

I will warn you now..this resort doesn't offer FREE wifi. But we are only 25 miles from home and DH is 1 mile from work. So I will check in every few days. Dh and I alternate on who goes home. This time older DS will be staying home, as he has college classes. So not sure how often we will be coming home. I am sure it will be every few days. Actually this will be another adjustment camping summer for us. It happened about 4 years ago when our oldest started college and working. Now the next one is...he has college until June 19th..He will go with us on the Boy Scout Family Campout June 12th. Then that will be his last trip with us for this season. When he finishes up school. He has 2 weeks off and then it is off to work at Boy Scout Camp for the summer. He will finish up and have about 4 weeks before school starts back up.

That brings us to the now empty bunk spot. I keep debating on what to do with it. I think I might use it for the kids bins that they have for their clothes...but then if they bring a friend...I have to move it. I guess I will keep thinking on that one.

Kodie is all excited and wants to go camping today. She kept bringing me stuff this morning to pack. Juice, chips, movies, toys. She has a pile of things in the living room.

Well I need to get the rest of the crew up and get busy, pack up clothes, and bring in the sleeping bags..that are now all wet since it decided to rain last night. I will have to get them tossed in the dryer. This is suppose to be our only rain day this week. I do not mind it as much. I like a 3-4 days of sun and 1 day of rain. It is the 20-30 days of rain/gray and one day of sun..that I do not like.
