Good Morning Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Luckily my house got missed by the storm. Lots of damage from the winds south of here. More storms coming tomorrow.

Came home to a hungry cat and lots of diarrhea in the litter box. She never ate her breakfast that I mixed her meds into. I think I will have to give her the liquid stuff for now until I get the gelcaps on Thursday.

Tomorrow will head to Curves later in the morning and get started with that.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, I hope you really like Curves. I will have ten years in December! I am so much stronger! So many friends I've met there. Glad no damage at your house . No clouds here and 102!

It's always a bit surprising to me when I see on the tv news about a "massive heat wave" and "millions of people affected" by the "record high temperatures" that are predicted to be "upper 90's to well over 100".

Generally, this leaves me scratching my head.

90 to 100 degree summer temps here in the extended Sacramento area (including where Velda lives and also where I live) are normal and usual. Quite often, at sometime or other during the summer, temps will reach 110 - 115. It's just the way it is here - and we are not desert. 100 degree temps here can - and do - go on for weeks in the summertime here.

It makes it hard for me to understand all the fuss being made regarding high temps in other parts of the country.

High humidity levels in other parts of the country make high temps much more oppressing there than those we experience here in California where humidity can be in the single digits. Humidity makes a BIG difference.

I agree. The humidity makes such a difference. It is very hard to breath when it is that humid (dewpoints in the 70's or more) and just drains your energy.

It truly is about humidity. Today we will have over 100 with 45% humidity which feels hotter than 100 with say 10% humidity partially because it's harder to get evaporation from perspiration with higher humidity.
