Rainy Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Monday

Postby Acadianmom » Mon Jul 22, 2019 12:13 pm

It has been raining off and on all morning but it's only 85. We are suppose to have lows in the 60 for three nights. I find that hard to believe.

I started out with an Apple IIC years ago when computers were just coming out. It had the floppy disks that had the program on one disk and memory on another. I kept the farm books on that for years until Hurricane Rita flooded the house. Every year I would hold my breath that it wouldn't work but it just kept plugging along. My son liked Apple computers so now I have one. If I have trouble I will be up the creek. I have all the information to order a new laptop but keep putting off ordering it. I'm getting an HP this time. I don't want an iPhone, I have enough trouble with an android. It's too smart for me most of the time.

I noticed that Photobucket has something on some of the pictures. I guess if you aren't paying them they put that on the pictures.

There is an invest area off the coast of Florida. PLEASE don't turn into a storm. I called Farm Bureau this morning about the barn roof. I kind of doubt that it will do any good because the barn is in such bad shape. If they won't pay anything I will quit paying insurance on it. I don't know how we got a policy on it anyway because it wasn't insured for years.

I am thinking about going to Lafayette but doubt it happens today. I want to get Hank a stand for his food bowl and a new bed. He has a stand but it's too tall.

We got a little rain this morning...like about 6 drops. It made it humid tho.

We also had a small earthquake (4.2) about 20 miles north of me this morning. I felt just a small jolt while at work.

I mixed some cheap cat food in with the good food and Lola ate that this morning. Will see if that gives her the runs. I am gonna call the vet and see if I can get the Flagyl in pill form.

Have a good day!

all computers are smarter than I am... my brother got my mom a tablet so it would be easier for her to get on FB for our chat to read to do lots of things then for some reason it needed a pass word all of them as hers was some how tied in with my brothers and they can't remember got no help so unless they bought a tablet for their own home.
spent the day with mom made creamed peas and potatoes so dd and I had supper with her.. they have been concerned that she isn't eating but seems to when I am around... not sure how she is when she is on her own
tomorrow is probably going to be laundry day or should be will see I want to put the comforter out on the line if the weather is conducive to it
also bought blackberries the other day saw a recipe for a blueberry lush thought why not with blackberries??? the recipe calls for pie filling!!! so now need to figure out how to take the berries into a similar sauce

I picked up a new powdered anti-biotic for Lola today. Will see how that goes. I got some salmon flavored "sauce" to put in her food and she turned her nose up at it.

I joined Curves today. Seems like a great bunch of women and the owner is really nice! She introduced me to the women who were there and they all came over to introduce themselves to me. It almost turned into a party! :o I hope I can make some new friends there and get motivated to stick with it and get in shape. Last time I joined Curves back in Vista, I got the flu right after and by the time I got better (after related complications), they closed the place! Hoping this works out better and I stay healthy!

It stayed cloudy all day. I could see rain coming over the mountains but it dissipated before it got here. Supposed to get rain and storms here by Wednesday tho. It is a good thing but the humidity goes up with it which is not good.

Off to bed...
