Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday

Good Morning everyone. Another week moving along as is the summer. At least we are getting some much needed rain yesterday and supposedly later this afternoon. Not an all day type rain, but waves of passing showers and storms for some areas. Did have one rumble of thunder yesterday. Temps are comfortable, humidity is low but will be cranking up starting tomorrow as will the temps. Fortunately by next Monday it should be out of here.

Nothing much to report from here. Have my trailer partly packed for the next trip, will replenish some staples after I go shopping tomorrow. Then next week, give it a cleaning and wash it before we head out. Looking forward to spending time exploring the western U.P. With friends.

Martha, glad you are now back home and didn’t have too much damage etc. Lyn, glad you are starting to feel better. Irmi, you are having quite the trip and so much more to see. Enjoy every moment. I know others are out and about or planning to be. And others who are staying on the home front. Whatever you do or wherever you go, enjoy yourselves, make the most of every day. Beth, work sounds like it’s going more smoothly this year.

Time to get a move on here. Thinking of washing windows this morning, but first a shower and hair wash. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,
Wonderful downpour during the night. Its so green here !! Its supposed to get hot and I suppose that means the humidity will get extreme. I'm still enjoying it in spite of the humidity.
So many nice places I could spend time exploring but time and $$ prevents me from doing that. Am driving down to Fon duLac in a little while with my dads car to have lunch.
Lol, Abby and Maggie starring me down for their adventure walk. They certainly enjoy all the new smells.
Y'all enjoy your day :-)

Good afternoon!

Another really hot day at 117*. Supposed to start cooling off after today. 100* will feel good after this!

I decided to name my trailer Roxanne, Roxy for short. I have always loved that name and I was trying to figure out how to incorporate the name of my friend, Rocky, who was a client, fellow golfer, and worked on all of my past trailers (tent trailer, small storage trailer and the Keystone trailer). He suddenly passed away this past February. Since RVs, trailers, cars, etc. are typically given female names, I decided Roxy would be a good name. I think Rocky would approve! :)

I have been doing some reading on-line and found some very interesting information about disfunctional famiies with a narcissistic parent (my dad) and how one child ends up as the black sheep or scapegoat in the family. I have always felt I was in that role. I am doing a lot of reading today about that and it is putting a lot of puzzle pieces in place for me, especially with how my brother mistreats me verbally and emotionally, and always has. It is very interesting and reassuring to me that I am not the crazy or bad one. I fit the scapegoat profile perfectly and he fits the scapegoat perpetrator perfectly. Makes so much sense now. Hopefully, this will help me deal with this and move on with a better perspective.

Ava, I might make a shake-down trip to Phoenix in the next month. I still have all that ferret stuff that needs to get delivered to the ferret rescue out there and would be a good excuse to try out the trailer. Am looking at a campground on Lake Pleasant. Hoping we can get together while I am there.

Have a new neighbor across the street. Kind of a bad time to come back here from where ever she was. Saw a younger woman drop her off with a small dog and a suitcase this morning.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

when I went to bed my day was to get up shower pack up my stuff and go home
when I was laying in bed hitting the snooze button I thought if I would just get up I would be
able to clean the end of the cabinet that wasn't cleaned
when I finally got up and looked around thought I could stay another day and do the deglazing on
the cabinets and go home tomorrow
so that is what I did the cabinets are now deglazed I've played multiple game of forty thieves (while resting from climbing up and down and basically killing time) the tops still need cleaned but what I was using wasn't the best so will ask when someone wakes up from their naps almost 8 and people still taking naps think the gd is up I hear voices she has been putting the bond paint on the cabinet doors they are all over the basement floor... so if I don't get the tops of the cabinets someone can do it I did do one section just wishing for a whisk broom bet they don't have one...
missed my gd turning 16 today just didn't give the date a thought and when I texted my dd about my change of plans she didn't remind me FB did but it went in one eye and out the other just didn't register
so my plans tomorrow is to get up and ...........
but they are jello plans after all

It's been a long day. I just got back from my Cattle Women meeting. I have been to town 3 times today. Yesterday afternoon late I found one of the barn cats hopping around on 3 legs. She was holding her right back leg out to the side like there was something wrong with her hip joint. This morning I brought her to the vet and dropped her off. He was having a long day too and I didn't hear from him until 6:30. Gypse has 3 puncture wounds on her leg and foot and an abscess on her paw. Thank goodness her leg isn't broken. He is keeping her tonight and will check her again tomorrow.

After the vet's I brought my Verizon tablet by the Verizon store. I got a new tablet in March and it would work a while and then tell me I didn't have a sim card. I could turn it off and back on and it would work for a while and do the same thing. I only use the tablet when I camp so it hadn't aggravated me enough to bring it in until today. I needed to use it when I evacuated for the hurricane. I didn't know the phone number associated with my account so they couldn't or wouldn't look it up. Turns out the number is the cell number of the tablet. Not something I would know off hand. They had my tablet but said they couldn't look it up. I had to drive 25 miles round trip to get one of my bills. Then they charged me $20 to replace the sim card that was bad to begin with. I ask if he could change the phone number on my account to my cell phone number. He said that it would be $20 to do that. I told him never mind. I think that's what really set me off. I was so pissed off when I left there it's a wonder I didn't get a ticket.

Yesterday I picked up the limbs in the yard and cleaned the carport. My son and I moved all the vehicles back home. We are just lucky that the storm came on shore here and not 20 miles to the West. The area 20 miles East of here has a lot of damage. I didn't think the water had gotten in the barn but it did. The water is going down slowly. The guy that has the cows brought some back yesterday. He said that one place he has cattle they are on a levee because there is so much water. I hope we don't have to go through this again any time soon.
