Lazy Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Lazy Sunday

Postby Bethers » Sun Jun 30, 2019 10:00 am

I'm declaring today a lazy day. Other than done chores and checking in at the store as needed, Ty and I will be bums. That's my current plans, anyway.

I hope wherever you are and whatever you're doing, you're smiling.

A pictute from yesterday with Irmi, Steve and their friends.

I have been fairly busy this morning puttering in the yard. Just changed my bed I have been procrastinating on doing, dont know why. Now time for some lunch. Tomorrow taking my RV in to get my most favorite thing fixed my remote control Fantastic Fan. The fan just quit working and they said probably just the plunger. Have no idea where or what that is but seems like if it is that it is an easy fix. BUT I have to have it there at 8am and it is about a half hour from me so I need to get to it and do it tomorrow morning.

I love a lazy day once in a while Beth. Actually I deserve one for sure. Last week was all doctor appts so glad that is over for 6 months. nothing much on the agenda for the rest of the day. I have leftovers to eat and going to lunch tomorrow with my neighbor. Wanted to take Emma for a walk but it is heating up outside now and I am hungry so she loses out right now.

It is a lazy day here also and I am sooo bored. The weather is super hot and humid so I'm not inclined to go out. It is days like this I wish a friend or neighbor would just drop by to chat or play Mexican Train. I miss those long ago days when people dropped in without a formal invitation. Seems like now even a casual get together takes a lot of planning. Karen, I don't envy your early appointment, I don't like to rush into the day, :)
Great pictures Beth from your GTG with Irmi. I especially like the one with the goat.

The dogs are so funny, I bought a new bed for the little ones but Emma says it's a one sized fits all. I love the way Toby is scrunched over so the much loved Teddy has enough room!

Not morning here anymore and our day was lazy. Today is a down day as we are leaving here tomorrow to head to Casper Wyoming. We'll be there a week before heading further west. We had very hard rains this afternoon with pea size hail. Turned on the heat for a bit to take the chill off but Steve enjoys the cooler temperatures, so I'm off to put more clothes on.

BJ, I remember when my parents used to drop in on friends and they were always welcome for visits. But yes, today, our lives are so busy that if you don't call, sometimes days or weeks (even months) ahead, you'll never know if friends are home or if you are welcome. Kind of sad.

I am having too many lazy days! Just watching golf now. Very hot again today so not motivated to go outside for anything.

BJ, cats are the same way. Size means nothing to them. They will lay in anything of any size and make themselves fit!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

A friend of mine said that the best day in retirement is Sunday because you don't have to get up to go to work on Monday. My last day of work was Friday so I am enjoying my first Sunday of retirement.
Hanging out in Oregon.

Sheila, in answer to your question, we often visit places within a hundred mile radius of where we're staying, so we'll be seeing more than just Casper.

Welcome to the retired world!! I retired in December of 2016 - had put off retirement for a few years, because I worried at what I would do with myself. Not an issue! I am totally loving being retired!!
