Still Working here in Ohio Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Great Morning to you. I think Alexia just told me to expect to see some sunshine today. The room we work in doesn't have windows but it is good to know that the dogs can get out and enjoy some sunshine. I always tell folks at work that I can't trust myself to go outside on a break if it is nice out. I would be too tempted to just wander off and not come back.

Enjoy your day. Make some interesting adventures. Find those moments that are worth a smile or two.

Good Morning Tina and all. Hope you get your sunshine Tina. Although our forecast yesterday called for scattered showers, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. Temps in 70’s and good breeze. Looking good today too.

Off to do some shopping for trip this morning, finish packing stuff, cut grass etc. spending evening with neighbors by the fire again. Should be a great day.

Judy, hope you are making progress in FL. Barb, I like your future plans regarding work and travel etc. Off to start my day. Have a nice one :)

Good morning Tina, Sue & everyone!

We are at a campground just outside the town of Deadwood SD. Yesterday we went into the town, walked the streets, and saw two reenactments, one of Wild Bill Hickok's assassination and another of Calamity Jane. Both were wonderful. Today we are going to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. There is so much to see and do around here. We're hoping to get together with Beth before leaving here. Next week we're be moving towards Yellowstone.

Have a good day!

Irmi, you have to go thru Keystone to get to Mt Rushmore, so I hope you can at least stop at the store to see Beth and Linda on you way there or back.

Still laying in bed. Always get a little nervous about interviews even tho I don't have to worry about actually getting the job. At least I have already met and spoken with the manager a couple times so we already know each other a little bit.

I really need to get off my butt and get the porch cleaned up and rearranged so I can bring in more stuff from storage. I have two storage units and I need to get it down to one smaller one before I get charged again for both. The larger one is mostly cleared out now with the furniture out of there. The smaller one is still crammed with stuff. I can fit a lot of it in the porch for now once I get it cleaned out. Once I get most of that one cleared out, I can put the stuff from the other unit in there until I can finally find room for all of it at my house. Still need to get into my shed and clean that out.

Will be getting my living room window treatments today (3 tone green scarves) so will get those up too. That will finish off the living room nicely I hope!

After the interview, I will be meeting with a group from the resort for dinner (weekly Wednesday get-together) so that will be fun too. It is at a Mexican restaurant which I am not a fan of, but I should be OK ordering a cheese quesadilla. :) That is usually my go-to meal at Mexican places since I know what is in it and it isn't too spicy. :D

Just found out a good friend of mine's mom is expected to pass away today from late stage Alzheimers. They were next door neighbors growing up and she and I were best friends. I spent a lot of time at their house when my home life was a mess. So her mom is like a second mom to me. :(

Didn't get to sleep until almost 3 am so am not sure why I woke up so early this morning. I will be tired later on! I need to start getting to bed much earlier than I am used to so I can get up earlier when it is still cool out.

Have a good day!

Barbie, I love the window scarves. We have them in our home in MD in the living & dining rooms. Ours are white with a flower printed into the fabric. They're like 18 ft long but super easy to wash and dry. I love them. Be sure to show us some before & after pictures.

We went to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse today. We had lunch at a diner in Keystone (I've PM'd Beth with hopes to get together with her) and are back at the campground. The countryside here is magnificent! I've taken lots of pictures and can't wait to show them to everyone.

I've responded Irmi. Look forward to seeing you.

I just watched the movie "My Dog Skip". I really didn't think I'd cry, but, of course, I was totally wrong. That said I loved much of it . It's a true story and truly does show how much dogs teach us. And love us. I just should have turned it off a few minutes from the end. Ahh, did I say they used Jack Russell's in the filming? So similar to Ty.

(Sigh). I don't watch films about dogs. Ever. The films never end well, and always leave me shaken.

I could never even watch "Lassie" when I was a kid because I would always cry when she ran off again!

I don’t watch ANY movies about ANY animals. It’s just too hard on my mind and makes me depressed. Better to just not watch. I’ve never seen Old Yeller, Lassie, and all the rest. I never even watched Dumbo and Bambi. I also despair when I happen upon headlines about mistreatment of or other negative things happening to animals. I don’t read the articles, but just the headlines are too much. I realize there are awful stories about people, and those are disturbing too. Makes you wonder about the world we live in.

I feel the same way Sandi. It is bad enough to watch movies and cartoons with animals getting hurt or dying but it is so heartbreaking to read about real animals suffering. I am glad there are so many people out there trying to help them since they can't help themselves.
My heart also breaks for people, especially kids, who are mistreated and abused. The situation at our borders are especially disturbing and heartwrenching to me. So inhumane.

Most movies and shows I watch are romantic comedies. Laughing gets my mind off of the negative stuff for awhile. :D

I love many animal movies. This one was pretty much a feel good movie. That said... It covered from the time the dog joined the family as a pto throughout his life. So, of course, he dies at the end. After a wonderful life. But I just hated him dying. He was an awesome dog, with a wonderful life.
