Rain showers Tuesdsy

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rain showers Tuesdsy

Morning all. Going to breakfast with a neighbor this morning, so the kitchen is closed here, sorry. Cloudy and mild out this morning, some showers around. Othersharon, looks like you are having all the rain of late. Hope you get your trip to NY off the ground. I may just have to come back to PA and go to the Deleware Water Gap sometime.

Been enjoying having all my summer neighbors here now. 2 couples plus myself had an enjoyable evening on Sunday at the one couples new fire pit. We sat and chatted and our evening entertainment was provided by Eagles soaring and flying over and around the lake. How cool is that. We are going to do it again tomorrow evening and two more are joining us. Then I will be heading north with my trailer to join my camping friends for a week of fun. One couple are brining their boat, so we will be out on the lake once in awhile.

Barb, sounds like you are making progress on getting settled in your new house. Love your golf cart. My neighbors have a neat red one at their winter home in FL.

Guess I should move along here. Have a load of wash going, need to get me cleaned up and then pick up my neighbor in a while. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good morning. Having coffee here right now and then will get some breakfast before I start my day. I am going to shampoo my carpet today. I sure dont know how it gets so dirty so fast....oh wait I have a dog LOL

Tomorrow I have my doc appt for my infusion for my RA. Those 6 months sure do go by fast. Then a doc appt on Friday with my new Primary care doc. Mine left the practice to go to the ER, and I really liked her very much. Now I have to train another one. We will see how I like him. I dont really need one because even if you are sick you cant get in to see them anyway, they just tell you to go to urgent care. Times have certainly changed. But will give it a shot.

Changed our game day (Mexican train) to Thursday this week due to my MD appt. We are pretty flexibile on when we play and if we cant be we just cancel it for that week.

Irmi, so glad you have arrived and now get to rest. Enjoy that part of the country, I think there is so much to see up there. I need to go back one of these days. Barbie hope you get all your appliances working and I would have replaced them also. I like appliances I can trust LOL

Got up early this morning to dump my tanks and take my rig to the storage lot. They are very full, but owner was very nice to find me a spot for a week when I told her it was a family emergency. So, I am at the Sacramento Airport waiting for my flight to Atlanta where I will change planes for Sarasota. Got all kinds of appointments tomorrow and Thursday--first one is at the bank to put our names on the accounts. Then later in the day we will open up a new account at a bank that has branches all over the country. By the way, Barbie, when I talked to the Suntrust bank they clarified that if my uncle had someone bring him to the bank they would try to talk him out of withdrawing money, but if he insisted, they could not stop him!!! (That is not the advice they gave me earlier.) So, per the lawyer's suggestion, we are going to transfer the accounts to a new bank and not let him know where it is!!!!!!

Going to be in 90s and rainy there, so I will probably end up taking a lot of showers and hiding in AC buildings! If I have time on Saturday night after my partner POA person leaves, I may try to go to Myakka River SP and say Hi to an alligator or two!! Love that place and will be there first two weeks of December.

Good luck with all that, Judy! Hope you have time to enjoy yourself a bit while you are there.

Nothing much happening here, altho there should be. I need to find some motivation today and get something done around here.

Some high clouds moving in so maybe that will keep the temps down to the low 100's!

Wish I could go swimming but I still have flea bites healing on my legs and the pool by me is salt water. Luckily, the fleas didn't follow me out here, or if they did, they died from the heat while in storage!

Have a good day, rain or shine!

I decided to walk Hank this morning since he missed his walk yesterday. The radar shows rain to the West of me. It's overcast and the temperature is only 88 but the humidity felt like it must have been 100%. Hank doesn't want to get out of his kennel because he knows I want to put medicine in his ears so had to trick him. I hope the vet can keep him this weekend. They can doctor him and give him his medicine.

We are going to an RVW campout in McComb, MS this weekend. There is no way to get there except interstate or back roads. There aren't many places to cross the Mississippi River. Not looking forward to that trip.

The food at the Cuban restaurant last night was pretty good. I had a combination plate with beef, pork, chicken, white rice, black beans and something that kind of tasted like potatoes but wasn't. The meat was very thin, kind of like what I had at the Greek restaurant. There were only 2 other tables with people so we got a lot of attention from the owner.

Judy, have a good trip and hope you can get all the business taken care of. It was a Suntrust bank that handled the sale and purchase when I bought the newer motorhome. The only recommendation on banks I have is don't use Chase. My experiences with them have not been good.

Need to go pick up the rest of Hank's prescription and get some copies made of legal size papers.

Barbie, have you made it over to your job interview, yet? Have been thinking of you and wondering what sort of clientele Great Clips has through the hot summer months. Do they cut/lay off stylists each year when so many sunbirds head to cooler climates or do a portion of their stylist move back and forth following the climate each summer just like the clientele?

I think there are very many people who live year round in that area Tina. One of my neighbors moved there a year ago and they love it. Winters are wonderful and they learn to love their A/C and pools in the summer

The interview is tomorrow at noon. I need to bring my equipment because I have to do a haircut for them. I hope it is on a real person and not on a mannequin. Those are very hard to cut on!

They do slow down quite a bit in the summer. There are still a lot of people out here who stay all year long. I am sure they cut back hours during that time tho. I will only be part-time anyways and I was told there is a shortage of stylists out here so they are probably always a little understaffed. They are opening another Great Clips somewhere out here and are hiring for that. Am hoping it is at the new shopping area near me since they said it is near a Home Depot and there is one there, and there's a lot of new shops and restaurants going in around there. If I decided to travel next summer for a few months, I am sure they won't have any problem with giving me that time off. Would give the other stylists more hours that way. Will see how that goes.

I just got a check from Escrow for $462! Unexpected but very much appreciated! That will cover some of my new appliances.

did accomplish more today at least the dishes are done... and a couple more rows are done on the afghan. seems to have lost a bit of my yarn but it's ok I am sure it will turn up somewhere one of the cars or at my mom's in the mean time I have more yarn to fall back on.
still need to get another planter to plant some plants in need it to hang where I am not sure but in the shade... looked at some of the plants I thought had died from the cold and there is green at the base so hopefully will come out of it just need to prune them down..
Any one ever used the water beads? remember them vaguely from years gone by wonder if they would provide a way to water my plants while I am gone. need to go help my daughter out for a bit.. and although I will ask the grandkids to water they are often forgotten and when I come home they look so sad.
watching a old Criminal Minds way old two that are gone are on it... sure miss them
