Barbie, with all the cleaning you have done, anyone moving into your home should feel extremely lucky! Congratulations on losing the 12 pounds, Martha!
And, Othersharon, I have had lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins who built their own homes and moved in as soon as they legally could--which mostly meant a working bathroom and at least one bedroom finished!! Kitchens were nice to have finished, but not quite as important as the bathroom. Way back before there were many building codes that were enforced, I remember cousins living in houses without finished floors or doors on closets. (One uncle got so tired of the underfloor that they painted it until they could afford carpeting, and that was several years! No credit cards back then.) Eventually, things do get finished, however, and your son will have a very nice home.
Chilly day but sunny today, and I am just taking it easy. I went on two tours of the historic part of this old military fort yesterday and had to do a lot more walking than I am used to. First, there was no RV parking near the museum or where the tour started, so I had to park about 1,000 feet away, which is a lot for me. I just do not have the stamina I used to have, so I have to stop a lot and catch my breath. When I was done, it took a lot of effort to pull myself into my cab and driver's seat. It was easy to blame this the last couple of years on my lack of red blood cells and other things, but my blood work is normal these days, not counting my pesky low platelets. I've been trying to walk around campgrounds at least once a day, but I guess I need to do more. Anyway, I was so exhausted after my afternoon that after I drove back to the campground and got set up, I just plopped in my chair. Took me a hour before I felt like doing anything constructive.
