Saturday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Morning

I'm lazing in bed... Feels so good. After a shower I intend to go grocery shopping and do more laundry. Nothing exciting but it's to be a beautiful day and I'm grateful.

Good morning Beth & all!

Beth, enjoy the beautiful day!

We've been busy this morning. Although it started out chilly, especially for being the middle of April in FL, it's starting to warm a bit. We've been to the grocery store and stocked up for the trip north. Steve & I are hosting the coffee hour after church tomorrow, so we bought everything for that. On the way home, we stopped at church to take the paper goods, a cake and cookies to the church hall. It will be that much less that we need to take with us tomorrow. This afternoon I will make a chicken salad to take for the coffee hour along with the cocktail bread, cheeses and pepperoni and veggie platter. Brenda and another couple from the campground are hosting a going away dinner for us tomorrow. I'll make German potato salad and devilled eggs for that. Needless to say, I have a busy afternoon ahead of us.

We learned yesterday that my sister's hubby, they live in Daytona Beach, did not get good results from a cat scan he just had. He's been in remission for over 6 months and this coming week he will have another port put in and a couple days later having a bone marrow test. I'm reluctant to leave here but she said to go. He's been fighting lymphoma for the last 1-1/2 years and here they go again.

Yesterday, the Good Friday service at church was cancelled because of severe storms. Lots of trees are down and many lost their power, including the church. This morning, we've had lots of strong gusts of wind, which are making me nervous.

Have a good day, wherever you are!

Wow Irmi you are cookin' up a storm. I am sure it will all be wonderful. Sorry to hear your BIL is having these issues. Hoping for a good remission.

Rainy day here but just a light steady rain for which I am glad. I planted some flowers this last week and didnt want the rain to pummel them. So far so good. Supposedly sun tomorrow so that is a good thing. Sunday our Clubhouse is hosting an Easter dinner and it sounds super good, so no cooking for me tomorrow.

Beth glad you are getting some good weather. Looks like we have no rain in the future for next week. Partly cloudy and sun days....I will take it. Just not looking forward to the heat of summer. After I get my garden planted and my watering system in good working condition I am going to go camping somewhere. Just for a few days. Will be nice to get away. Since I am back on my diet (Low carb, NO Ice cream LOL) I have lost 3 lbs, gave me incentive to keep going so I must go get more veggies at the grocery store and pick up a few snacky things. I got homemade Salsa and some chips yesterday. However only 1/4 cup of Salsa and 12 chips.......I will savor each one LOL

Got my Roomba working this morning then will steam mop the tile floors. Laundry is in and now I am enjoying another cup of coffee.

was on a video chat for two hours for the baby shower... was fun to experience one of the games they played was fun not one I've seen before it was called well something about ask momma... passed around a card and you wrote on one side of the card what question you would think she might ask momma then the card was sent in one direction several times then back a couple... so no chance of getting the same card and you write on the other side the answer to the question YOU wrote down for example I virtually wrote (my dd penned for me) how do I clean the umbilical cord??? when they read the card the answer was wipe with poop (makes you wonder what the question was to that answer) wonder if she will go through and figure out what question belonged to what answer (I would  ) cute gifts but no toys might have to fix that!! want to make her a quilt but haven't found the material I want to use so will do it when I get to Utah
today was really wasted didn't do anything that I thought I would other than the baby shower and reading scriptures... it was a hot day and a windy day at that so just vegged out did walk over the grocery store got something for tomorrow and for the trip sorta
looking at the weather the winds are still going to be higher than I like in Needles on Monday hopefully not so bad that I can't continue on North...
Did finish a book it was an exciting one...
