The original sausage ball recipe that was on the Bisquick box only called for bisquick, sausage and cheese. The recipe I used called for buttermilk and I think it made the balls kind of gummy. I love the Red Lobster biscuits and thought they would be good to make sausage balls but not with buttermilk.

Queen, I used the hot sausage.

Martha, my mom used to make those sausage and bisquick balls, she always made some with the spicy sausage just for me. Now I’m sitting here missing my mom.

Yes, it seems that a lot on here are missing their moms just now.

When I was a kid my mom always made "Potatoes Au Gratin", just for the holiday meal. She liked them, none of us kids did. We used to tease her and call them "Potatoes Half Rotten".

I saw at the grocery store the other day that there is an instant potatoes mix for Potatoes Au Gratin. I think, next time I am at the store, I will get a package and make them for Christmas.

Just for her.

She has been gone thirty years. I'll bet it will make her smile.

Well, I dunno. I have Prime off and on when I am in an ordering binge (I make hand-made jewelry, and order a lot of my supplies from Amazon) and I want to get stuff in a hurry, then I cancel. Maybe it is just if you haven't had Prime before.

But not sure. Will check and get back to you.
