Good Morning Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Sunday!

Can’t say much for the sun though and it’s cold out. Might see an inch of snow or might not. Not going anywhere today anyway other than taking the dogs for an afternoon walk.

O’Sharon, sorry to hear about the snowblower. Darn things aren’t cheap either. I love my new one. It has automatic turn when I want to turn around, so way easier to use. And of course self propelled. Looks like it might be sitting for awhile now unless we get a little more snow over course of midweek. Nice Thanksgiving coming up though.

Have to laugh at you gals and Black Friday. Doesn’t seem to be very many fans on this forum. Can’t blame those of you in the bigger population areas as I know you have throngs in the stores and on the roads. Here where I live, we don’t have many big box stores, mainly Walmart, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot, otherwise the rest are mostly small chain or mom and pop stores on the main drag in town and small strip malls. A lot of people come here from surrounding areas to shop and Traverse City, with it’s big mall is a big draw, so a lot head that a way. Black Friday is busy on Thursday night into Friday morning. I’ve gone into Walmart mid morning and no worse than a normal shopping day. Maybe just a bit more tussled look to the store  Same with traffic. They’ve All been and gone. But I sure hate seeing Thanksgiving pushed aside in the name of commercialism. Right now I have my eye on some flannel shirts at Walmart and am getting them tomorrow while supplies are in. They will be wiped out by Friday. Friday I’m heading north to a Craft show.

Good Morning, Haven’t posted in a while as I have absolutely no news. Continuing my water jogging, pain in ankle comes and goes. Going to the daughters today to watch the Chargers. After 50 years rooting for the , it is almost impossible to stop! Hopefully the rain comes to. Northern Calif! Lyn

Good morning.
Got pretty much nothing done yesterday. Went to WM and got some groceries but that is about it. Just not been feeling good physically or mentally. No ambition or energy, just tired all the time and down in the dumps.

We now have two chrysalis's and one caterpillar who looks like he is about to make one.

Sunny and no breeze here this morning. I will be heading to work shortly here for the day. No days off until Thursday for Thanksgiving. Will be a busy week.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Sunny but cold here this morning. (Still not quite noon.) I've been having problems keeping this place warm without burning through a tank of propane each week. Last one lasted 16 days, and I expect I will need another refill by Thanksgiving. I put film on two windows and bought a couple more of the vent pillows to stuff in the ones in my bathroom and kitchen, plus I have two small electric heaters running. One heater is really old, so I ordered a newer one that has more safety features, and it should be here on Wednesday. I'll tuck the older one in underneath storage for emergencies. I am really glad to have my down comforter, as it is really warm.

Also, I have to tell you that it is really funny to be "camping" in a college town! Eugene is home to the U of Oregon, and they are the "Ducks" so there are a lot of signs and flags during the week. Then on a weekend when there is a football game, everyone is running around wearing green college clothing! RV Park fills up on Friday, but has mostly emptied by today noon. Lots of parents and alumni around earlier, but have now gone home. Lots quieter now.

Made an appt to get my eyes checked tomorrow. The prescription in my left eye does not seem to be strong enough because I am having problems reading things online, which is not good when you are supposed to be grading papers online.

Judy, Well get ready for Fridays game LOL It is the Civil War game Oregon State vs Univ of Oregon in Corvallis. So you will probably fill up again shortly.

Beautiful cool day here today but lots of sun. Not as much smoke as we have been having so that is a plus. Been having a kind of lazy afternoon here. Sure not going out shopping for anything until after Black Friday weekend. It was a madhouse at the grocery store yesterday. I have plenty of food to sustain me for quite a while.

I got home about 4:00 this afternoon from my camping trip to Natchitoches. The weather was beautiful but a little cool at night. We had some good campfires. Natchitoches was starting the Christmas lights on Saturday so a lot going on in town. We went and ate downtown, went to a craft show and walked along main street. Some were shopping but I was just looking. I did buy 2 bottles of local wine. We have to support the wine makers. lol

The campground is only about a year old and very nice. It's built in an old pecan orchard. Some of us picked up pecans one afternoon and they sent the pecans home with me to make pralines for the Christmas campout in 2 weeks.

One of the ladies that lives near Natchitoches took us through a local liquor store drive-thru and introduced me to frozen eggnog. It's like a slushy with bourbon. I might try making it, it was so good. That liquor store was there when I was in college 50 years ago.

I need to get the washing started. My clothes smell like smoke.

Oh, no! Well at least the game is in Corvalis, instead of Eugene!!

Before I get to the ophthalmologist tomorrow, I will make a couple of quick stops and pick up a few grocery things to last me a while. I am really getting hooked on the chocolate croissants from Trader Joe's. They are frozen and you put them out to rise overnight and then bake them in the morning. Yum. Best thing is that don't take up much space in the freezer, so I can buy a bunch.

I also am going to try to get a pair of lightweight boots of some sort. I have not worn boots since I started out six years ago, but I think I will need something for this winter--just don't want anything too big or bulky.
