Drying out Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Drying out Wednesday

Good Morning! Finally got some rain yesterday. Not nearly as much as we need, but gave the grass and flowers a good soaking. Some areas in mid lower peninsula got way too much. But partly cloudy and mid 70’s forecasted today , so great being outside weather.

I have a little project lined up on my trailer for today. Making vinyl windows to cover my screen door when it’s cooler or really warm enough to run AC. This way, don’t have to close the outside door and can enjoy the light. Bought a the vinyl and Velcro at Walmart yesterday and plan to cut and fit today. Will be an experiment to see how it works. If it wasn’t for the door having a radius top, I could make some thin frames to attach the plastic to and then attach them to the door. But not easy getting a radius curve on wood or metal frames. I’ve used the shrink film in the past that you stick on and then heat with a hair dryer, but want something to take off and put on when needed. Want to get it done before I head out again.

Barb, hope you post a pic of your teal paint job when you finish. I agree about the paneling. It’s hard to paint over. I’m thinking of maybe doing some in the house this winter too.

So, where’s everybody? Guess you are all busy these days. Thinking of Velda and Mel too. Take care everyone.

Good morning Sue & everyone!

It's still morning on the east coast for a few more minutes, so I need to type real fast.

We had rain yesterday evening, but it's supposed to be dry for the most part for the next week. We are leaving in a little while to meet friends at a campground on the MD/DE line. We'll be gone for a week and have a change of scenery for a bit. The car is hooked up and then it's just a matter of pulling in the slides and unhooking the electric. We finished picking crabs yesterday and enjoyed cream of crab soup yesterday and we'll switch over to crab cakes today.

I've been thinking about Velda & Mel, too.

I hope we are drying out. I mowed the part of the yard that I could yesterday. The part that stays wet is getting really tall. We aren't suppose to get rain until about Sunday. We had a "cold" front come through so it's 89 instead of 95. The humidity is suppose to be lower but I haven't been out to see.

Darn, Irmi you are going to make me make crab soup if you keep talking about crabs. The seafood restaurant in town probably has boiled crabs but I don't like to go alone. Guess I could get some to go.

I made reservations for the November campout with the Louisiana group. Hope it's not too cold. I need to make reservations for the October campout so I can get my favorite spot at the lake. This will be our third Halloween campout. Everyone brings candy and treats so we can trick or treat. Like I need candy. Last year we had a chili cook off.

It's time to put flea treatments on the outside cats. I managed to get 2 this morning. As soon as they smell it they scatter.

I took half of an Advil PM last night for my shoulder pain and didn't wake up until almost 11:00 this morning! Feeling better tho. Just finished painting the mirror frame (am very happy with how that turned out!) and last night I finished the grooves on the paneling (two coats). So all I need to do is run the roller over the walls with two coats of paint and that will be done! Then clean up everything and start moving my stuff in! My handyman will be over sometime next week to get all the fixtures hooked up for me.

I work late afternoon/evening shift the rest of this week but can get a lot done before heading to work (if I get up before noon! ). I just have to take it easy on my left arm/shoulder. I have a prescription gel to rub on the joints which helps a lot so will use that before going to work.

Feels warm and a bit humid today but not as bad as last week. I hear the birds complaining that I forgot to fill the feeder yesterday. Better do that right now before I forget again!

Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

we got some rain last night had winds and woke up to seeing the mountains haven't seen them since I've been back. it's been so smoky not sure if it's the CA fires the OR fires the Glacier or the Canadian fires then understand there was a fire south and west of here but like 100 miles away...then it rained during the day as well so glad to see it
and of course it is a bet cooler...cool enough I turned on the heater and surprise surprise it worked...I had tried once earlier in the summer and it didn't so was so glad to hear the noise...one thing I really liked about the fireplace was no fan unless you turned it on so it was quite.
