Good Sunday morning...

It is a good Sunday morning if anything but hot this is the first day that the muggy about knock me back in the door when I went out at 6:15... I guess it's the real summer in Florida hahaha... I'm still playing with the cranes and their babies they now come to my bird feeder at least once a day if not twice... most of my days are spent inside so I've started doing some sewing trying to teach myself to do some quilt blocks... I made those bowl cozies so I think I'll make those for Christmas gifts... after many many many months of searching and sitting in about a million chairs I finally found a small recliner for my living room that does not hurt my back ...so now I can sit and watch TV and Pheebe will be able to sit with me right now I'm sitting on my yard chairs that I have for my kitchen table you know the multicolored ones I painted... my doctor said I needed to put my feet up so now I'll be able to do that... I found the chair at an estate sale and it was reasonably priced in this was a clean estate sale so I am a happy camper... It was not tan brown or black a kind of bluish green color & small to fit in my small home... I went with my neighbor's & new friends Trudy and Linda Trudy was able to get it in the back of her SUV... I do wish I was able to get out and go north this summer but new roof first so that's what I'm saving my dollars for... all for me have a nice day and B safe...

Good morning all. Goodness, been awhile since I’ve stopped in and trying to catch up with everyone’s going ons. Exciting news, Beth about your new pup. Sounding like he’ll be a good fit for you. Donna, been enjoying watching the baby cranes grow! I just got back from a trip up to New York. Would’ve stayed a couple more days but the rainy forecast for the next 2 weeks pretty much decided for me to head on home. Trying to deal with big, wet, smelly dogs just isn’t ideal for me! Even with their raincoats on! But the main thing is that we finally got away and had a wonderful trip. Lola did well so can’t ask for much more! Took a different route and avoided I-81 and the mess around Scranton-Wilkes Barre area. I cut up to 17 through the northern part of PA and loved it. Good road and a beautiful drive. I got into home area early enough to spend some time by the river in Lock Haven for my grandson’s birthday party. Didn’t see much of him since he and his buddies were out kayaking or canoeing! Best way to get them all back together was tell them the food was ready! Anyway, managed to get home much later then I expected! But had fun! So that’s about it from here. Got outside work done yesterday and figure it’ll be inside jobs for awhile. Hope you all have a good day and week. Travel safe.

Good Morning, We are having my favorite kind of day, cloudy, a little wind and cool. I hope it comes to all who are in heat and humidity at least for awhile. Good luck with your ants and your dress search Barbie! I think they are both stressful situations. I can't walk in heels, too many years in Birkenstocks. but I do have a pair of sort of dressy flats. I own one dress that I have never worn. No suggestions for dress but for ants get some paper towels or rags and put where you saw the ants coming in, keep them saturated with a mix of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water for a few days.I also spray nearby area. I always have a spray bottle ready as that is what I wipe counters etc with. I've found they don't come back when I do the vinegar. Also for outside any ant hill you see pour cornmeal on it every day. It smothers them I guess. May have suggested this before but I don't remember.
Donna I hope you can go north next summer!! I have enjoyed your crane pictures. Good to hear from you Sharon, sorry to hear the rain cut your trip short but understand, big wet dogs are a bit much especially in a small space.
Have a good day all, I'm going to an indoor farmers market where they have great food and produce along with live music. Always a good time. Yesterday I went to a winery that was hosting a contra dance, lots of fun watching and dancing the easier sets. Had a really good drink that was Lingonberry juice, a bit of Seven UP and rose wine. YUM and Lingonberrys are good for you

Good Morning. I have no new news. Still smokey as all get out. Going to be 97° today so I am hibernating....again. Getting kind of tired of having to stay inside. I know the dog misses her walks but the smoke is really bad so dont want to have any respiratory problems.

Been looking at Netflix series options.....so far I have either seen it or not interested. Guess I will see what Amazon video has to offer.

Finished my morning housekeeping duties, washed my kitchen floor and changed my sheets. I have more to organize in the guest bedroom but not today. Will take the newspapers and trash over later.

Looks like I will now be a part-time dog walker! The company is a spin off from PetCo, called PetCoach. I will be going to a training session tomorrow afternoon in San Diego. So excited!

Supposed to start getting much hotter down here this week. Pushing 100 on Wednesday. With that will be another high fire danger.

Still fighting ants but they like the new ant baits so hopefully they will bring it back to their nest. I found about 20 ants that stupidly tried to swim across the mote around the cat food dishes and drowned in the process. One of my customers today told me about a company he uses to get rid of ants that isn't very expensive. He has 6 cats and they are very careful about not using toxic chemicals around where the cats could be exposed to them.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
